The Bybrook Reviews

Overall very satisfied with the accommodation. The inside space was enough for 4 of us and facilities available were good. The bed in the smallest of the doubles opposite the twin had clearly seen better days and a new mattress is badly needed. Combination of location, price, accommodation and facilities make the Bybrook a good choice.
Lovely spacious cottage in a very good location for exploring the Cotswolds. The cottage was very comfortable and the playroom was brilliant. My only criticism was the oven grilling trays were very greasy, not cleaned very well, also a lot of the pots and pans could do with being in better condition. All in all it was a great week we enjoyed in the house, and I would recommend it to my family & friends.

Absolutely lovely, We are a family of 4 from Australia my 20 and 21 year olds loved the fact that they had their own room and space! We loved everything about it and attention to detail. The location was perfect and we had a car to explore the area with parking on site. Highly recommend this place. Thank you from Aus x
The house was in a good location ideal for visiting the sights in the Cotswolds. The house was fairly new and well laid out, facilities were good and we definately enjoyed our stay.
Louise
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was in a great location and perfect for our family! The property was spacious with lovely downstairs space and garden. The bedrooms were nice and big and the property was clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

One of the best VRBO we have stayed in. House is spacious for four of us and can easily fit two to four more. Rooms are nicely furnished. Kitchen is large and has all amenities. We didnt try out the BBQ. Nice enclosed backyard. Parking is limited. You should be fine if you have a standard UK sized vehicle. Restaurants are close by and less than 5 mins away. Grocery store also close by. Only draw back is its proximity to larger country road and traffic noise. Overall 9.510.
Deborah
The house and location was great for us as we had 3 generations. A very well equipped kitchen. the toys and tv in the little down stairs room were an added bonus and although we didnt use the garden it was nice and secure. We noted that the lower hinge on the shower door in the ensuit had been damaged and informed the management company as it will need to be replaced, It did NOT spoil our holiday!!. We will certainly consider booking this house again.
Amelia
The property space, size & location are great, but the facilities are very tired now. Its close to all youd want in the heart of the Cotswolds. The beds, pillows & duvets could really do with an upgrade & the sofas are very worn & dirty now. There are many marks all over the walls, the carpets look filthy & little things like the toilets are stained. It would be great, it just needs a refresh as it seems like nothings been updated since it was built in 2016, which is a long time for a rental.
Lovely warm cosy cottage.

