Old Hall Barn 3 Reviews

Shelley
The property was beautiful, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. The hottub which was in a separate room was a great place to relax and the lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you for fabulous stay.

We were a party of 5 and a baby. The Accomodation was perfect with a large living room and a table and seating in the kitchen so we could easily sit around and chat play games and eat. The view outside were beautiful and the hot tub was a lovely bonus! The Yew Tree inn was at the top of the lane and we could easily walk into the hills or Church Stretton from the Accomodation. The washing machine broke when we were there essential with a baby the owners removed and replaced it in the space of the same afternoon even though they were in the middle of lambing. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for such a lovely holiday
Belinda
Great stay to have a long overdue catch up with friends. The property was lovely, close to the hiking trail we wanted to do. It was a little chilly at times due to the nature of the barn so I'd advise slippers and a jumper if staying in colder months but overall a fantastic place
Georgina
Beautiful barn, comfy and spacious. Easy walking distance to Church Stretton with all the wonderful walks and views. The hot tub was a great hit with family and it was lovely relaxing and looking over the hills. The lemon drizzle cake left as a welcome was delicious! Highly recommend the Yew Tree a few mins walk from the barn but take a torch if you go in the winter Thank you for a lovely week we will be back to start family Christmas celebrations next year!
We love all the old Barns we have stayed several times. Lovely area. Quiet and safe, great for our little dogs. Lovely pubs great food. Nice walks.
Nadine
We booked Old Hall Barn 3 for a 60th birthday celebration and it was absolutely perfect. The accommodation was clean and welcoming and the location was excellent. We enjoyed the local walks, and Church Stretton itself was a lovely base for us we did day trips to Shrewsbury and Ludlow. The hot tub was brilliant and it was nice that it was under cover. We had an issue with heating in the master bedroom on arrival, but we text the numbers provided and it was promptly sorted for us. We couldnt have asked for any more from the owners. I would recommend taking your own towel for the hot tub just so you have a towel for there and then a separate one for the shower, but this is only advice to people staying here in the future. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!
Lovely place to stay for 5 of us over 3 generations and dog. Hot tub under cover is a great addition after those long walks. Trip into Shrewsbury and Ludlow as not far. Green Dragon was a great place for food. Will love to return to explore the area more on some longer walks.

A spacious and well presented accommodation. Two bedrooms upstairs with toilets downstairs, unsatisfactory. Glad our older friends decided not to stop over. Navigating the upstairs double bedroom by night would have been dangerous. Heating system not working first night and faulty another. But the owners went out of their way to make us welcome and provide a lovely break for my wife and I.

This was the most amazing experience for myself and two daughters, this beautiful cottage had everything from the simplest of details such as paper toilet roll roses, beautiful decor, the warmest hot tub, incredible views, the list is endless such a magical place with a wonderful pub five minutes walk that did the best martini espresso cocktails and fabulous food, we highly recommended this exceptional cottage where the owners have gone over and beyond to make your stay wonderful Thankyou so much love from the Taylor girls x

We loved this property! It was spacious, clean and met all our needs. We felt very looked after. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and the local towns were great. Wed love to come back.

2 night stay really enjoyable. 25 mins walk to Church Stretton well worth it for food and ale. The box of outdoor toys for the kids was a great touch. Hot tub amazing especially as its sheltered, beautiful quiet location look out for baby frogs on the road we saw thousands during the evening.
Comfortable stay in beautiful area. Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a lovely and very relaxing stay. We would definitely consider staying again.
Gareth
Thank you for having us the old barn was amazing inside and out. The beautiful views and dog walks were second to none with some great pubs to try then back to the old barn to relax in the hot tub perfect. One the few places we would like to visit again.
Nicole
We had a great weekend at your barn thank you. The barn is just as described and in a great location with ample parking. The hot was well used and there is plenty of crockery and utensils. It was slightly annoying that I had to mop the bathroom floor every time the shower was used this is not a new problem I discovered on reading the reviews. However, it didnt spoil our weekend would be happy to return!
Beautiful cottage, pictures dont do it justice. Spacious and very clean. Would recommend..
Michelle
Had a lovely weekend stay at this well equipped and clean cottage. Great location only a 5 minute walk to great pub who serve delicious food and a 30ish minute walk into Church Stretton. The hot tub was perfect and being in its own indoor setting we were able to use it despite the cold weather and winds. Our only complaint was the the shower the shower screen didnt fit properly meaning water soaked the bathroom floor each time it was used. The shower head had to be held when used as when it was in its cradle it pointed directly at the shower screen and couldnt be directed away from it. Ive never mopped so much on a weekend away. I would definitely book again if the shower was sorted out.
We love this cottage and this was our fourth stay there. It's so cosy, always spotless and the welcome is very friendly. It's also very well equipped and we will definitely plan a return visit.

