Really lovely find! Clean, plenty of fresh towels. Hot tub brilliant! Views really peaceful. Parking fab. Kitchen great.

Wow! The Stabl proved to be a truly beautiful and idyllic property, perfect for both us and our canine companion. The views of the rolling fields were magnificent and the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, with the occasional gentle baa adding to the charm and reminding us of the delightful rural setting. Our dog particularly enjoyed the secure enclosed garden, where she could observe the sheep across the way from peeking over the wall. The upstairs kitchen and living area were wonderfully bright and spacious. We were impressed by the thoughtful provision of cleaning essentials, such as dishwasher tablets, washing pods, and washingup liquid. Additionally, there were canisters of tea, coffee, and sugar, as well as cooking oil in the cupboard. A lovely welcome basket containing eggs, milk, and Welsh cakes was also a delightful touch. While the fridgefreezer was a bit compact, it was perfectly adequate for our threenight stay. For our furry friend, there were even biscuits, a bowl, and a blanket placed by the garden door. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and it was a unique experience to retire downstairs for the night. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a charming rolltop bath at one end and a convenient walkin shower at the other. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather during our visit, allowing us to spend much of our time outdoors. The covered area with a table and seating, along with the hot tub, would undoubtedly be a pleasant spot even in less favorable weather. A small suggestion regarding the hot tub if you plan to use it in the evening, it might be more enjoyable to wait until it's darker. We noticed that the rising heat and scent tended to attract flies, which made it difficult to fully relax. However, when we used it around lunchtime, it seemed perfectly fine. We had hoped to stargaze from the hot tub, but the stars were not very visible from that vantage point. Once we exited, however, we found that the stars were beautifully displayed above the canopy and behind us. Overall, our stay at The Stabl was a beautiful and relaxing few days. We understand there are other properties on the same site that can accommodate more guests. We made a lastminute booking and were thoroughly pleased with the accommodation. We are certainly looking forward to returning.

We really enjoyed our stay . The location was great , very peaceful with nice walks directly from the door and plenty of places to visit close by. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay . The hot tub was only partially working on arrival but this was resolved for our last day by one of the maintenance staff who was friendly and helpful. The outdoor furniture looked a little tired but was still comfortable and useable. Overall we would look forward to visiting again

Place was great, in a very quiet area but ideally located for getting out to places like Oswestry, lake vyrnwy, the aqueduct, the rhiwargor waterfall. Cottage was ideal size for the two of us and the dog, great little path nearby like 1 min to walk the dog in the morning.

Our 3rd visit to this stunning accommodation. Just so happens it was our honeymoon . The facilities are amazing especially the hot tub. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. A bit of a drive to local pubs and restaurants but we didn't mind . A good base for exploring north Wales . The owners are knowledgeable and would assist if you need anything. We didn't but it's good to know they are there if you need them . Do not hesitate to book the stabl or any of the other bigger accommodation they have on site you won't regret it

We had a great stay at Stabl. The area is beautiful and peaceful and the owners are more than happy for you to wander round the hundreds of acres that they own around the property. The owner was on hand to answer any queries I had, and the accommodation was clean with modern facilities. The hot tub was the perfect start and end to our day. I would highly recommend

A fabulous property! Had an amazing couple days there over the winter. Very quiet area, other than the sound of the river and the sheep! Honestly cannot recommend this place enough, perfect little get away.

We had a lovely 4 nights in the property, it was a very high standard and had everything you need, loved the hot tub after a few wet and windy walks nearby! We ventured up the mountain on the property, would highly recommend the views were outstanding! Our 5 month old puppy loved his first holiday away, would definitely return!

Stabl is a wonderful place to stay with everything you could need and a really comfortable bed. Lowri is very welcoming and helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful. There are amazing walks from the farm and so much to do and see in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend and we cant wait to return. Anne and Robert.

The property itself was okay clean and tidy everything you needed was available. Hot tub was a bit cool and could do with a few new headrests as they were grim. The only safe road out of the place was being resurfaced so had to find alternative route and so was everyone else it got rather busy on the road where we were. Never use Skye cottages again rang them emailed them about my stay and no one has been in touch.

Beautifully renovated cottage, hot tub is a great addition! Good to have an enclosed safe space for our dog.. Owners were helpful and responsive to a small maintenance issue. Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay ! Beautiful, comfortable and well equipped tastefully restored in wonderful rural , peaceful setting . Ideally situated to be within easy travelling distance to a number of impressive attractions.We loved relaxing in the jacuzzi after a day out then sleeping in the king size bed ready for the next day's adventure. The owners were most helpful and clearly take great pride in their properties.

Enjoyed our stay in this peaceful cottage, beautiful views across the valley. Cottage lovely and clean and although another cottage nearby we were not overlooked and it felt very much our private space. Would recommend

The cottage was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was stunning. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated too. We also loved the hot tub and there is a cover over it so you can still use it in the rain. Our dog was made very welcome and the garden is secure. We were lucky to visit in the spring and enjoyed watching the lambs through the upstairs window. All in all it was a great stay with no issues and we would definitely recommend this as a romantic get away for couples.