We found ants in the hallway on our 2nd day, we put down the ant bait trap we found in a cupboard. We removed shoes at the door as requested but having to walk across the mat to access stairs we did transfer some dirt, found the vacuum cleaner and tried to clean up as best we could but found the pipe kept coming out. Neither were major problems just something to note for future
We had a lovely weekend stay at the Bybrook. Welcomed by a lovely few arrival treats and milk which was great. Great location. Very clean and comfortable. The fact there was a play room with lots of toysgames for children was also a great touch as we had 2 children staying with us and they loved this.
The house itself is stunning and great location but we had a real issue with an ant infestation in the main ensuite bedroom which negatively impacted our experience. They were all over the walls, the floors, in our bags and we had to take a lot of time cleaning our things in order to leave which made us late. The kitchen was beautiful but would say it's not very user friendly intuitive in how it's organised.
The owners have provided a high standard of accommodation throughout. The house was very clean, well equipped had everything we needed and compfy. Heating came on automatically to keep us warm and if you come in the summer the garden was well kept. You will not be disappointed with this property if you book it.
Lovely house in a beautiful place
Victoria
This is a lovely property in a perfect location for walking into the centre of Bourton. There is a supermarket also within walking distance and its really close to lots of local attractions and nice places to eat. The house itself is great, plenty of room for a big group. Kitchen had enough equipment to cook meals but definitely bring your own condiments. It would have been helpful to have plastic kids platesbowlscups as there were none and with two toddlers this did mean a couple of breakages. The house was clean, beds comfy, Fans provided which was great as it is a warm house. Would recommend bringing own basics like dishwasher tabs, surface spray, washing up sponge, kitchen roll etc. All in all a good stay.
Great location, very comfortable well maintained house. We were able to walk into town easily. It would be great if the host had provided a washing up sponge and tea towel. We ended up having to improvise with anti bac wipes and hand towels.
It is situated in a good position for travelling around the Cotswolds and a ten minute walk to Bourton on the Water . Two of the bedrooms have wardrobes but some of the doors are blocked off so limited storage the other two bedrooms have metal hooks and only 12 hangers were provided for a property that could cater for eight or nine people. There were only four of us and the wardrobe storage was inadequate. The bed in the main bedroom had a dip in it needing replacement or at least a topper as it caused backache. We read in the visitors book that a previous guest had problems with ants unfortunately so did we ,the kitchen and upstairs bedroom and bathroom were affected. The pots, pans and cooking trays were in a bad state the latter were disgusting and all needing replacement ,there were no casserole dishes . The living room furniture needs refurbishment. The shower mat in the bathroom was a revolting piece of rubber that should have been thrown away and the ceiling vent needed cleaning. The house is built near to a main road and with the windows open there is traffic noise. There are two TVs in the house one just for dvds and the other having only about 12 channels no free view and the only app we could use was bbc I player. I contacted Sykes on the day before we left to forewarn them about the ants and other problems so they could do something about issues we encountered. A housekeeper met us on our departure and agreed that our concerns were valid. We were disappointed with the Bybrook as it did not live up to expectations and we did not think it was value for money. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and realise that not everything runs smoothly but this property had more cons than pros .
Had a good stay and we were generally happy with everything. The only things I would point out were that the house could do with more pots pans utensils etc when cateri for eight. We tried to hoover on the morning of departure but the hoover was inadequate due to lack of suction. The property could also use an extra black recycling box. These are minor details and we generally had a good stay thanks. Ken
The house was really lovely, a real home from home. All rooms were very comfortable. There was nothing that was missing. The 5 of us enjoyed a stay and the location couldnt be better. We hope to return.
Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Couple of minor bits on cleaning eg towel rails not dusted and the light in the kitchen covered in cobwebs. But very minor points as generally very clean Thank you
Kinjal
We had a lovely stay at the bybrook. It is a well maintained property. The only suggestion I have is that it would be useful if you could provide table fans in the rooms for hot summer days.I would also suggest to check the kitchen stock. We had only 1 dishwasher tablet n tea coffee cannisters were not well stocked.
Kirsty
Bybrook was a lovely place to stay brilliant for our family of eight to get together. Lots of playing games and the kitchen was brilliant for the Sunday Roast. Location was very good a 10 minutes walk to the town centre and even less to Cotswolds Brewery!!
Great spacious house in a great location.
A fantastic stay in a great location!
Clean, well located, nice space. Perfect for our weekend , Conor
What an unexpected delight. The home is SO beautiful and exceeding our expectations. Very clean, modern and everything you need and more. Great location. I can not recommend it enough!
We loved staying here. Felt like home from home! The kids touches such as games, DVDS and toys was very thoughtful. Great location, walking distance from the centre of Bourton. Would stay again!
Lovely house in a great location. Had everything we needed.
Excellent communication and detailed instructions made it easy for all guests to arrive safely and promptly. The house was well equipped, clean and warm and big enough to accommodate eight people comfortably, and yet always felt cosy and inviting. Further, it's location within walking distance of Bourton on the Waterbmakes it ideal.
Very beautiful house, very good location, can walk to Burton on the water, there is a large supermarket on the road. The house is clean and tidy, especially the kitchen, the facilities are complete, it can meet all our needs, our three families have spent a period here. Pleasant time.
The checkin was very smooth, and we also prepared a welcome cake for us, very warm.
House was very clean, exactly as the photos on your website. Very comfortable, well equipped & very central location
A fantastic location for bringing family together. A comfortable house for seven of us, but could have fitted even more. The house was clean and well appointed, we put our bags in our rooms and felt straight at home. A first time Airbnb experience for some of the party, all left very impressed. Communication before arrival was excellent, with great checkin. Thank you! Matt

Fantastic house very spacious in a great location. Things couldn't have been more perfect. House was clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen. The position in easy walking distance to village which was charming. Definitely think about returning in the future.
The house is perfect for a large groupwe were 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 young children. The house is spacious and well stocked. We were there when it snowed the entire weekend and we felt quite cosy in the house. The kitchen is very functional and large. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.
