A stunning cottage in a remote, but beautiful location with views of Ingleborough, Whernside and Ribblehead Viaduct. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the large lounge and kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub and pool table were well used by us. Excellent walking and cycling from the cottage, and we made good use of the train from Ribblehead railway station. We ate out on one night at the Station Inn which was very good. The owners were super helpful, and always responded quickly to any query that we had. The only downside was the lack of storage space for food, and the small cooker. But overall, a great experience.
Gunner Lodge had the wow factor. It was very clean and had unique decor making celebrations for my husbands 65th birthday with friends extra special. There was an additional fridge freezer that wasnt clear in photos and very welcomed We really struggled to work the gas oven thank goodness for the air fryer !! Definitely recommend!
Lovely cottage and finished to a high standard. Well equipped with all you need. The location was superb. Hot tup in the garden was great and loved by all.
The property is simply stunning and very luxurious. It has every ammenity you would need for a perfect self catering trip. Diane the owner was on hand with any questions we had. Our only downside was the oven it was fairly small and didn't seem to meet the high standards of the rest of the property, cooking a roast took a very long time. We wouldnt hesitate to rebook for a relaxing stay

The oven needs fixing or replacing. What was a stunning property was slightly spoiled by the fact that the oven never got to temperature. We prepared a meal for the oven only to realise the chicken thighs were still raw after an hour of cooking. This was particularly annoying when we asked about food deliveries and we knew in advance that we would need to take and prepare our own food only to find the oven didn't work properly. Apart form that, you couldn't fault the house at all, it was absolutely stunning and perfectly located if you are planning to hike around the Yorkshire dales. The sheep were a beautiful sight in front of the viaduct. I would definitely stay again if the oven worked!

Had a wonderful stay at Gunner Lodge. The property has the wow factor! The location is stunning with beautiful views from over window and walks from the door step. Garden and hot tub amazing. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area too. Owners are lovely and communication with them was great. Loved the welcome pack. Only thing for future is a few more pans for cooking but we had what we needed. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return as we had such a relaxing break!
Lovely property, beautiful decor, high standard of finish and very comfortable beds. The kitchen i feel needed to be bigger and there were no spare cupboards to store our food which remained in carrier bags for the duration of our stay. Not only did this look unsightly and cluttered but we lost track of what we had bought! The oven was too small for 8 and took forever to cook anything. I suspect an electric fan double oven would be more appropriate. The BBQ grill was rusty and again a small size for 8 people but we did manage to scrub off the rust. Otherwise the garden, hot tub and views were stunning and we had a great time catching up with our family. Many thanks
Callum
Absolute brilliant time away. Lodge was amazing.
Lovely cottage in a great location with access to local pub and walking routes for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Sitting between Ingleborough and Whernside the cottage was ideally located and well equipped for our short stay.
Brilliant house for a fun weekend away with friends. Very well appointed with a great sound system and comfortable furnishings. The owners were very responsive in sorting out a minor problem we had. Stunning location!
Fantastic stay at Gunner Lodge. The property is well located for Yorkshire 3 Peaks walks with stunning views of the viaduct, Ingleborough and Whernside. Lodge well appointed and very comfortable. Thank you!
Rachel

George
We had an excellent visit. Thank you for having us.
A wonderful house in a beautiful location. All the family enjoyed it.
Wonderful place Beautiful area Absolutely fantastic! !!
Impressive decor and high quality finish throughout. Hot tub, pool table and open plan layout were perfect for gatherings. Stunning location in the middle of the three peaks so amazing walking on your doorstep and with great views of ribblehead viaduct. No one else around meaning very private too aside from the very cute lambs in the fields around. Great stay thank you.
Spent a wonderful week with the family. The location and peaceful surroundings are just superb. The cottage is very relaxing with four decent ensuite bedrooms. If we had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to put a WiFi extender to the Shepherds Hut so that it could be used for work. Overall a stunning place to stay we loved it!
Property was very clean and well kitted out, had a very luxury feel. Owner was lovely and very helpful, left a lovely welcome hamper. would highly recommend for those after a lodge that gives you the best of both for location and luxury. Where the location was ideal for going out for walks and close enough to local townsvillages for pubs and shops.
Thanks for your service and thanks a lot your house owner she very nice person
Amazing property has all the facilities you need, owner was on hand if we needed anything. Would totally recommend and we will be back.
