Stable Cottage Reviews

Michele
I throughly enjoyed my stay at Stable Cottage, delightful owners, who drove out to escort me to the cottage, felt so cared for, thank you for the welcome, wine & chocs. They also have a selection of wine you can purchase which was a nice touch. Also Paul lit the fire, so it was all toasty on arrival. Its so peaceful didnt hear a thing! Its not too isolated, just a 15 min drive to the beautiful town of Narbeth, full of independent shops. I treated myself at the jewlers & even had my hair cut. I came across a castle quite close, worth a visit, its huge & free. Tenby is closer than I thought, everything felt easy to get too, great base to explore south West Wales.
Had a pleasant, relaxing week. The cottage is extremely well equipped for self catering and has a brilliant wifi connection. The hot tub was plenty hot enough and well maintained as was the little courtyard. Lovely to wake up to the noise of cows and sheep rather than traffic and car radios. We will be back.
Great place, very peaceful and loved the hot tub every evening after we had been out on our visits.
Fantastic property. Well equipped with all you need for a very peaceful stay. Location is great. The hot tub was perfect after alot of walking in and around the area. The owners were amazing. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants some peace and quiet
Christopher
A cozy and comfortable cottage, it is very peaceful and relaxing. We both loved and enjoying our time there. Thank you
Stable cottage is a beautiful lovingly restored cottage. The peace & tranquility of the place is just what is needed from the pace of everyday life. It's well located for exploring the beautiful coast & country & the hot tub is an added bonus for chilling even at night beneath the stars. The use of the paddock for exercising the dogs is a bonus as our furry friends were able to run in safety without risk, thank you Paul for that. I would highly recommend Stable cottage .
Couldn't fault the accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very helpful and informative. Hot tub was excellent and the chocolates and Prosecco were a lovely touch and surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Lovely home from home. Paul very helpful. Everything spot on, will hope to return in the future.

Some of the bigger potholes could do with filling in on the drive. Drawers need dusting. Otherwise a really good comfortable property which we really enjoyed.
Small dishwasher would have been a nice touch! Fly screens would be helpful on the door being so close to the farm, my wife would have liked another mirror nearer to a plugs
A lovely cottage next to a farm. The cottage had everything you would need and the hot tub in the patio area was so nice after a busy day exploring the area. We loved listening to the sheep and cows, nearby, as we relaxed in the tub. The owners sent good directions of how to get to the property and left a welcome treat for us on arrival, which we really appreciated. We had a lovely, relaxing time here.
Charlotte
A real home from home and incredibly dog friendly. If you need peace and quiet, this is the place for you!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at stable cottage. It is set in beautiful surroundings, a very tranquil place to stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The log fire burner was a bonus. Our dog Molly enjoyed the freedom of walking up the farm lane and playing the paddock. My husband met Paul and he reiterated if we needed anything to contact him or Paul Janet. The bottle of bubbles and chocolates were a lovely gesture and we would highly recommend it to people who enjoy the countryside.
We had a wonderful stay at Stable Cottage. The fizz and chocs were a lovely touch. Paul was great and nothing was too much trouble. He even moved his lambs out of the paddock so our dogs had free reign to exercise all week. We really enjoyed coming back after exploring that part of Wales to a real home from home lighting the log burner and relaxing in the hot tub. The cottage was very comfortable and has a lovely sower with super hot water. We always like to try and go to working farms as we like the isolated feel. Paul was always contactable if needed but respected our privacy. We would love to return in the future and would recommend.
Absolutely delighted with our stay at Stable cottage, definitely a hidden gem. Peaceful and tranquil, perfect for a short break. We didn't venture far....pretty much from the lounge to the hot tub and back on a loop Highly recommended, thank you Paul and Janet, we'll be back for sure Colin and Michelle
Debbie
A gorgeous hidden gem We booked for a 5 night stay and returned home relaxed and recharged. Arrived using google maps with post code and directions provided was spot on
Excellent cottage, perfect location, peaceful clean and well equipped I couldnt recommend this place more.
Charlotte
We had such a fantastic time at Stable Cottage. We are a small family with a 4 year old and he loved the farm, seeing cows, sheep and lots of wildlife especially a very friendly cat! The Cottage is well stocked, very clean and comfortable. Each evening we returned for dips in the hot tub which was a welcomed treat. The area itself is beautiful we managed to walk Llamas, visit gorgeous beaches, take boat trips and visit castles. If I could upload picutres I would to share words dont do it justice.
