Pillar Barn Reviews

Thank you Susan and Gordon for providing a fantastic holiday accommodation, it's a great credit to you both, could not wish for a better place to stay, so spacious and warm with everything you need, it's the very best place me my wife, and 2 dogs have stayed in if I could give it 10 star's I definitely would, Anybody looking to stay at Pillar Barn will not be disappointed, definitely recommend this accommodation.
Darren
We have just come home yesterday from a gorgeous week away and would of loved to have stopped longer, Sue and Gordon are lovely hosts and people and talk too, Murphy is such a friendly dog as well. If you needed advice on where to go and what to see just ask them. Everything we wanted from our relaxing holiday we got and can't wait to come back again. Thanks Darren, Anita, Bella and Ella, see you again soon.
We spent an enjoyable and very comfortable fortnight in the cottage, which is well appointed, an impressive conversion, and ideally placed to visit coastal towns and nature reserves as well as many inland attractions worth outings to! The friendly owner, Sue, was particularly helpful in sorting out the WiFi problem we encountered at the start of our stay, and provided a generous welcome pack on our arrival.
Outstanding property in its own gated entrance. Quality finishing and well thought through layout. Personal preference would be to have blinds or curtains in the living room and kitchen area to give some privacy. Also a blackout blind in the bedrooms as they are east facing and the early morning sun shines under the curtains. Overall fantastic place to stay would highly recommend it. Hosts lovely and helpful too.
We found the double bed too soft for us. We are used to a bigger and firmer one. Luckily there was only the two of us, so we had a room each. Lighting in the evening is not good enough for reading. A good location as a base for visiting that part of Yorkshire. In fact we ran out of days, couldnt get to everything in the time.
