Hulls House Reviews

Keeley
A very well equipped and welcoming home situated in a beautiful village. Our family really enjoyed our time here good space for socialising!
Suzanne
We absolutely loved the property. Very relaxing with a nice garden and quiet location. Showers and bath all very good, kitchen and welcome pack great, beds and sofas comfortable. Close to a good pub, and a short walkdrive to Chipping Campden to find other pubs, restaurants and amenities. A couple of things to improve. Lily of the Valley bedroom door knob was not turning properly and was difficult to open at times. One of the dining chairs gave way as my husband sat down, no harm done but needs mendingremoving. We left a note on it. There were a few cobwebsspiders in the downstairs cloakroom and around some of the light fittings and skirting that could do with a dusthoover. The lighting in the dining table area is quite low for board game playing etc and thought an additional lamp might help. In the main bedroom my preference would be to have a dressing table with a mirror rather than the TV on the wall. None of that spoiled our overall enjoyment and there was plenty to love!
Nicola
A beautiful property in a stunning location.

A heartfelt thank you to the Nichols Family for sharing Hulls House with us. They went out of their way from the outset to make our Christmas holiday ever so special. They had provided a welcome basket of necessities and installed a magical Christmas tree ready for our presents to be placed underneath. The atmosphere was very festive, comfortable and homely. Wed loved to come back in the summer to have a lovely meal in the garden. The fabulous kitchen was a highlight which hosted many memorable family moments. The location was excellent!
We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in this gorgeous house ! Beautifully furnished and decorated. The luxury touches in every room made it such a relaxing stay! The location is brilliant for exploring the surrounding villages and for catching the train into Oxford and London. We holiday in the Cotswolds quite often and will be adding this to our list of must return to! The Gilberts xx
This house was stunning and the perfect location. We had two toddlers with us and they just loved the garden as well as walking into Chipping Campden to the shops and parks.
1. The soap dispenser in shower on first floor was broken on arrival. 2. The radiators in the rooms on second floor were switched off. 3. The batteries in the heating control were flat so purchased new ones. Otherwise the property was fine and Met our requirements.
We had a great week at Hulls House, which is spacious and luxurious. Broad Campden is a lovely quiet village and it's so easy to walk into Chipping Campden via the signposted footpath for shopping and restaurants. It's central in the Cotswolds villages so quick to get to all the local attractions. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

A set of kitchen scales would have been very handy, and possible some plastic utensils for the nonstick pans. Apart from that everything else was perfect in the house , and the village was amazingly picturesque , but do book at the pub if you are planning to eat there,
Sharon
The cottage was lovely, in a beautiful village, the bedrooms were great and spacious. It was strange having an bathroom for 2 rooms to share that the second room had to go through the first room to access it. We were all family but my sister was staying in that room and my husband in our room so it meant a bit of planning to ensure they didn't walk in on each other! The garden was nice but had no seating and it was lovely weather so we had to carry chairs outside and I asked a friend who was living nearby to bring us some camping chairs. The company arrived with garden furniture on our last day so it will be there for others but we missed out! The kitchen and laundry room were not very clean when we arrived. We had to clean the bins and the laundry room floor, some of the plates and glasses were also dirty. They could do with adding a coffee machine for a property this size and grading, its only 70 and it would be a very welcome addition. Also a bit more lighting around the dining table would be a good addition as its a dark space.

A superbly restored period house in a lovely peaceful setting yet still within walking distance of shopping facilities and there is a friendly inn just nearby. The house had all we needed and more for a family Christmas and communication with the housekeeping team was great. No complaints whatsoever .
Cheryl
We had a superb holiday here. The house is impressive, very spacious, beautifully decorated and wellequipped. It was interesting to read about the history of the house and its previous famous owners. The setting was perfect very peaceful and ideally situated to visit the many picturesque locations in the Cotswolds. There are many pleasant walking routes stemming from the village and a charming local pub, serving delicious food is within a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be returning again.
