Tynddol Barn Reviews

We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing family break and this is exactly what we received at this stunning property perfectly located, beautifully furnished, fully equipped, clean and with the most gorgeous views.
This property is absolutely stunning. The facilities were spot on and perfect for a girls weekend of relaxing.
Christopher
Pictures do not do this property justice. As a group of friends having a relaxing weekend away to celebrate a birthday this was perfect. Great sized bedrooms with comfortable mattresses Great kitchen with all you would need for a stay Will definitely be planning to stop again
Catherine
Lovely place! Friends and I had a great stay for a midweek including New Year's Eve. We loved the Christmas decorations, enjoyed the hot tub and cooking in the spacious kitchen. The house was warm, comfortable and very clean. Nice evenings by the log fire. We travelled up north for Bounce Below and underground golf too which was a lot of fun. We hope to return in the future! Highly recommend!
Beautiful property in an iddylic location. Clean and comfortable.
Property was in a lovely quiet location, plenty of outside space and great views. Lots of dvds and games for a quiet evening in. Could do with some updating tidying inside the property as well as updating kitchen utensils. Owners were very accommodating as we had surprise guests visit for a few days, would recommend the property for a quiet holiday place to relax or for a base to explore the area further.
Lovely relaxing stay. Leading into the holiday we had seen some negative reviews on other booking sites for the property, so we were feeling apprehensive about what the cottage would be like. We need not have worried, as the cottage was clean and very comfortable. We arrived on one of the hottest days this year, and it was a pleasant surprise that there was an air con unit and fans on in the cottage to help make the temperature more comfortable. Previous reviews have made comments on the number of flies, yes, there are some flies but this is to be expected as the cottage is in a very rural position surrounded by fields with livestock. The owners have done their best to help with any flies in the property with fly papers supplied and a bug zapper in the kitchen. The one recommendation we would have for anyone staying is to bring extra towels, you have one towel and one hand towel per person, so if you are using the hot tub it is a good idea to have an additional towel, so you can shower before using the hot tub and then have a dry towel for when you get out. On arrival we found the garden furniture parasol was broken, we reported this and 2 days later a new one was provided. The only thing that could have made our stay more comfortable would have been some more comfortable garden furniture, with the lovely weather and the cottage being in such a beautiful peaceful location we spent considerable time outside in the garden, and it would have been nice to have loungers or a rattan sofa to relax on, rather than the metal chairs with seat pads. Overall totally recommend the property.
Beautiful property! Even more impressive than the photos ! We absolutely loved it and it felt like a home rather than just a house you stay in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again!
Kimberley
Thank you for a wonderfully quiet, peaceful stay. We very much enjoyed the beautiful garden and views, the hot tub was a delight and well maintained during our stay. Wed recommend and would return.
Michael
Cottage is located in a beautiful setting, is well appointed and has most things required for a relaxing break. Will definitely consider going back.

Excellent. Lovely remote spot in beautiful countryside exactly what we were looking for. Rolling hills, pleasant walking country. Comfortable, modern, wellequipped cottage. Decent log burner and a good hot tub make this a great place for a stay in the depths of winter, whatever the weather. Really good welcome basket. Large supermarkets in Llandrindod Wells and Newtown, but recommend you come with your own provisions.
Nicole
We have just stayed over the weekend The barn was stunning really clean and had everything you needed we loved it!
Dianne
The time we had a Tynddol Barn was a very happy one. The barn was so comfortable and with the log burner lit it was a good place to be. Lovely views, great walking and a happy atmosphere. Tynddol Barn is to be highly recommended.

The place is good enough we booked it twice within 3 months. Only inconvenience was that only 2 dishwasher tablets are provided. Would have been a nice touch if it had 1 for each day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Tynddol barn. Thank you for providing such a clean and well equipped accommodation in such a lovely location. We would definitely love to return!
Beautiful place to stay. Very private.
Beverley
We had a lovely week here visiting the many places of interest in mid Wales and have been inspired to visit the area again. Our favorite was the Red Kite Centre, what an amazing experience! Waking up to the birdsong was delightful and watching the house martins by day and bats by night! Whilst the property and location were absolutely lovely and the welcome items were really thoughtful, I have a few of issues to point out please. Kitchen utensils. Can opener is faulty, you need a new one and the wooden spoon has seen better days. I do a lot of home cooking so I bought a silicone spoon, spatula and tongs which I have left behind for others to use. A few smaller food prep bowls would be handy too please. Cleaning materials, only washing up liquid, hob cleaner and 2 dishwasher tablets were provided. I have had many holiday lets and Airbnb's over the years and it is customary for hosts to provide extra kitchen handtea towels, antibacterial, degreaser sprays, enough dishwasher tablets for the week & extra cloths, for cleaning around to maintain a satisfactory hygienic environment. These were extra items that I had to buy so I've brought them home. I always leave the kitchen immaculate and vacuum all around before leaving. No basic long lasting groceries supplied, e.g. salt & pepper, cooking oil, again I bought these and took them home. Washing machine, urgh! when I opened the machine to do a laundry load, the rubber seal and drum edge were really thick with black mold which took an age to clean off and then had to do an empty wash with antibacterial liquid to make it useable. The machine would benefit a deep clean and a note to remind folks to leave the door open to dry out. No mop and bucket to clean the kitchen floor. Flies, I'm well aware that these are to be expected living next to livestock but there was no sign of an electric fly guard nor any supply sticky fly papers as mentioned in the house. Again, I bought box of fly papers myself and left the rest for others to use.

