The Hayloft Reviews

What a beautiful place we absolutely loved it! Surround by the animals and watching the birds of prey in the valley. Would highly recommend and we will probably return at some point.
Catrin
We loved our stay! Melissa, the host, was so helpful before and during our stay. We will definitely be back. Diolch yn fawr.
Joanna
The property was perfect for our family gathering. The hot tub was used every day. The kitchen had good equipment eg slo cooker, rice cooker, plenty of plates, bowls, etc. could have done with an extra bathroom with 10 people but other than that a wonderful holiday. Thankyou.
Beautiful house over looking a stunning view. The owners were to hand if we needed anything and sent us WhatsApp videos to aid with opening the bifolding doors and hot tub which was a great help. Otherwise they left us to our own devices. If youre looking to escape with minimal surroundings this is the perfect place. If you do wish to get out and about there were plenty of leaflets to recommend outings. The house itself is super spacious with comfortable beds and heated floors. We arrived to a lovely little surprise of a home made lemon drizzle cake alongside some Welsh cakes, crisps and drinks lovely personal touch. Would definitely recommend and return.
What a beautiful property. We had an amazing two night stay in the Hayloft and would recommend to anyone.
Andrew
Wow what a view! Excellent property in a stunning location, Hot tub with a view
Beautiful property with amazing views! Melissa was really communicative before the stay, and the house was great for us a party of 9 we had lots of room! Would highly recommend.

The overall stay was lovely, and me and my family had a lovely time enjoying the comfortable beds and the use of the included facilitys such as the hot tub and the pool table. However I do feel there is a downfall in communication at least in my experience , it was difficult to get in touch to arrange the key collection had to call around 34 times on different days plus leaving voicemails which were not responded to and then also no feedback at the end of the stay as to whether they were happy with the condition we left the property, even when requested. As well as no response when trying to organise payment for extras we had, me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the location and the property but the communication issue is off putting.
This impressive barn caters for all your group needs. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need for catering for groups. The space allows you to split for some peace and quiet or have everyone together. With the hot tub outside the lounge door with the fabulous view youll feel at home as soon as you pull onto the drive. Clean and comfortable rooms, good communication from the host, great for exploring the area. Mini supermarket 10 minutes drive away, we would return without doubt.
Stunning property in a stunning location. Think we experienced every season whilst we were there, but the property was very cosy with lots of games to play on a rainy day. Melissa and Matt are great hosts and even let us feed some of the lambs, which was a highlight. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break in an idyllic setting.
Jessica
Second visit here fab property, stunning views, gorgeous house to stay in. Would definitely come again. Host is lovely and very welcoming
The Hayloft was one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. We couldnt fault the place at all, everything was just what we needed. It had a modern and cosy feel to it, and the views of the fields in the distance were unreal. We managed to see stars outside like never before as it was an amazing dark zone with no light pollution nearby. The facilities and cleanliness were amazing and our host Melissa couldnt have done enough for us. We loved the hot tub and the way the bifold doors look out onto amazing views, we loved the open plan kitchen and living room downstairs with underfloor heating. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We would love to go back again!
We had an amazing stay at The Hayloft despite the stormy weather. It was such a surprise to find the place decorated for Christmas and this just added to the stay. Melissa, the host, was welcoming and the facilities are fantastic.
Kirbie
Lovely property, exactly as described, fantastic view, lovely window, lovely welcome basket, the hot tub was awesome. Couldnt be happier with our stay
This property and the hosts are absolutely incredible! We have the most memorable weekend away for our mothers surprise 70th. The property is absolutely stunning, perfectly clean and well kept. There was absolutely everything you would need there. The welcome email from Melissa and Matt a week prior was so unbelievably helpful, so much so i referred back to it for tips and places to visit multiple times during our stay. Working in the events and tourism industry i must say this is by far the best property i have ever stayed at. Even if i could have found a fault it would have been quickly outweighed by the fact everything else was so perfect! Thank you so much for allowing us to create such special and memorable moments with our friends and family.
Lindsey
Hayloft was a lush house, very family friendly, everything u needed it had. Views were breathtaking. The weather made it fab too. Location was great to get to lots of site seeing locations. Surrounding of the farm was lovely kids loved seeing the sheep, donkeys. Wales def stole our hearts again. Melissa was always helpful. We never return to the same place because we love trying new places but would def return. Thank you