What a perfect break away, nothing to fault, extremely well quipped for a self catering stay. Beautiful surroundings and enough walks to tire out our over active Doberman. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax after a long day.

Feb2025. We had a wonderfull stay at Stabl plas moelfre hall barns. A beautiful designed cottage. Clean,warm & constant hot water.fully equipped kitchen,tea,coffe sugar,& a welcome pack of free range eggs,welshcake,biscuits & milk.the views were amazing,The hot tub was relaxing under the stars at night.the garden is enclosed &lit up so you dont have to worry about the dog.

Great accommodation. Would recommend the Stabl for a cute weekend get away. We can for our staymoon before we go St Lucia for our honeymoon. Lovely little welcome gifts when we arrived and even some for our dog Sully. The only thing we couldnt find was a local shop so were having to drive 30 minutes out to a supermarket but feel when we were leaving we thought we saw a little local shop at the back of a cottage on the way, but not 100 sure. We use an app called Komoot for our walks and this didnt pick any local, on the doorstep walks, however we did go to Lake Vryn which was lovely and a good day out and the following day we went back and walked to the waterfalls.

We had a really lovely stay at the Stable, the only things to mention was that downstairs was often a lot colder than upstairs even when the thermostats were both set to 18. The can opener didn't work, and there wasn't much equipment for cooking mixing bowls, scales, etc But all in all we would highly recommend! It was a beautiful area, a great place to stay and would happily stay again, thank you so much for having us!

The Stabl was amazing. Me, my wife and dog stayed here for 2 nights to enjoy Christmas Day in the countryside. The place is better than described. The hosts were very kind, providing milk, eggs and mince pies for our arrival. Improvements have been made to the garden since the pictures were taken, the hot tub is now covered with a pergola and a fence has been installed at the top of the garden to ensure dogs cant escape. Will definitely be booking here again!

Such a lovely cottage, converted to a high standard. One of the best I've stayed at in years. Lots of small touchesade it a perfect weekend getaway.

Wonderful stay in this delightful place. Everything that we needed was included. The hot tub was fantastic and loved the new wooden structure which kept the rain and leaves from spoiling our dips. A very quiet, peaceful and relaxing time. Very informative guide to local attractions and walks which was very useful.

We had a wonderful time. the accommodation was modern and luxurious it provided comfortable and convenient base to explore the countryside and visit the many attractions in the area. the local pub in llansilin was excellent . our dog really enjoyed his holiday and the walks nearby we would highly recommend this place. the best Sykes cottage so far

This is the most delightful little house beautifully furnished with absolutely everything provided that you would need for a delightful holiday. The attention to detail is a credit to Lowri and Gwyn who are the most amazing hosts and there is no doubt your enjoyment is their priority. Some nice little welcome gifts left very much appreciated. The area is truly stunning and the walk up the hill behind the house is truly stunning when you get to the top and just take in the beautiful views. The hot tub at the end of the day is a bonus. I will be back to this little house hopefully next year.

The Stabl was exactly as advertised it was amazing everything you need for a perfect break away the views were amazing peaceful yet not far from shops amd restaurants , it was perfectly clean everything in the kitchen you could want the bed was comfortable I can't praise this place enough oh and the hot tub was great too and also perfectly clean. Beautiful property in a stunning location. If you want peace, quiet and tranquility this is the place for you. We wanted for nothing, everything was thought of from the fresh farm eggs and Welsh cakes in the welcome pack, to the pint of milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar and all the cleaning products you would ever need. They missed nothing, even a welcome pack for the dog! The property is clean and fresh, very comfy bed, sofa not so much. The small enclosed garden is lovely, although the wall is lower in some places than others, take care if you have an escape artist! We had a lovely week just relaxing and recharging those batteries, hot tub helped here too! There are things to see and do in the area just be mindful to relax and take time and care on the narrow roads. Well worth a visit, the surrounding countryside is stunning and quiet. We loved it.

Weve had the most wonderful week at Stabl. The house was beautiful and had stunning views.The owners were so lovely! The facilities were great, they really thought of everything to be included down to washing pods, teacoffee etc! The only downside was that the couch wasnt very comfy but we made it work with all the blankets we had taken for our dog. Daisy loved watching the sheep over the road, especially when they moved them and they all went past the house. We had the most wonderful stay and will definitely be recommending to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Had a fab stay at the Stabl. A beautifully equipped and situated cottage with the perfect balance of facilities in a quiet and relaxing setting. Very clean with a high standard of finish as well as those personal touch that make a holiday break memorable. We would highly recommend a stay, it is certainly on our list to return at some point soon!

Beautiful cottage in a stunning area with gorgeous views. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and they gave us very good advice on perfect dog walks and where to get a lovely roast dinner from. The cottage was extremely clean inside and out. We will definitely be looking to rebook and return to this cottage.

It was such a cosy and relaxing stay. The Stabl was very clean, warm and had everything we needed for our short stay. The hot tub under the stars was amazing too!