Our family including children recently stayed here for a weekend break. We couldnt recommend this property enough. Beautiful holiday home, with everything you would need, comfy, clean and tidy. A great place to stay if you want to escape to the Welsh countryside for peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning one day. Lovely family memories made here. Thank you!

Very clean place, very private overall I had a very good experience. The only suggestion I have is that I can raccomand to the owner to invest in something to cover up the hot tube as because it was raining outside and very windy so we couldnt enjoy it as much as we wanted
Our second holiday at this incredibly beautiful property. Which has been sensitively converted. A stunning setting in the bottom of a valley. Sheep in the field abutting the boundary fence, nothing but open countryside to admire. Love it! Super peaceful. The hot tub is fab. With the lights turned off at night, we enjoyed star gazing. The only slight negative is that there's not a great deal to do around that area with kids, but if you want tranquility in bucket loads, this is the place. We will return again.
Victoria
The family stayed over Xmas and had the most wonderful time ever. The spotless accommodation and facilities were first class, with everything we needed. We would highly recommend.
Kieley
Absolutely beautiful place, well equipped. Thank you we loved it x
Pamela
Tynddol Barn is one of our favourite holiday cottages. We've been twice and are looking to go back again next year. It is beautifully appointed, quiet, relaxing and with stunning views. We love the birdlife which surrounds the cottage and watching the farmer move the sheep along the lane. Wonderful place!
Andrea
The property was lovely and very comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus which we loved. Comfortable beds and the decor was understated and calming, just what we needed. The barn was lovely inside and out and the age range of the group was 2 68years and it suited us all. Even the weather, it rained all weekend, could not spoil the venue. The kitchen had all we needed except oven mitts which meant using the oven difficult. Also no tea towels, I appreciate these are not always provided and there was a dishwasher. The owner answered a query promptly. We would have liked to stay longer. A fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend.
Christine
Nice rural property. The property is in good condition, with a well equipped kitchen. First property we've rented that actually has three good sized bedrooms and a wardrobe in all three rooms. Hot tub is great.
Pamela
We found this property perfect for a relaxing short break. The house and surrounds are beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the sun, reading, birdwatching, having meals outside with a glass of wine in the evening. Barbeque and hot tub a nice addition. There's lots to see in the area and places to visit shopping at Newtown, the lake at Llandrindod Wells. Tynddol Barn is a stunning property in a lovely area.
Crystal
Had the best time here with my partner and friends. It was extremely relaxing with all the facilities and amenities nearby. It was great knowing that the hot tub was at hand switched on however, didnt use as much as we hoped but very much enjoyed cooking and relaxing there and we didnt go out a couple of day. I have recommended to my friends and family to book as it is an idea place to relax. It was exactly what was needed and I was surprised at the size of the house when I arrived the pictures dont do it justice. On out stay it snowed making it even more magical. The place was clean when we arrived. We made use of the fire which was lovey treat on a snowy day. I would definitely return here again! Beautiful place and the surroundings are just superb 1010!
Lauren
We had a lovely stay here for our 10 year anniversary! The location was so peaceful and private, we loved every minute of of it. The hot tub was definitely a great feature and even when the evening was chilly we could enjoy a lovely view of the stars. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we hope to return in the future.
Amazing place we loved every minute of our stay with you, the hot tub was an added bonus too
This cottage was wonderful, blissful, amazing and we did not want to leave the week went by far too quickly! The setting is wondrous in that it is so quiet apart from hearing some sheep running a couple of mornings being chased by a sheepdog but who wouldn't want to hear that? The lovely living space was so cosy of a night time with the blinds closed and the lamps on with the four of us all glued to our favourite seat on the couch with either a glass of something alcoholic or a humble teacoffee. The beds were to die for, literally, they were like heaven. But the most fabulous facility would have to be the best hot tub we have ever been in it kept its temperature throughout the daynight, it was so clean, and it was all ours for seven exhilarating days and nights please don't pass this place by without giving it a good look over as you would never be disappointed.
We have had a lovely week at this property location was great, accommodation was spot on very relaxing & private, hot tub was a nice touch,we also enjoyed the outside fire pit . Very convenient for touring around lots to see and do,would definitely like to revisit in the near future.
Lovely property ,well equipped and comfortable, ideal setting for walkers and great for pony trekking, brilliant hot tub, would recommend this property to anyone.
Rajarshi
A very nice holiday at a very quiet and peaceful location. The property and the hot tub were fantastic! The owners were accommodating enough to provide us with an extra fan during the hot weather and provide us with an artisan hamper of cookies & biscuits on our arrival. It would have been nice to have an extra fly catcher in the reception area there a quite a few flies! and to have a few basic ingredients in the kitchen salt, pepper, etc.
Had a wonderful week here with the kids. A comfortable home in excellent condition. Owners were very pleasant and helpful. Its beautifully set and even looks better in person. We enjoyed all the facilities. A few friends have already requested for details! Very beautiful place indeed. Thankyou for having us.
Had a great weekend away, beautiful place very secluded perfect place to relax would defo consider going again
