Munderfield Mill Reviews

Fantastic stay at this beautiful barn, could not fault a thing! Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable very well equipped and loads of space. If there was one thing as 6 ladies all knocking 65 the staircase from the kitchen up to the bedroom could benefit from a handrail but that's all. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the lovely welcome of the cupcakes! Would love to return hopefully one day xxx
Stephen
We had a family weekend away loved the place. 4 grandkids had room to play and plenty of space for the adults to sit soft. Kitchen was well stocked, and the owner left enough items to make our first hours comfortable teacoffee, milk, biscuits, bread and jams, etc. Plus a lovely homebred sponge cake. YES, we'd book it again.
Wonderful barn! Easy checkin and checkout. Everyone is super friendly. Lovely layout and easily accommodates large groups. Lots of kitchen equipment available and when we arrived there was milk on the fridge, a loaf of bread and a delicious homemade cake. For dog owners the open plan kitchen and lounge with different doors out to the garden worked really well for us. The garden wouldnt be secure for small dogs as they could fit under the fence but fine for the larger dogs and those that just need a visible border. Wouldnt recommend for reactive dogs as there are farm dogs that come up to the property to say hello who are lovely, very friendly and well behaved. Bromyard is a 10 minute drive away. Lovely small town with nice pubs and shops. Highly recommend visit to Legges for some delicious food shopping! We split a tyre on our van and called Revolution Tyres in the town who came out and replaced our tyre, all the locals we found to be friendly and helpful. The countryside was beautiful and we wouldnt hesitate to go back!

We had the most incredible stay here for Christmas 2025! The beauty of this place is simply breathtakingthose photos just dont capture how stunning, rustic, and spacious the rooms truly are. Even with four adults, two kids, and one dog, we never felt crowded. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, whether we were in the main lounge or the snug, watching TV, playing games, or curling up with a book by the cozy log fire. The boot room was a game changer for storage, perfect for keeping drinks chilled while the fridges were packed with food. Our bedrooms were generously sized, and the beds? So comfy! We all enjoyed restful nights. The kids loved being able to zip from one side of the house to the other and had a blast using either set of stairs. The builtin stair gates were a thoughtful touch that made our stay even better! The Christmas decorations were absolutely enchantingthree beautiful trees adorned the space, and those welcome mince pies, milk, and bread felt like a delightful bonus. The upstairs landing was the perfect spot for a morning coffee, and the kitchen was outfitted with everything youd need to whip up delicious mealsplenty of pots, pans, trays, and glass dishes for baking and serving. There was even a fantastic assortment of cups, glasses, and cutlery, plus kidfriendly plastic dishes which worked perfectly! We were thrilled to find three baskets of logs for the fires, with the option to request moreso often overlooked, but such a thoughtful detail! Ann was wonderful and made us feel right at home. Her dogs hit it off with ours, and together they had so much fun playing on the farm! Right outside our door was a lovely track leading to an expansive field by a duck pond, where our dog got to run around every day. All the doors throughout the house made it easy for the dog to come in and out, allowing the kids to play outside while keeping everything safe and enclosed. Our only suggestion would be to add a blind to the downstairs toilet in the utility room, but honestly, thats such a small detail compared to the fantastic experience we had. We truly had a wonderful stay!

We loved the barn, big yet homely, with welcome cake on arrival. Beautifully laid out and very clean. We asked for fire wood and it was delivered to the door. There were toiletries in the bath room. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery, glasses and mugs. Would recommend for a large group or 2 families. We had a wonderful time.
We booked Munderfield Mill for our annual family holiday and were thrilled with the choice. Any enquiries made both prior and during our stay were followed up immediately. We enjoyed the welcome provisions. There was plenty of parking and access to walks for the dogs from the house. There was generous amount of space downstairs in addition to balcony and sitting space upstairs. The mezzanine family room, twin and double were all interconnected. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and gamespuzzles to enjoy. Highly recommend thank you
We had a wonderful time at Munderfield, we where staying as two families for a family wedding in the area and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The children loved their time here, added bonus of feeding the lambs each morning! Everything you could have thought about needing was there and more. Lovely care package of cakes, milk and bread on arrival too! Thank you so much.
A lovely stay, a home from home. Children loved the dogs and seeing the other animals. Bread and milk etc on arrival was a nice touch, and the homemade cakes were lovely. Would stay again if ever in the area.