Esther
We absolutely love this property for our family of 6! the hot tub was used a lot! The accommodation was marvellous, the only thing we didn't do was buy some bubble bath and have a bath. The bath in the bathroom is wonderfully huge so definitely take your bubble bath for this property. We loved our stay. Thank you xx
Hannah
Probably the best self catering rental weve stayed in in the UK. Everything was meticulously done. Great quality. The photos actually dont do justice to the setting and how beautiful it is. Lovely host.
Robert
Beautiful property, a great space for a group. The open plan space downstairs is very cool. Really lovely views out the front from the hot tubpatio and sitting room. The owner lives in the nearby farm and was very responsive to our requests.
Second time of being here, wow what a amazing place, the property still gives you the wow factor when you arrive, and the views are totally amazing. Love the peace and tranquillity here, but the closeness to places. Highly recommend The Hayloft, and the owners Melissa and Matt, nothing is to much trouble for them
Helena

We had a fantastic stay at The Hayloft. It's a great house clean, warm and very well furnished and equipped. We absolutely loved the view from the big window daffodils, lambs and rolling countryside. Just lovely. Communication with Melissa & Matt was excellent they're great hosts.
Bronwen
Such a beautiful house! Very clean and lovely. The hot tub was clean and warm. The view is breath taking! Was beautiful waking up and seeing sheep in the field! Can't wait to book again. Highly recommended. Beautiful breath taking walks and lovely pubs locally. Definitely recommended to friend and family
We had a wonderful time at the Hayloft. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had quality family time making memories. All the facilities were very well thought of and implemented. There were elements of wear and tear in the showers and dining chairs, however that said it wasn't a problem for us as we felt it was a small detail in the grand scheme of the whole package. I would definitely recommend and would certainly not hesitate to revisit in the future. Thank you Matt and Melissa
This was a truly magnificent building with unbelievable views! The host was very good and was easily contactable as well as recommending some lovely things to do. Amazing walks and couldnt ask for anything more. Would highly recommend!
Emma-louise
The house is lovely and is set in beautiful surroundings, the facilities are great, beds very comfortable and towels provided, both for the hot tub and normal showering. The downside is, its just down hill from a farm, which stinks, a normal farm with normal farm smells wouldn't be so bad, but the smell is really really strong. This means that there is an abundance of flies everywhere, the house is full of them, it made cooking in the kitchen really difficult as the flies landed on everything, more than 30 buzzing around. There were dead flies under the bed, I counted 20 under mine. it really spoiled the stay. The hot tub was lovely and warm, but hadn't been cleaned properly and a previous guest had obviously got in with fake tan or something and there was a greasy scum around the top of the hot tub and brown foam when you put the bubbles on. The hot tub wasn't ready when we arrived, but if it had been clean we wouldn't have minded so much. It was sorted during Saturday and that was much better. There is a fire pit, but could really do with a BBQ, this was raised by a guest in 2017 so hasn't been addressed. Getting a taxi anywhere is a no go, but the owner organised a very lovely man with a mini bus to take us into the nearest town so we could have a meal and the local pub, we then had to ring him and he picked us up. Fantastic service and only 20 each way, although we paid him 50 because he was great. If you could pick the house up and put it a bit further away from the farm then this is the most amazing place. But marred by flies
Anushya
Amazing property with views to match. Caters for all ages. Lots to see and do. Melissa was very accommodating and helpful with any queries. Everyone enjoyed their stay, young and old. We will definitely book again.
