Dallicar House Reviews

Stunning accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Couldnt find fault with anything
Amazing! Even bigger and more beautiful than the photos show. Perfect for a week away with the family. Loved the setting, hottub and house.
Louise
Was a lovely weekend. We all had a wonderful time. Nice walks , lovely pub at the end of the lane and a beautiful house.
Olivia
We had a wonderful stay at Dallicar House. The house was spotless on arrival. It was so well equipped, with thoughtful extras that most places dont include, like dishwasher and washing machine tablets, plus basics such as salt and pepper. The helpful information book with taxi numbers and local tips was a great touch, and the owners were only ever a message away incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout. We even enjoyed a lovely 25minute walk into Settle while the weather held off! A fantastic stay all round we wouldnt hesitate to return.
Fabulous property, high spec, lots of lovely amenities that make for a comfortable stay. Clean, bright, homely, in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommend.
Jillian
My 4th time visiting Dallicar House. Wish I could move in permanently! 12 members of family were all comfortable celebrating 80th birthday party weekend. So much space , so well laid out.
Claire
We spent the most magical Christmas at Dallicar house. So much thought had gone in to the extra touches for us, we arrived to find the house had been beautifully decorated and lots of treats had been left on the side for us. The barn is surrounded by farmers fields, we loved the occasional sheep coming to have a look through the window at what was going on! The house is so well insulated and the addition of underfloor heating and the wood burner made for such a cosy stay. We had a full Christmas dinner to prepare, but found the kitchen was kitted out with all we needed very much like coming to a very luxurious home from home. All the bedrooms are beautiful, each having its own en suite and stunning view. The weather during our stay was cold but bright and so some time spent in the hot tub as the sun set will stay in our memories for a long time. We grew up in the village of Giggleswick so we are already very familiar with the area, there are so many stunning walks on the doorstep and the fact you can walk down the lane to the Craven Arms is the cherry on the top of the most perfect cake. This is such a special place we wouldnt hesitate to stay again. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Wonderful house in the most idyllic location surrounded by stunning views! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dallicar House to celebrate my 30th birthday weekend, the house was equipped with most things we needed and having the robes for the hot tub was a really thoughtful addition, though the hot tub is small for such a big occupancy house, maximum 6 people but we took turns. On a clear night the sky was breathtaking from the hot tub, we loved watching the stars whilst having a chat. We walked from the house to the river ribble and into Settle. The fire was really spectacular when it got going and kept the house toasty and warm, though the underfloor heating was great too. The Christmas decorations were really nice, and the house was stocked with plenty of plates and glasses, though a bit short on mugs, or maybe we just drank too much tea. We will definitely be back with our family in the future!

This is the 4th year of us having a Christmas celebration at Dallicar house and each time we adore it! So much so weve got our next year booked in already. The house is stunning and has everything you need for the perfect get away!
We would thoroughly recommend this holiday accommodation. We stayed at Dallicar House for a weekend in November for our annual reunion. The accommodation is a luxurious, converted barn on this idyllic farm in the Dales and it was perfect for the 10 of us 5 couples. Its location, near Settle, is very peaceful and yet not far from the A65 and the Settle Carlisle Railway. A great deal of attention has been given to the design and layout of the property and every bedroom in fact every room enjoys a beautiful view from the windows. The owners, who live on site, went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We had a day out at Malhan Cove, visited White Scar Cave near Ingleton, watched the salmon leaping at Stainforth Force and had a delicious Sunday roast at the local Craven Arms pub. Everywhere we went we were met with a true Yorkshire welcome!
A wonderful house in a beautiful location. We loved the hot tub looking over the countryside and the real fire inside the house. Rooms all having ensuites was really nice and the kitchen was well equipped. The pub that was ten minutes walk away was a nice option for dinner.
I booked this holiday house for a yearly reunion of ten friends. We have been gathering yearly for several decades now and are well experienced about holiday rental accommodation. Dallicar House was the best so far. A conversion for up to 12 people in 5 comfortable bedrooms. A large, well laid out kitchen with all the usual facilities. Sitting room with ample seating. The dining table is generous for 12 diners. We did not use the outdoor hottub in September!. The most enjoyable part of our stay was the situation of the house, this is above the owner's farm and provides superb views of beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside. Also there is a fine pub for an excellent evening meal 10 minutes walk away, and shops and interesting sites to visit are a very short drive away in Settle.

