The Old Dairy Reviews

Beautiful, well appointed accommodation. Comfortable, warm and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for a selfcatering holiday. The surrounding countryside is lovely and a good position to explore the area.
A fabulous property in a quiet location. The property is in great condition and tastefully fitted out. The kitchen is well provided for in terms of white goods, utensils, cutlery, cooking utensils etc and items such as dishwasher tablets for example. We felt at home and relaxed whilst staying at the property and the garden was a great space for our dog to run around. The only niggle is that it took a bit of getting used to the low ceiling heights on the first floor and consequently kept bumping our heads.

Great place for a group of friends would recommend rooms are amazing big, kitchen bathrooms all big perfect for get away
Myself & my 2 sisters had a wonderful quiet week here, warm & cosy with all the home comforts & more! Its like home from home. Absolutely beautiful
Perfect Place, warm and cosy. Great facilities with everything you could need provided. Real country kitchen with nice long table for getting the family round. Very peaceful. Great for Dog Walks and generally just chilling. The owner is super helpful. I recommend the walk up the fields and also into the Woods. This is our second visit with the family and we will be back again. Perfection...

A very lovely property in a fairly secluded location which is what we wanted. We stayed as a group of 3 couples. Each room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Slight hiccup with the 2nd shower room midstay, lose carpeting on one of the stairs but nothing huge. Only minor inconveniences as we were a group of 6 adults onpy made slightly inconvenient because one of our group is visually impaired. But host was helpful and polite throughout.
Perfect! One word for The Old Dairy. We have now stayed in both sides of the fence, also in The Goose Shed. Both properties are a real home from home. Kate the owner puts a lot of effort in making a lovely holiday experience. Thank you
Denise
Beautiful barn conversion with everything you need. Warm and comfortable and with lovely furnishings and artwork. Walks from the door for our dog and such peaceful surroundings. You do need a car though as quite remote. Would be happy to return next time we are in the area.
Joanne
We had a lovely stay at the Old Dairy. The whole property was very spacious, wellpresented, clean and comfortable. We already knew the area, having stayed at the Goose Shed in January, and enjoyed the peace and quiet and walks straight from the door. Were confident that well be booking again soon.
It was a lovely place warm and welcoming our host could not have been better. all the house was in good working order

