A clean, attractive and well equipped property. We particularly liked the position of 'The Barn' for it was convenient for many of the local attractions.
Unfortunately due to a family matter we only stayed at the barn for 9 hours, got a phone call to get home as soon as possible. The barn is one of the most comfortable places weve been to, our dog Belle settled as soon as we arrived loved the French doors from lounge to garden she was constantly in and out. The barn has everything you need for a perfect stay and is so peaceful would I recommend definitely A

The Barn is an amazing place to stay very comfortable and clean . The lawned garden was secure for our doggie to run around on. Pete the owner welcomed us and checked to see if everything was ok. The barn is in a great position to visit other places in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend this property and also the Cowouse next door as we visited that one last year. Would definitely revisit in the future.
Had an enjoyable and relaxing 3 nights at the barn. Everything was ideal and very warm. Great company with our next door neighbours 3 pigs. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in Shropshire as it was ideal for a base in order to travel around and explore the county.
Richard
The property was immaculate and very well cared for. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Every need was catered for and the dog friendly garden was the only true dog friendly area we have encountered. The cottage is ideally placed to discover all the area has to offer especially the many potteries. Local convenience store and fish and chip shop very useful. The peaceful and relaxing location would delight most people.
Excellent stay , the property was imacculate well equipped ,Pete was so helpful when our car broke down ,he held the fort with the car keys while we drove home in a hire car . Nothing was too much for him and his mum .we hope to visit again next year with functional car
Our second visit to the barn and we will return again. Pete and the family make sure evrything about the property is first class and a real home from home.
Instantly felt at home here. Everything we needed and more. Very light and spacious. Garden was an excellent size, really close to Shrewsbury and shopping areas. Really good base to explore the area. Lovely and warm. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a very comfortable relaxing break and were really sorry to leave. We will be back!
Hannah
I stay in at least three different cottages a year and this is a great one. Its got all the small things you need that are so often missing A bread knife! A dressing gown hook! A dishwasher tablet for each night of the stay!. No tacky knickknacks cluttering up the place and getting in your way. Gorgeous views from all three sides, spacious, quiet and secluded.
Amanda
We were very pleased with the barn. It is an amazing and gorgeous place. Cannot find any fault with this place. Spotlessly clean upon arrival and so well set up with everything you need. The garden is lovely and secure if you have a dog and the view is just wonderful, whether you are sitting outside or in. The bed was so comfortable, lovely shower and the towels were fluffy and smelt gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, even washing up liquid, cloths and teatowels are provided. The sofas in the living room are very cosy and comfortable. Set down a quiet country lane it is so peaceful with just the birds singing, we had a morning visit everyday from a little robin. Well situated to explore and visit lots of different towns around the area. All in all this is perfect for a relaxing break.
Have come home very relaxed after a wonderful stay in this very clean and comfortable cottage. Great garden for relaxing in and ideal for dogs. The location is spot on for exploring the beautiful surroundings and we were made to feel very welcome. Would not hesitate to book again. Fantastic! x

Maureen
The Barn is a very comfortable well equipped property in peaceful surroundings , thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The Owners Pete and Pam were very welcoming and informative. Thank you.
Lovely newly renovated barn on farmland. Peaceful and an ideal stopover when visiting family in nearby Shrewsbury.
The property is very comfortable and well equipped. Its situated down a track off a quiet country lane and well positioned to visit towns and attractions in Shropshire. The owner was available if we needed assistance and came to visit towards the end of the week. There is a nice seating area in the garden which we took full advantage of having visited during a heatwave. We had a lovely holiday and wouldnt hesitate to recommend the property to others.
Rodney
The Barn is a beautiful renovation with plenty of space for 2 couples. The place was very clean and fittings were modern and very swish. The south facing garden had the sun from dawn to dusk a real sun trap we were very lucky with the weather. About 10 minutes drive from the village of Shawbury, which had a couple of shops and takeaways. Access to many beautiful areas ranging from open moors to woodland walks and National Trust venues. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and we had a fantastic time. Thank You
Jennifer
Very comfortable cottage and enjoyed the peacefulness.
Maureen
This holiday cottage is beautifully presented. It is in a very quiet spot with views of open fields. The owner is friendly and helpful and he called to make sure everything was OK. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other holidaymakers.
We loved the property and the location. Being newly renovated everything was like new and the decoration was excellent. It would have been handy to have a welcome pack on arrival that included more than a pint of milk and 3 teabags however we do take onboard that the property listing didnt mention a welcome pack.
A lovely cottage with everything we needed. It was a beautiful and quiet spot surrounded by fields and wildlife. We found some excellent walks and things to do within a short drive. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would happily go again and definitely recommend it. The cottage was spotless and well maintained. A great holiday.
Deborah
The property was absolutely amazing, one of the best properties we have stayed in and the location is fantastic! We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the property and its location. The whole property was well thought out and super comfortable. It was lovely that Pete popped over to check that everything was okay and I was blown away to hear that this gorgeous accommodation was once a cowshed! We would love to come back again as there is so much more to explore in Shropshire and the ideal location makes it easy to access some really beautiful places!
Fabulous cottage very well laid out with everything you needed. Had to turn heating off as we were too warm. Owner was very helpful and accommodating.
Darren
We had a lovely stay at The Barn over New Year. The property was superb and very well equipped, and ideal for a relaxing stay. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. We took a pleasant walk to the Fox and Hounds one afternoon which is also highly recommended. The owner Pete is very friendly and helpful and provided very good directions to the property. We would happily recommend and return.
Sykes why only 4 ticks , we have stayed at many of your cottages and The Barn far exceeds those you have given 5 ticks . Why is the price point so low , quality delivered by this conversion with its high end fittings and furnishings is simply too low . Owner it was actually a privilege to experience the quality and luxury you provide . Whoever was your builder deserves a medal as the finish and attention to detail goes far beyond the normal in fact closer to a 5 star hotel . Honestly think Sykes need to review with you the price point as your property and its high end furnishings should command a premium . Future bookings you will be amazed by this cottage , easily accessible to Shrewsbury yet within minutes walk from front door you can walk endless miles on country lanes. The luxury of the bedding is as good as if not better than any 56 star hotel we have stayed in even lavender pouches in duvet cover . Superb enclosed garden , clever use of internal space , great wifi , superb underfloor heating and state of the art tv
The direction instructions texted by the owner were very good, these need to be used instead of what is sent out via email.
Esther
Lovely property. The underfloor heating is great and very comfortable.