Stephanie
Absolutely amazing place, nothing was too much trouble for them. Paul came to welcome us. The whole stay was wonderful. Will definitely be coming bach here, if they'll have us
Lesley
Lovely cottage on working farm . The pictures do not do it justice it is so much bigger then it looks with wonderful views of rolling hills ! Listening to the bleating lambs and birds singing made it a wonderful rural retreat. The hot tub was the added bonus and was great after a day of sightseeing ! Owners were close by and made sure everything was ok for our stay but were unintrusive . Thank you for the Prosecco and chocolates as a welcome gift ! The cottage is up a long rural lane which may put some off but it was fine for us and we enjoyed an evening stroll along it with the dogs watching the lambs in the fields ! Great base to check out the area Pembroke castle 30 mins away same with some nice dog friendly beaches ! A very relaxing week away and slept great in the comfy beds ! Thank you so much for this lovely retreat in wales
Jonathan
A beautiful cottage located in the countryside and whilst located near to the owners farmhouse it did not feel that way at all. Hosts were invisible unless you needed them. The design had been carefully considered which worked well and the hot tub was fantastic and we made sure it was used every day regardless of the weather! The seaside towns are not too far away for days out however just relaxing at the cottage for the day was just as much fun. Highly recommended.
Stable cottage was just what we wanted a peaceful little retreat to relax and unwind. Log burner and hot tub was a super addition. Paul the owner was on hand if needed. Paul even lit the log burner so it was warm inside the cottage for our arrival. Gave some handy tips with directions which helped us to find the location. Stunning views from the dining table when eating breakfast. Will definitely visit again
We loved our stay at Stable Cottage. Such a lovely conversion, comfortable and homely throughout. We arrived in snow, unusual for the area. This made access to the farm where the cottage is very challenging to say the least. However, the care and concern shown by Paul was excellent. He checked in on us when we'd arrived to make sure we had supplies, even providing us with milk as we had none. The hot tub was excellent and preheated on our request. The fire was set, ready for us to light. The owners had kindly changed the welcome bottle of fizz to a non alcoholic one on our request. An enduring memory will be enjoying the hot tub while it snowed on us! And also curling up by the fire with a good book. Great retreat and we'd definitely book again.
This is our 2nd Visit to this lovely, peaceful, cosy, warm cottage. The only things around you are sheep wildlife and countryside. The owners Paul and Janet are on hand if needed. Prosecco and chocolates on arrival. The added bonus are a hot tub and a log burner that can be lit before your arrival if needed. We will be back for a 3rd time xx
We stayed with our 2 children and our dog. It was so peaceful and relaxing just what we wanted. The hosts respected our time on our own but were always on hand if we had an issue, which was only the t.v wifi. The hot tub was our best part of the holiday and we would make a return visit.
Owen James
Great location and beautiful cottage which we would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away to West South Wales. Quiet property finished to a high standard. Clean, tidy and the hot tub is ideal for an evening soak!
Katrina
A really lovely cottage , very spacious , comfy , good quality fittings and clean . Two very good size bedrooms , double bed used and we found very comfortable . Good quality bedroom furniture in both rooms.Nice quiet surroundings , peaceful nights sleep. Excellent shower and lovely bathroom. The use of a hot tub if required. A store room with machine , bins , drying for wet gear. Best of all a paddock to use for our dogs to run free. Beautiful surroundings and lots to do near by .Friendly hosts that are on hand if you require assistance . A welcome of fizz and chocolates on arrival . A log burner that would be lit for your arrival not needed with Indian summer temps. A nice gem of a cottage .
We had a lovely stay, the weather was really sunny so the shaded courtyard was good for the dogs and the hot tub an added bonus for us. It was quiet so easy to relax, unwind and walk up the lane to admire the views. The location is perfect for exploring the area, inland and sea side. The hosts were on hand if needed, which we didnt. Would stay again if in the area.
Natasha
We had a lovely time staying at this cottage in some of the most beautiful surroundings. The cottage had everything you could want as a home from home, with the added luxury of having a hot tub to ease the limbs and watch the stars. I would definitely recommend this cottage as our hosts frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. A real gem!
We had a lovely stay at Stable Cottage. Very peaceful home from home with everything provided to make our stay enjoyable. The hot tub was a bonus!
Had a great week with the family at Stable Cottage. Lots to do in the surrounding area, my kids loved the day out at Folly Farm and I only made them visit one castle this holiday. Was always great to come back after a long day out and chill in the hot tub followed by sitting in front of the log burner. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and I forgot just how fabulous the night sky is without all the light pollution I am accustomed to.
From walking in and finding a nice bottle of bubbly and chocolates, to dropping off field mushrooms, we were looked after throughout our stay here. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, the hot tub was so nice to relax in at the end of the day. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the beautiful area. We would certainly recommend staying here, and yes we hope to return soon. Oh and I must say its very very peaceful, just what we wanted.
The photos on the site of the cottage dont really capture the true beauty of it, its wonderfully placed in a rural setting peaceful, sit back relax either in the hot tub or the garden furniture close your eyes listen to the birds singing was delightful. The welcome gifts are lovely not saying what they are book the cottage and find out, you wont be disappointed
It was the second time for us to stay at Stable Cottage, its perfect, the property is clean and well equipped, the hot tub is stunning, very peaceful location. Will definitely be back for a third time.
Richard
Great cottage for staying. Hot tub superb, and fire was needed. Very peaceful and convenient for any coastline