Lizzie
Amazing stay. Highly recommend, the host left some home made cakes which was a lovely touch. Beautiful home and location, be mindful of the cow residents on your way in and out of the farm. Will definitely be back!
Jeanette
Lovely setting apart from the potholes on the lane! , we were warmly welcomed with an amazing cake & friendly faces some of the dog shaped!. The house was really clean, lovely big rooms & fluffy towels. Enjoyed being able to have a look around the animals and even met a calf only hours old too!, Ann was very happy to chat & tell us about the farm, gave us some suggestions of walks too. Very enjoyable stay, we were left to ourselves but knew we had contact numbers should we need them. Thank you for a fab weekend away!
Absolutely fantastic We had a lovely stay. It was cold outside but we were cosy inside and could look out on the wonderful rural views. The owner was really friendly and helpful. It was a perfect break and we will definitely return.
This place is fantastic
Susannah
Fabulous cottage. Much better than photos show. Very helpful and welcoming hosts. Left us bread, milk and a delicious home made cake for when we arrived
A fantastic place for an extended family break, even if storm Bert meant our plans had to change with events we had planned to attend cancelled! Lots of space for everyone and very well equipped. We didn't get to sit out on the balcony or use the covered seating area but I can imagine they would be lovely in the right weather so we will have to return. Ample dining crockery meant we didn't have to have the dishwasher on at all times. Comfy beds and quirky features. Lovely location on a working farm with walks from the doorstep and my tractor obsessed nephew didn't care that we didn't get to see the Christmas lights as he got to see tractors! Great hosts with a beautiful homemade cake waiting for us which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend.
Great place and people were there to sort anything out that went wrong, our only problem was the amount of flies but we sorted that out ourselves with the help of the fly spray that was there. Other than that very peaceful just what we needed. Big thank you to sam for coming out and sorting the TV's out

We had a lovely weekend at the Mill. There was plenty of space for our family including a newborn. There was house was nice and warm, its very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need is there. We were greeted by a beautiful Victoria sponge, there were tea bags, coffee. milk and a loaf of bread. The lounge is big with plenty of seating, there is a big dining table. We loved the little sunny snug .Bedrooms are big, there are stair gates, the beds are comfortable, nice bathrooms with a bath and a good shower. The wood burner was ready to go with wood and everything needed. There is an enclosed garden , which was useful for our dog as the mill sits right on the family farm. There is plenty to do in the area, some nice pubs, we had a great Sunday lunch at the Plough Inn, we also went to Frome Valley vineyard and tried some lovely English wine.
Fantastic property. Perfect for family stay. Very comfortable beds and lots of living and eating space. Delicious baked cake too! Owners responded immediately to any queries. Great location for walking and exploring the area. Highly recommended
Might be a good idea to investigate for a nearby wasp nest as there were quite a lot around the patio. Otherwise a fabulous place to stay, very friendly owners and the ability to wander around a working farm and interact with the animals as we wished. Really lovely week in Herefordshire
Eleanor
Amazing property situated in the countryside with lots to do near by. The property was attractively furnished, clean and very well equipped for 10 people. There were large pans and cooking dishes, a couple of cafetires, a range of glass wear everything 10 people would need when self catering. The owners were very hospitable ensuring we had everything we needed even a freshly baked cake on arrival which was enjoyed by us all after our long journey! After enjoying the south facing veranda and patio we look forward to visiting again in the winter to enjoy the wood burning stoves. A real gem of a property.
Jennifer
We had a lovely stay at Munderfield Mill. It is spacious and beautifully kitted out. We really appreciated how friendly the owners were, and how they quickly went above and beyond to replace the fridge for us during our stay! The situation was fabulous and peaceful, and our children loved watching the tractors, cows and dogs going by! The balcony was heaven to sit out on and soak up the countryside. We found lots of great things to do in the local area too, so really enjoyed ourselves.
Anne Jillian
We love to see farm animals up close, kids were so thrilled. farm house is clean and full of comfort. best place to have a private and intimate catching up with family and friends.
Georgia
A beautiful property, exactly as displayed on the site and if anything even nicer in person! Hosts were helpful and responsive.
Really lovely stay in this wonderful house. Plenty of space and we all agreed that the beds were comfortable! Plenty of cooking utensils and cutlery ect and a delicious homemade cake was there on arrival . We wouldnt hesitate to stay again as we all agreed that the house and its location for exploring the countryside was superb !