We had a fantastic stay for my sisters hen weekended. The property was perfect, lovely location with beautiful views. The welcome basket with processco, crisps and chocolate was a lovely touch. The only issues we had were that we couldnt get the outdoor firepit table to work and the water pressure wasnt great if a few people were showering at once. Otherwise a perfect stay and would stay again.
Lovely converted, comfortable, clean barn, plenty of space for the 11 in our party. Grassed outside area for children to safely play in and the hot tub was very popular. Good outside seating area where we made use of the BBQ. Lovely views, short walk to nearest pub. Many thanks for the welcome pack, Would not hesitate to return to this accommodation.

What a hidden treasure amongst the sheep and beautiful fields. We have had the most amazing weekend, and this house was truly the cherry on the top. It was the perfect size for our group of 11 and big enough to spread out, so we never felt on top of one another. The hot tub and garden space was such an added bonus. The group are already checking their diaries to see when we can return. Thank you for the most wonderful memories, we cant wait to return to your lovely home!
Tracey
Dallicar House is set in breathtaking surroundings. The home has everything you need and more. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the area, but staying in the lovely Dallicar House made it exceptional. We will all definitely be back.
Perfect Property for a perfect weekend
Dallicar House is a superb property in a wonderful location providing ample opportunities to walkers, like us, to enjoy the scenery and nature of the Dales. The eight of us had plenty of space in the wellappointed five bedrooms, kitchen, dining and relaxing areas. Found some nice pubs for eating special mention to the Craven Arms a ten minute walk away and the Talbot Arms in Settle town centre. A truly memorable stay, thank you.

55 We had a fantastic stay at Dallicar House! The place is absolutely beautifulspacious, comfortable, and surrounded by stunning scenery. One of the highlights was watching the sheep wander right up to the windowsit was such a peaceful and unique experience. The house was spotless and really wellequipped, with loads of utensils and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. We loved every minute and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!
Fantastic place for a large group to stay in order to tackle the 3 Yorkshire Peaks in a day. Stylish and comfortable in lovely setting. Hot tub a real bonus!
This is the second time we have stayed at Dallicar house, and it was another fantastic stay. Thank you

On our second visit to Dalicar and have booked again for next year. The house is spacious and comfortable with great views. Beautiful inside and out and very well equipped. We were blessed with sunshine this year which was a bonus.

Absolutely love Dallicar House, this is my 4th visit and we already have a 5th booked! The house is well equipped for everything we need as a large group. Cannot wait to come again!!
Truly memorable stay for our Christmas family get together. Loved it all. Magical setting and beautiful Christmas decor started off our precious holiday perfectly. Thoughtful welcome hamper was much appreciated and we felt completely at home to enjoy the festivities. Thank you from three happy families
What a wonderful property! We rented the house as a festive break for friends. We couldn't fault it. The sitting room is ideal for chatting, watching TV and playing games. There is a fantastic dining room table which seats all the guests and the kitchen area is huge and amazing. All the bedrooms felt luxurious and the house was decorated beautifully with a lovely Christmas tree and garlands. The hot tub was a great feature too, all guests were provided with a fluffy white dressing gown. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. We are already planning to go back.
We stayed FriMon and it was an exceptional weekend. Facilities were outstanding and we didn't want for anything. We asked for more fire wood and it was delivered immediately. There were only sheep for neighbors, very peaceful. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic property and location!

