Dale House Farm Cottage Reviews

Nicole
Property was absolutely perfect. There were 12 of us staying at Dale House and a couple more staying at another property near by. We were there for 2 nights as we were walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks ! The property was a perfect spot, amble room, extremely clean & lovely to all be able to sit together around a huge dining table. Would definitely recommend for large groups, thank you Dale Farm Im sure we will return
Vivian
A clean, wellequipped cottage, ideally suited to our family group. It was nice to see that toys, jigsaws etc were provided for the younger members. The location was ideal for us, especially being so close to Ingleton and the White Scar Caves. If I was to nitpick, the only thing I would have wanted was a DVD player in the lounge in the event of wet weather. I would strongly recommend this property.
Natalie
The house was perfect for our group of 8, taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. It was located in between Ingleborough and Whernside. Clean and comfortable.
Stayed at Dale house farm for two nights while we took on the Yorkshire three peaks. The property itself was great, more than enough room to comfortably accommodate us all and we were a group of ten adults. The location is lovely, set in a valley of farmland with fantastic views out of all windows and a perfect base to get out hiking from. Would definitely stay here again.
Eilene
We had a great family get together in such delightful countryside. Farmer Simon very accommodating providing split corn for the grandchildren to feed to the chickens.
Stayed for a weekend with friends. Second time here, 3 peaks on your doorstep which a few of us did. Also plenty of other walks right from the house. The house is immaculately clean and very comfortable, would highly recommend. Weather was glorious all in all a perfect weekend!!!
Great property and great location! Thanks for having us!
Sophie
We had a fantastic stay here for a long weekend. The house is lovely, with beautiful views out of every single window. The pictures dont do it justice! Great to be able to do plenty of walks from the front door too!
Lesley
The property was lovely and ideal for our family break. Three families all together for a week and we had plenty of space and privacy. The en suite bathrooms were a great size and the bedrooms had plenty of space for everyone. The dining area was much more spacious than the photographs made it appear. We had five children aged from 7 15 years and they all played outside and had ample space in the large shared bedroom upstairs for sleeping and keeping them entertained. Only three used it as a bedroom but it would have been equally as comfortable with four occupants. The kitchen was well stocked but, as other reviews mentioned, the cooking facilities oven and hob would have benefitted from being larger double oven, separate grill etc to more easily cater for a party of twelve. We were only ten and we had to get creative with dinners. We fed the children first most evenings before cooking again for the adults to make it work. The owners next door were very helpful regarding a tea spillage and feedback about a small maintenance issue. We would highly recommend the property for a large group based on all of the above and the location being excellent. The driveway down was bumpy but to be expected on a working farm with agricultural traffic using it.
Nicola
Fabulous accommodation in a lovely location. Opportunities to enjoy numerous walks direct from the cottage. Judith was really responsive when we had any queries. Spotlessly clean.
Had a wonderful stay. The cottage is beautiful, well maintained and clean and has all required amenities. Beautiful area for walks with many places of interest nearby. Very helpful hosts. Hope to be back in summer.
Very well appointed accommodation in a magical setting with so many things to do in the area. The only recommendation for improvement would be that the drive to the main road should be upgraded. The track is very rough and whilst no impediment to those with an SUV , visitors with lower cars or sportscars can ground on the rocks or potholes.
Philip
Most definitely a home from home. We were a family of 11 who enjoyed the comfort and facilities of the cottage for our weeks stay. Thoroughly enjoyable and great hosts living next door.
Dianne
We found the cooking facilities very inadequate For 12 people. Oven had only 1 shelf & a grill tray. We had expected a range with double oven. The state of the access road was dreadfull. There were more ruts & potholes than driveway.
Kernal
This is great accomodation, well maintained, clean and warm in the heart of a valley outside Ingelton. The location is superb, The children loved it, We went for a family gettogether, 12 of us, there was loads of room and very comfy accomodation. The kitchen is modern and clean with loads of space to eat , all of us sat together. We loved the location and the accomodation. We would like to come back again in summer. We highly recommend it.
Louise
We had such a great time at dale house farm and the quality of the cottage was second to none. The owners were really helpful and readily available to resolve any difficulties. Thank you
Dale House Farm Cottage is the perfect destination for a relaxed walking getaway. You can walk the 3 peaks directly from the house or travel easily to other local attractions. The property was exceptionally clean with all the facilities we needed. The views from the property are amazing and it was lovely to see the farm animals nearby. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to come back next year.
