Threshers Barn Reviews

Lovely property, great for our family. Very comfortable. Well equipped. The garden was flat and enclosed which was ideal for a toddler and our dogs. We would have used the barbecue if it had been included in the listing. Great walks. Chirk was beautiful and well worth a visit.
Lovely property, really enjoyed our stay. The bed in the main room with the ensuite was not comfortable and very creaky, was difficult to sleep in. The garden also needed to be mowed, or at least could have had the weeds pulled. A lot of nettles around when we have young children wasn't the best. And the plates, cups etc where not all clean when we first arrived. Considering we were told we could only check in an hour later was a bit disappointing it wasn't all clean. Other than these parts, we absolutely love the barn and its location, it offered a lot ad we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.
Exceptional property as described and a wonderful venue for a family get together. At no time as a group of 8 5 adults and 3 children plus two dogs! did we feel it was crowded as plenty of room to spread out. Ideally situated for Llangollen as well as other local sites and walks. We hope to be back.
Threshers Barn is a spacious, clean, cosy, warm and well equipped accommodation and ideal for our three generations and one dog group. Beds were very comfortable and both showers were given 1010 by our party. The downstairs games room with pool table was a great hit with the family and the bike store was a useful asset too. Owners were helpful and responded quickly to enquiries and kindly allowed us a short extension to the departure time. A couple of housekeeping issues which did not spoil our stay were reported and hopefully will have been addressed door knobs missing from two kitchen cupboards. Improvements for me would be more mugs and a second handrail on the stairs to help those of us with mobility issues. Location is quiet and peaceful but only a couple of minutes from the A5. Village shop is within safe walking distance so older children could walk there alone. Highly recommended accommodation!
Many thanks for a superb weekend. My whole family attended to celebrate my 80th birthday. From the oldest me to the youngest grandchildren we had no complaints at all. Clean, cosy and comfortable we had a very enjoyable time. Thank you
Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful barn in a perfect setting. Would definitely recommend
Sharon
We had a lovely stay at Threshers Barn. It suited our needs very well having 3 double beds and 2 bathrooms . We all loved the pool table. The garden was very secure for our dog. It is well situated for getting around both Wales and Shropshire. We particularly liked our walk from the door of the barn along the canal to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct the tallest aqueduct in the world. What an experience to walk over. Also the Ironworks at Oswestry is well worth a visit. Its also a short drive to Cheshire Oaks designer outlet. The only negative was the barn was not particularly clean on arrival.Especially the kitchen. There were bits of food left on the kitchen floor, and down beside the cooker, there were crumbs in the drawers, some of the dishes were put away dirty this was tracked down to the dishwasher being really dirty with food residue , and blocked filter and arms. I took it apart and gave it a thorough clean, it was fine after that. There were several dog poops in the garden obviously left from a previous guest which we cleaned up.Other than these small issues that were easily resolved by ourselves Threshers Barn was perfect and we would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you .
Helena
Lovely property with great conditions and comfortable. Very well decorated, spacious, and with great conditions for a big family. Lovely outdoor space that we unfortunately didn't use much do to wintery conditions. The barn was incredibly warm and we didn't even felt the need to turn on the fireplace. Kitchen is well equipped but doesn't have everything you might find at home e.g. no immersion blender or liquefier if you want to do a soup. Would go back any time!
The cottage was exceptionally clean and cozy, with very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen, including a tassimo coffee maker, which isnt listed and a fridge with an Ice maker, so theres no need to take your own! The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we loved the quiet, peaceful setting. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, we would definitely recommend Threshers Barn.
Katharine
A lovely place to stay with family and friends. The underfloor heating and fireplace were such cosy touches. The open plan layout worked really well, and the snooker room kept the kids entertained for hours. I would definitely recommend it.
Amazing place to stay. Beautiful, clean and cozy. Everything that you could need they had. Pool table was great for the teenagers. Location was great for exploring. Would highly recommend this place.
Deborah
Fabulous spacious accommodation modern fixtures and fittings and comfy bedrooms. Only negative is one of the doors with a low height than one of our group managed to bang their head on not seriously could do with some sort of hazard warning. Heads up if youre if you want a trip to pub a taxiuber is impossible to book.
Great barn conversion. Extremely spacious and well equipped, finished to very high standard. Enclosed garden for the dog. An ideal quiet location to explore into North Wales and Shropshire. Would highly recommend.
The barn was easy to find. First impressions were wow. Lots of parking and the outside space was fully enclosed for children and pets. The downstairs was great for large groups, fabulous kitchen with a massive fridge and cooker and the pool room is a bonus with the extra tv. Upstairs was just as good. Loads of space and the bedrooms comfortable. Definitely a 1010 and we could have happily stayed longer. Wouldnt hesitate in recommending threshers barn.
Angela
We had a great stay, the property suited our needs perfectly and was very well kept. We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.
Richard
A perfect place to stay, all the facilities that you could require and nice open plan for family living. Good for exploring locally and an easy walk into chick or along the canal.
This was an ideal property for our family gathering, its in a good location. We did leave feedback about some issues as asked by the owner as its a new property. These related to the problem we had with the lights in the living area, and various other teething problems. We would recommend the property and enjoyed our few days .
Absolutely beautiful property in a fabulous location. The barn is decorated to a very high standard with high quality fittings and fixtures. Lots of small helpful items available. A great place for a larger family group to stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. We would love to return!
Fantastic location, quiet and great for dog walks we visited National Trust, Oswestry Old race course, Llangollen and Ellesmere. We had a great few days, cottage was brilliant, kids loved the pool table and a great dining table for family meals and games.