This is a nice property good location to explore this part of Kent.
I was one of 3 friends who wanted to holiday in Kent this summer. After lots of searching, we settled on The Old Dairy for it's location, being central to the places that we wanted to visit. We chose well and had a lovely time. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great, plus the kitchen was large, with all the conveniences needed. We had a couple of issues whilst there, but we contacted the owner who lives onsite, but next door, and she came around immediately to see what needed attending to. All in all, a lovely holiday in a lovely property.
Exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. Quality throughout. Peaceful location on the outskirts of a quiet village but within driving distance of many interesting places.
Amanda
We had a fabulous May week at The Old Dairy! Really appreciate the care and attention to detail that has gone into all the decor and furnishings. Beautifully clean and well cared for. Sofas, beds etc really comfortable. Thankful for a sunny week and enjoyed the outside loungers for a cuppa or maybe a G&T! after a day out. If were in the area again wed happily stay again. Thank you so much Kate.
Very comfortable and well equipped. Really nice to have coffee on the patio. Geographically, its less than 30 minutes drive to Dover Castle White Cliffs walk and not much more to Deal and Walmer. Broadstairs also worth a visit. Our stay coincided with a very warm spell of weather and the temperature in the main bedroom reached 26C. It might be useful to adapt the skylight to open to allow ventilation.
The property was beautiful inside and out. Had everything we needed and more! Loved all the little details in the house like the pictures around the house, colours and design. Had all the kitchen equipment we needed. Was a lovely quiet rural area. The property was clean and super comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Rebecca
Beautifully kept property, the house is spacious and welcoming. The kitchen is beautifully designed and stocked with all the cooking accessories you would need, all open plan leading into the living area and onto the garden which has beautiful views over the countryside. Lots of birds to watch including buzzards and red kites. The bedrooms are extremely generous with lovely soft bedding and extra blankets, although not needed as the house is so warm even on the cold, wet winters days. We stayed for a month and Kate was so accommodating, changing bedding and towels when needed and informing us of any maintenance taking place well in advance.
The cottage is impeccable. Set in a stunning location off a quiet country lane it is perfect for a lovely break. The proprietor Kate is super friendly and makes you feel more than welcome. Ideal also for bringing your dog, as the garden is completely walled. This was our second stay and we will come back here next year!
Wonderful stay at a cosy home. The house itself is incredibly warm and inviting, with great furniture and spacious rooms. Also, the kitchen is exceptionally wellequipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Definitely recommend!
Sophie
We had a brilliant stay at The Old Dairy, it was the perfect base for a weekend in Canterbury with everything you could possibly need. There were many touches that other properties often miss like full length mirrors in every bedroom, children's cutlery and plates and games and puzzles for a rainy day too. Everything was clean and new and we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you, Kate, for such a lovely stay and we'll definitely recommend!
A lovely property that is so comfortable and welcoming. Everything we needed was there. The owner was lovely and very welcoming. We couldnt of had a better place to stay. Will definitely be staying again next year.
Samantha
Excellent property! We all absolutely loved it. In fact my son wanted to stay on a few more days. Will definitely be coming back
Francoise
A great place for a holiday. Everything you could think of is provided. Thank you , Kate, for the goodies you left for us. We had a lovely time with our two eightyear old grandchildren.
Valerie
A truly beautiful property, in a beautiful location! Extremely well appointed , very spacious both downstairs and up. Very tastefully furnished and decorated. It wants for nothing! Beds are all very large and comfortable. Bathrooms likewise are enormous.
Charlotte
Kate was so lovely and helpful. The property was spotless and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated too. Plenty of space and everything you needed.
We was overly satisfied by how beautiful The Old Dairy is, all the luxuries you need were there, such attention to detail. Stunning views from around the property, & the peace & tranquility that you need after a long day. We would highly recommend staying there, myself & the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Kate for making our stay a great experience.
Shahin
Amazing experience and one of the best cottages we've ever stayed at! The owner left us a welcome note and was always available if needed. Highly recommended!
Thank you for such a wonderful stay, extremely clean, very stylish, the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Loved being enclosed and I would recommend to everyone. Would definitely come back! Well done to the owners for creating such a lovely place.
Rebecca
This was the best holiday let weve ever stayed at. Thank you!
Superb property in a quiet and beautiful rural setting. Such a high specification inside, especially the kitchen area and bathrooms, showers. All the bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Absolutely delighted with the accommodation, have never stayed in such a clean and well furnished holiday place.Felt safe and able to enjoy the surroundings in peace. All the family did their morning runs through the woods opposite , it really suited all 5 of us could sleep 6 and we had space within the barn to relax . Lovely coast to explore, we didn't know the county at all, picked it as a base for ourselves and visitors from London, trains nearby from Canterbury. Altogether an exceptional holiday with everything at hand, we all shared the cooking and ate outside in the private garden when possible, which is sunny all day . Definitely has the wow factor, doubt we will encounter such a wonderful place again , will need some finding, thank you .
Lovely Holiday accommodation extremely comfortable, tidy and clean. Everything you could wish for in the kitchen should you require it and two gorgeous bathrooms to pamper yourself in. Location so tranquil you can hear a pin drop! Good base for touring as well.
Beautifully presented immaculate holiday cottage. Everything you could need has been catered for. Highly recommended
We had a wonderful stay. The place was so well presented and clean with a lovely welcome note from the owner. It was so well stocked with everything you might need which often isnt the case at so many cottages. The only things I would say is that the garden felt like a little bit of wasted space and we did not realise that the ceilings in the bedrooms would be so slanted and low. Luckily we were only two fairly short couples so we did not use the lowest ceiling bedroom but we did have a few head bangs along the way. The downstairs though was ideal, the open plan setting was perfect with comfy sofas and a decent sized tv. Perfect for making social dinners and just having that feeling of everyone being around but having enough space to not feel on top of each other.
The Old Dairy is an excellent cottage. With a homely feel to it and furbished and decorated to a very high standard. Surprisingly modern inside. Set in a stunning rural area with great walks with the dog bring wellies
What a wonderful stay we had at The Old Dairy. The house is beautiful and contains everything you could need for a week away from home. We stayed over New Years and were delighted to find it all decorated for Christmas, tree and all!! What a fabulous surprise. The downstairs living area was so spacious and inviting, the kids had plenty of room to play and a separate snug meant when our family visited we could have a relaxed conversation in comfort. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The extra fridge was an added bonus and much appreciated. The beds were all very comfortable and the rooms large. The bathrooms were modern and the shower ginormous and inviting. You could tell that a lot of time, effort and love has gone into making this holiday house feel like a home. All appliances, linen and furnishings were all high end and great quality. A lot of thought has gone into all the added little touches. The owner Kate was such a lovely lady and all too happy to help when we needed a little assistance, otherwise she left us on our own to enjoy our break. Plenty of parking, we had 3 cars, and surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks in all directions. We would recommend this house to everyone, we had a fantastic stay.
Philip
Cannot rate The Old Dairy highly enough. Absolutely beautiful accommodation and we will definitely be back!
Excellent accommodation warm and cosy during a very cold spell. Very well equipped throughout. Good enclosed garden which, In warmer weather, would be enjoyed by guests and dog . I highly recommend this property.
Rosemary
The cottage was delightful and worthy of its 5 rating. The house was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was very spacious and had virtually everything we needed to cater for ourselves, and the beds were so comfortable. Whilst we were there the weather was mixed as would be expected in November, and when the weather was unkind, the house was lovely and warm. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and a lot of thought and care had gone into converting the Old Dairy into a very comfortable and delightful place to stay. We would happily recommend this cottage to anyone as a place to stay for a very enjoyable holiday.
Brenda
Very clean and well presented holiday home. Spacious and comfortable with some nice thoughtful touches, decorated well. We were able to travel from here to many destinations in Kent. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