Andrew
Delightful and cosy farmhouse, tastefully decorated and spotless throughout.
We booked this cottage as a base for a group of work colleagues completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Only a 15 minute drive from where we were meeting our guide the location was perfect. The views from all sides of the cottage were stunning and the farm animals wondering around added to the experience. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the under floor heating of the ground floor gave it a more luxurious feel which we all appreciated on the chilly September mornings. The owners of the cottage only live next door which was helpful when one of the group sustained a nasty leg injury and had to pull out very early on. They supplied ice and made sure she was comfortable.Very friendly and happy to help!! I would return to Dale House Farm Cottage without hesitation Maybe for a relaxing weekend away rather than spending 12 hours on a mountain!! Everyone in the group agreed we would recommend the stay!! Thank you for having us!!
We booked the cottage for a short weekend break to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks. The cottage was perfectly located, as advertised, and the views were amazing. The owners were on site if needed, but we only saw them as they treated us. I would recommend Dale House Farm to anyone
The position, comfort, & facilities exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.
Stuart
The cottage is situated in beautiful surroundings, even the beautiful photos dont do it justice, walks from the doorstep of the property. The owners could not do enough for us, any queries they were always happy to help, welcome pack is helpful including local walks. The property itself is furnished to a high standard, large bedrooms and the kitchen offers plenty of space to work, the dining area offers great views into the dales. Undoubtedly the best property we have stayed at, the children loved seeing the animals and the owners were only too happy to show them to us. We cant wait to go back.
We loved Dale House Farm. It is very well furnished, having everything you could need and the 5 superb bathrooms were great for our large group! Lovely farm location with amazing views. Would certainly recommend for a large group.
Elizabeth
This was a brilliant house for a large group. We had 3 young children and a baby with the 7 adults. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and on hand for any problems, which fortunately we didn't have. The children loved the animals, space to play and the pedal tractors. Inside there was plenty of room. The bedrooms suited the families with young and all were extremely comfortable. Downstairs the kitchendiningroom was practical and also a good space to be sociable. The kitchen was very well equipped and conveniently laid out with plenty of room for 2or 3 people to work in at once. The sitting room was also very comfortable, a good space to have some peace and quiet when needed. Ingleton is just a few minutes away in the car for food shopping and we found plenty of quiet spots for picnics and messing about in rivers only a few minutes away in other directions. All in all, young and older had a great holiday.
The cottage was perfect for our family holiday, with plenty of space for all the children to play and explore and great facilities such as en suite rooms, dishwasher, large dining table etc. The views were amazing from every window. We had a lovely week in the Dales in this wonderful home and will recommend to others.
Fantastic cottage with everything you need for a luxurious relaxing break away from it all. Comfortably accommodated all three families, great layout and extremely well equipped kitchen. The owners were lovely and advised us of walking routes and things to do, really great with our children and let them look round the farm and meet the animals. Wed definitely book again ! Loved it!
Wonderful cottage. Lots of space and well equipped.
Rachel
The cottage was so clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it. Very friendly owners next door but let us get on with our weekend so perfect for us all doing the 3 peaks walk
Quiet peaceful location and friendly very helpful owner, ideal for family groups.
Lovely house, very clean, great owners, would thoroughly recommend staying here, fully exceeded all my expectations.
Joanne
Fantastic location, right at the heart of all the places we wanted to visit
Beautiful clean house which suited our family group. Ideal base for exploring the lakes and dales. Masons pub in Ingleton was superb and highly recommended.
A lovely farm house with a beautiful setting. Really clean and well presented with great facilities. Very near to White Scar Caves, the Waterfall Walk, Ingleborough and easy access to many other locations of interest. We were a party of 7 and really enjoyed our stay. A few little touches that would have made it better a small supply of tea, coffee and milk on arrival and a hairdryer or two available for use. Maybe a DVD player in the lounge.
Great cottage, with great accommodation and facilities. Two small niggles 1 for a party of 9 ours, the saupans were too small a couple of larger cooking pans would have made life easier. 2 sign for cottage on the road very small, difficult to see the entrance to the farm in the dark. I will, emphasise these were small problems and did not detract from our very enjoyable stay