Just got back from a weekend away at Dallicar House celebrating my mums 60th with family. Everyone commented on how well maintained and modern the house was. It had everything we needed and the open plan layout of the house really leant to a large group. We were in walking distance to the local pub, The Craven Arms, which was perfect for one of our evening meals. Wed planned a walk around Malham Cove which was only a 20 minute drive away. Great location! The only small thing I would say, is maybe to add another hot tub, so that larger groups can enjoy the beautiful set up outside together. Thank you for our lovely, memorable stay. We will be recommending the house to friends and family, and hope to be back in the future!
Heather
What a Gem in the Yorkshire Dales. Plenty of room for a group of friends or family, with spacious bedrooms, lounge, a dining area to seat everyone with a well equipment kitchen to cater for our needs. The hot tub with amazing views and plenty of parking. Would highly recommend the nearby pub The Craven Arms. Many thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful home. Would stronger recommend this top quality holiday cottage
Our third visit to Dallicar House, and just as good as ever. The house is amazing and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
We booked Dallicar house for my hen do and it was the most perfect place for it! Gorgeous open kitchen diner where we could all sit and play games and then outside gorgeous seating area and of course the hot tub and stunning views. It really was perfect! Walked down to the craven arms pub for a meal one night which was also gorgeous. I highly recommend this house and cant wait to come back in the future! Xx
Larraine
House was fabulous! Couldn't fault a thing. Absolutely spotless. Welcome treat was a lovely surprise, wine nibbles & tapas fare. Fully equipped kitchen American style fridge freezer, double oven range cooker, plenty of cutlery, crockery, for my party. Hot water was seriously hot & instant no loss of pressure or heat even when multiple showers were in use. Bedrooms beautiful with plenty of storage. Beds & pillows wonderfully comfortable. All ensuites equipped to a high standard. Outside had ample seating by the hot tub & picnic tables. All in all an excellent property which I would love to stay in again.
Christine
What a perfect property a true one off peaceful place any issues owners sorted ... What a perfect property a true one off peaceful place any issues owners sorted straight away The craven arms pub and food oh my what a god send so welcoming and food top marks Also nearby settle which we walked to most days lovely walk many places to eat and drink just to mention talbot arms excellent food service and welcoming people Could not fault anything was a privilege to stay here and will return Also to mention the sight that greets you every morning the cows and sheep and the peaceful atmosphere you could not buy thank you for a fantastic stay was sorry to have to go
Beautiful property. All the decor looked brand new, absolutely spotless. The en suite for every room was a winner. Under floor heating downstairs, pub benches and umbrellas outside for outdoor dining, plus the rattan furniture & hot tub. Hairdryers in every room, iron and ironing board werent listed in facilities but were there. Location was fantastic, we went to nearby Malham Cove for an afternoon out which was beautiful. The views from the house were unreal and sheep and cows right outside the windows. It was perfection, all of it. The only sad thing was the 0930am check out time, thats quite tricky when youre a large group, and we didnt want to leave! but we managed it. Would 100 recommend.
Gorgeous property and any problems were resolved quickly by yourselves but to get the overall 5star feel to the property we think the outdoor furniture cushions need refreshed and to comfortably seat 12 people outdoors was difficult, maybe some additional chairs could help with this. Indoors we felt the crockery and cutlery are very basic and when serving nice food you want nice dishes . All the glassware is fine but the cooking knives could be of a better standard . Overall this is a great house in a beautiful setting and we would definitely recommend and hope to revisit some time .
Angela
Had a fantastic stay. House and surrounding area are absolutely stunning. The only thing I'd change is the position of the hot tub and outside seating so the sun was on it longer. Also maybe some sort of gazebo over the hot tub if weather was bad? The house is equipped with everything you could need! Beds extremely comfortable and everything lovely and clean. Will definitely be back to stay again!
Jonquille
We had a wonderful stay here. The property has everything we needed. The gigantic kitchen and living room space was fantastic for our group.
The only suggestion I have for the host is regarding the extractor fans in the bathrooms they appeared to be nonfunctional despite being switched on. Consequently, the bathrooms became uncomfortably stuffy and steamy, making it challenging for us to prepare one after the other. Otherwise, WOW, what an enchanting retreat Dallicar House turnedout to be! Nestled amidst picturesque countryside, it provided the ideal setting for my friend's hen party. The entire property is spacious and the kitchen was perfect for our private chef to work their culinary magic! It was an unforgettable experience! The host had thought of everything plenty of glasses, bin bags, toilet rolls all the things us organisers panic about in the middle of the night haha. The sight of adorable lambs frolicking outside added to the charm, and the hot tub was sheer bliss. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone and I hope I'm back one day
