The Malt Kiln Reviews

I celebrated my 60th birthday here with a group of friends. Beautiful house with excellent facilities close to Harrogate and local attractions. Sykes and the owner made every effort to accommodate our stay despite the power cut the previous day. The owner kindly put the log burner on and provided oil filled radiators, but fortunately the power was restored on arrival. Absolutely had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend it.
Amazing stay at The Malt Kiln over New Year. The property excels in every regard and is even more impressive than the photos might suggest. Spacious, comfortable and incredibly well thought out. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the BBQ area as well. A very very strong recommend for any groups looking for a luxurious escape.
Fantastic house would stay again in a heartbeat. Kitchen and facilities fantastic. Lounge great for are large party of 10 . Pool table a brilliant addition to the house . Had a fantastic Christmas holiday. Only downside if am being picky . Hot water was hit and miss .Could possibly be on a timer or needs a bigger tank for 5 showers as no one used the 2 baths . WiFi signal not the best . Hot tub temp could be turned up a little. Will definitely return.
What a fantastic house! Beautifully decorated, very spacious and well equipped. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay as a group of 10 adults. Lots of kitchen space and equipment for meal prep and large dining table made eating here a joy. The lounge was spacious and comfy as were all the bedrooms. Plenty of parking too. Easy access to Harrogate and the surrounding area we went to Harlow Carr and Swinsty Reservoir
Alison
Absolutely stunning property. Perfect for a long overdue family catch up. Very sociable downstairs space with well equipped kitchen, spacious dining area and welcoming lounge with very efficient wood burner. The pool table was a great addition and was well used by all of us. The bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, worked perfectly for couples and there was plenty of space for car parking. 10 out of 10!! Thank you..
Christine
We had a fabulous week at the Maltkiln from arrival to departure. It is very clean and has everything you can possibly need , for all ages we were aged from 2 to 72 . Is is very well located, just a few minutes drive to Harlow Carr, Harrogate and Valley Park. Very highly recommended.
Th property is fantastic with everything anyone could ever need and renovated decorated to a very high standard.
Suzanne
Very well equipped. Lovely property. In a lovely location.
Rebecca
The property is stunning, we had a lovely trip but there were a few niggles that unfortunately didnt make our stay 5 star we had a leaky toilet which prevented us from using our en suite which was really inconvenient, there were stains on some of the towels, the hot tub jets werent programmed properly and we had no bubbles for the first night plus the temperature was only tepid, there were a lot of cobwebs everywhere, we were only given one loo roll per room for a five day stay and the facial tissue boxes were empty. Ellie was very quick to respond to issues when raised but it was more the inconvenience of having to ask.
Lesley
Fabulous property. Furnished to a high standard with good facilities .Great location with much to see and do nearby
Everything is beautifully appointed and well equipped. Just a note that it would be really useful if there were some hooks in the bedrooms and bathrooms for robes towels.
Christopher

A little uncertain when booking, with the property being brand new, but it turned out to be everything that wed hoped it would and more! ! Exquisitely decorated, spotlessly clean, super cosy and honestly struggled to find anything lacking. Special mention to Ellie, who gave us a warm reception on arrival and went beyond expected in helping us enjoy our stay!! Chris, Nadine & Esm
Claire