Christopher
Our family of 6 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs had the most amazing time at The Mill. The house is wonderfully quirky, spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners made us feel very welcome leaving bread, eggs, milk and a delicious homemade cake for our arrival thank you. The farmer was extremely accommodating, delivering by tractor a gas barbecue for us to use and showing the children around the farm, allowing them to feed some of the animals. There was plenty of room for everyone and the children were able to play safely in the yard. There is also a lovely enclosed patio and garden. We hope to go back and fully recommend this property especially to large parties of people. Thank you so much for a wonderful few days.
Lindsay
Absolutely fine. Suited our requirements
Hannah
Not long returned back from a weekend stay at Munderfield Court, honestly cant recommend this place enough for anyone wanting to stay in the Herefordshire area and looking for a base for 10 people. The house itself is lovely and spacious, great for a large group, but also plenty of separate cosy areas for anyone wanting their own space. Ive stayed in places in the past stating its for 10 and its perhaps felt like a squeeze, this is not the case at Munderfield, it very much felt like a good space for 10 adults with a good size open plan kitchen, leading out onto a great size dining living room area. There were double doors from here to a lovely outdoor space with seating as well. Plenty of sleeping space with comfortable beds bedding and a good amount of bathrooms too, all very clean and finished to a high standard. Location wise its set quite far back from the road which made it very quiet with just the atmosphere of the farm and farm animals, which we loved to add to the countryside experience. But it was still very well connected to the rest of the Malvern area, within easy reach 20 mins ish, from vineyards, local towns, Ledbury etc. All round a really great stay and wonderful weekend, thank you very much for having us and being such great hosts!
Jacqueline
It is an impressive property that enabled a wide range of ages 3 70 to enjoy an important family celebration. The welcome pack, especially the wonderful cake decorated with Easter eggs being Easter week was a thoughtful gesture & very much appreciated. The owners were friendly & helpful.
Christopher
A delightful, very clean property with welcoming owners, a superb welcome cake and plentiful supply of essentials. Ideally suited for a large multigeneration family special birthday booking with plenty of space, ample crockery and cooking utensils. Highly recommended provided one reads the description and recognises the property is on a working farm where we found it interesting watching the young lambs and calves.
Maureen
Warm and comfortable property, very well equipped.
We spent a magical Christmas at Munderfield Mill. The property is very cosy and homely and we were thrilled to see how beautifully the owners had decorated the Mill for our Christmas stay. Our grandchildren thought they were entering Santas grotto!! The delicious chocolate cake and other goodies on our arrival were very welcome. We used the range cooker to cook family meals every day including a delicious Christmas dinner for 7. The abundance of cooking utensils, lovely crockery, glassware and cutlery was a real bonus in a holiday home. We had a fabulous week and would highly recommend.
Spacious, very clean property and generous freebies provided, particularly popular was the delicious cake. The owners are extremely friendly and obliging.
Thomas
Fantastic property with everything you need. Really warm and cosy! Also really appreciated the friendly welcome and a lovely cake waiting for us.
Angela
A super property with fantastic owners who were really kind and helpful. Lots of lovely surrounding places to visit and beautiful walks too. Mungerfield Mill is extremely cosy and comfy to return to after trips out. We had the most amazing time.
A very comfortable and spacious property. Nice welcome from the owners. The following are minor points but I think worth sorting out the lounge could do with more side lamps, the overhead lighting is harsh for what is otherwise a cosy room the nonfood, recycling bins in the kitchen were a bit confusing and small vestibule lampbulb missing not enough toilet rolls
Frederick
Great property
We had a fabulous time at Munderfield Mill, it was perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed watching the tractors go passed the windows going about their work, the little one loved counting the sheep and cows that we could see from the property, and when we did bump into the family they were very welcoming. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Hilary
Munderfield Mill itself was as shown, spacious and well equipped. There were a few maintenance issues, which we made note of and left with the owners. There was a wonderful Victoria sponge left for us along with plenty of milk. Also the beds were exceedingly comfortable and the bed linen was of good quality. However we were very disappointed in the surroundings of the mill. The only decent view was from the upstairs landing and then only if you looked out in a certain direction. So we spent most of our time on that landing. We were aware that we would be adjacent to a working farm but not that it would be a really rundown farm and that the farmhouse would be a total eyesore. The outside environment did not match the beautiful interior of the mill and unfortunately your photographs hide this fact very well. Because of the surroundings we would not return to Munderfield Mill.
The Mill is a great place for a large family group to stay, and we were looked after really well by the owners. Highly recommended.
