Ewedale Farm Reviews

Nicola
Absolutely amazing, what a beautiful place. Thankyou so much for having us!
Had yet another lovely stay at Ewedale. First time in this one but it didnt disappoint. Large warm cosy living room, kitchen had everything we needed.Bedrooms were all a good size with comfy beds. There is a hot tub which is huge and really hot but only 3 ventured in as it was cold and windy.would recommend any of Ewedales properties to stay in.Will be back again next year.
Really an amazing place with great surroundings, clean and with all the facilities available. We really enjoyed our stay.
We spent a long weekend here celebrating my birthday and it's absolutely stunning, us 8 ladies enjoyed every second. The guys were super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning
Michelle
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, perfectly spacious for 7 adults, it had everything we needed! Will definitely return
A beautiful, warm, spacious, well equipped cottage. Everything you need. Lovely and clean with fluffy towels that smell amazing.! Fabulous hot tub. Wine gift on arrival which was a lovely touch. Our 2nd stay , can't fault it 1010 Only reason may not return is no pets aloud and the lakes is a yearly holiday we have all together as a family and our daughter is getting a dog. But I fully understand alot of owners don't want pets in their properties for lots of reasons. Will recommend to friends for sure
Hannah
Great cottage, comfortable, private and with everything you need.

We had an excellent holiday in a beautiful location. House was spacious and clean, but had some real drawbacks. Several cockerels running freely outside the windows meant crowing started anytime from from 4am, and continued during the day. The fridge is small, with nowhere to stand milk bottles we resorted to our cold bags for veg etc. Not enough for 8 people! Could also do with more crockery only 8 mugs, and a sievecolander.
Had a 3 day holiday with friends and the home did not disappoint! Was a bit of a struggle to find for some of the party, maybe a sign pointing down the track toward the farm would be helpful. When I drove down the road I was certain we took the wrong road, but it was the right one. Steve greeted us on arrival and showed us around and how to work things. The home its self was spacious, clean and all round perfect for us all. Kitchen was also stocked very well, most holiday homes I have been to supply the bare minimum. The only thing I will say is it would have been nice to have some fire lighters as we couldn't find any in town to light the bbq, but we managed. The only slight complaint I have is that from the pictures the garden looks more inclosed than it actually is. Which Isnt too much of an issue because pets arent allowed but we came with 1 very active 3 year old. Which meant someone had to be on watch 247 as she kept on running off down the path. Would have been nice to have a gate so we know she couldnt get out. Over all the stay was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. 100 recommend and will for sure be back.

The property was clean and spacious, but the doors were not locking properly and there was a bit less of privacy due to doors , better doors would make it super Also we found an alcohol Bottle of course we didnt use it and kept it in one of the cupboards and we were not happy to find it as we are Muslims, we dont stay in a place with Alcohol, So please ask next time if customers accept Alcohol in place or not Otherwise everything else was great thanks
Had an amazing long weekend with a group of friends. Very relaxed and secluded, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life so plenty of time to relax. Has a private garden with hot tub and plenty of space to spend time in the garden and enjoy conversation over a glass or two of wine. Only a short drive into town for supplies which is a bonus as cottage only has a small fridge but dose have a cool stone porch where we stored veg etc. I also have to mention that the beds were extremely comfy. An amazing weekend had by all thankyou

Just returned from an amazing 2 day stay at Ewedale Farm Cottage with friends. The house has everything you can possibly need and kitchen is well equipped. Beds are spacious and comfy and all decent size rooms. The hot tub is a lovely touch and is well maintained. The gardens and outdoor space is excellent and well maintained. Will definitely consider returning.
Lovely Cottage. Beautiful location. everything was lovely apart from Rooster waking us up at 3.39 am. HA!... We live in a very quiet spot in town, so used to no noise.. I gues the countryside is a noisy place.. I need to get some sleep.. The property was well maintained and everything worked perfectly.
Love this place. Its our second stay and it never disappoints. Its better than described and perfect for a quiet getaway. We will be back.
Rachel
Absolutely loved this cottage, we have already booked again for next year.
Michael
What a lovely cottage, really good size, well equipped and very clean, we had a fantastic 3 nights with our older teenage kids and ther partners, the log burner and hot tub were a bonus, the only negatives for us were the very bumpy road wich Leeds into the cottages and the cockral which woke us up early a couple of times, other than that it was a perfect stay, would definitely recommend to others and will be returning sometime this year.
Such a lovely place! We had a great stay.
Bernadette
Great property, very spacious and clean. Comfy beds. Loved the kitchendining room, Everything needed was provided.
Stacey
What a beautiful cottage, very clean and tidy, very spacious. We came this weekend to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. On arrival we were blown away with just how amazing the cottage is. No real complaints however, we asked if there was anywhere where we could get loo roll as 3 wasn't enough for 8 people for a full weekend. I received a messaged stating this is selfcatering not a hotel! Rather rude if you ask me. Also we couldn't light the fire as there was no fire lighters. Again asked and got ignored. Other than these little issues. We can not express how great our weekend was. We will definitely be back
Had a fabulous stay at Ewedale Farm . Couldn't fault it .
Rachel
One of the best weekends I have had in a long time. We were away celebrating a friends birthday. Fabulous house lots of room and all very comfy clean and well thought out. Entertaining kitchen area was fab and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Could not fault at all thank you.
This stay was for Myself, my daughter and my 2 adult granddaughters, we had a really lovely time and the cottage was perfect for us, great attention to detail, really comfortable beds great surroundings it was perfect thank you.
Perfectly situated, property was immaculately clean, peaceful, apart from cockerel at 5am
Fantastic location well away from the town. Brilliant accommodation and not a single complaint about standard of the accommodation.
Lovely property in beautiful surroundings.
Had a great week, lovely comfy and cozy. Everything we needed and more.
Samantha
Absolutely loved this property and was perfect for us 8 adults, 1 infant to be together and celebrate a family members 30th birthday. Amazing property, gorgeous views, lush hot tub, really really great for family get togethers. Ulverston town was a lovely little place to visit & we particularly loved that this cottage was good for visiting the Lake District but also a few coastal towns. A few things I'd recommend for the owners we wished the cottage lounge had enough seating for the amount of people it can sleep, we ended up moving the tub chairs from the kitchen but they weren't great for movie nights. Sharp knives or a knife sharpener would of been amazing. We also struggled with towel amount so either additional towels or a recommendation on the listing to bring your own hot tub towels
Bradley
Lovely place could do with a lick of paint but overall had a really pleasant ... Lovely place could do with a lick of paint but overall had a really pleasant stay everything we felt private despite the other holiday lets nearby would stay again if ever visiting that part of the lakes
We had a great bank holiday weekend here! Would highly recommend
Fabulous week with our grown up children at the farmhouse. The place is very clean and well looked after. The wine and chocolate was a great touch. The beds are very comfortable and the towels are soft. The farmhouse is in a beautiful setting with well kept grounds and the added bonus of friendly cats and dogs. It is in a great location, close to Windermere and Coniston and the coast. The town of Ulverston is a short car journey away with loads of places to eat and drink and a few good shops. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends.
Oliver
Had an absolutely brilliant time. Clean, warm, very comfortable with a lot of room and the log burner and hot tub was an added bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks for a great stay
We had a brilliant time at Ewedale Cottage, the house was beautiful, very clean, lovely and warm and everything we expected and more. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend this to families and groups of friends for a lovely get away. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a great weekend!
Rebecca
We had a wonderful holiday it was absolutely perfecto for our family. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It was incredibly family friendly, stair gate at top of stairs and plastic cups, cutlery, bowls and plates available for little ones. The gardens are beautiful and my son loved exploring into the trees! We will definitely return.
Deborah
Really comfortable place in a great location. Everything we needed and perfect for 8 people. Would happily go back again
Had a fantastic weekend away family of 6, cant fault the cottage one bit, beautiful property very spacious but felt cosy. Finished to a very high standard, with great attention to detail. Made to feel very welcome on arrival then left allowed to enjoy. Bottle of wine and chocolates very nice touch. Will definitely be booking again and recommending to friends.
Gorgeous property, really picturesque, rustic house and very stylish. Facilities were excellent, bedrooms and bathrooms were all lovely. Common areas were both spacious and comfortable. Really can't fault the way the place has been set up. The private back garden was excellent and the perfect spot for the hot tub. Ample parking for four cars. Honestly the only minor niggles I can bring up were The kitchen was a bit under provisioned with regards to cooking utensils and pansbakeware, similarly there wasn't sufficient cleaning products. So cleaning up before we left was a bit more of a task than it should have been. The hot tub was only warming up when we got there and was unusable on the first night, given that we only had two days there, this felt like we'd been a bit short changed on that front, as had it been cleaned earlier we'd have been in it straight away Friday night. Finally there wasn't a welcome pack that we could find with all information included, I had to reference emails and the original listing to identify everything we had to do before leaving, really minor this but if this information was simply printed out and left somewhere obvious that would have been really helpful. However, even with the minor issues we had, I can still very highly recommend this property and would happily revisit in the future. It was very comfortable, really stylish and pretty, and thoroughly good value.