It was the first time we have been away at Christmas and it was lovely the barn the area and not forgetting the hot tub. Our two dogs loved it we couldnt fault a thing, it was our second stay at the barns and will definitely return in the future. Thanks from the Rose family.
Rachel
A great place to stay, everything was perfect upon arrival. Felt very at home during our stay. Comfortable beds too. The hot tub was a perfect addition which we made the most of. Will definitely be making another booking very soon.
Absolutely loved our weekend break here. The location was gorgeous and property was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The hottub and the room it was in was a fantastic place to relax and the welcome cake on arrival was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend and book again. Thank you for fantastic stay.
The barn was lovely and plenty big enough for all 6 of us. It was lovely and clean. It was however not very warm. It was the first weekend of the cold autumn season and temperatures had dropped a lot the barn was really quite chilly. Try as we did we could not get the central heating to work on our first evening. Luckily there was an electric fire in the living room that was quite efficient. We spoke to the owners next morning and they couldn't see why it was working and so decided it must be because it was too warm, it was not warm. The heating did not work all weekend. Also be aware that the hot tub is in a room away from the main barn and you have to walk out in the general courtyardparking area to get to it so make sure you take something to cover up in. The hot tub was a great size and had plenty room for 6 adults. Could have been a bit hotter though. The barn is in a great place if you enjoy walking with easy access to the Long Mynd. A 30 minute walk along a road with a footpath brings you into lovely Church Stretton.
A fabulous cottage and hot tub. Very comfortable only down side the wifi a bit hit and miss. Won't usually bother us but I had a bit of work to do. In a great location for walking and getting about. Local pub TheYew Tree does fabulous food. Reasonable priced.
Heather
Beautiful property, absolutely spotless! Very spacious and very well equipped. Lovely location, quiet but close enough to walk into local townamenities. Easy to book, checkin and checkout. Would certainly return and recommend to others.
Lovely setting and enjoyed exploring the area. Property was much bigger than we expected and had everything we could have needed. Really enjoyed our stay thank you
Joanne
We just returned from a lovely stay in Old Barn 3. The barn itself is in a beautiful area with lovely views of the hills around. The barn itself was clean and spacious with everything you could need for a break. We will definitely return again to stay.
Claire
We found Old Hall Barn to be a perfect getaway for our group and dogs. The scenery was beautiful and we had the pleasure of enjoying a well maintained outdoor space and garden along with a hot tub that is enclosed its own area. The cottage itself was a great size and in a good location. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and cant wait to return for another visit.
Rachel
We were impressed by the size of all rooms in the barn, the living spaces and bedrooms were more then ample. Parking was great, hottub and surrounding area was clean and sizeable. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Andrew
Beautiful property, cleanliness 1st class, added bonus the owners are on site daily. The hot tubs are checked every morning, only advice I would give take beach towels, and possibly some drying facilities ie washing line. The village has some wonderful places to eat. Had a wonderful week highly recommended
Debbie
The cottage was lovely. It would have been nice to have towels for the hot tub and robes as you have to walk out into the shared area to get to it. A must is a walk up to the Lightspout, it is beautiful.
This such a cosy and welcoming cottage. It is well equipped and comfortable with everything that is needed for a great stay. It's in a beautiful and quiet but very convenient location. We will definitely be making a return visit.
Joseph
As always, thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to OHB3. Had a problem with the hot tub on the first evening which was resolved very quickly by the hosts as soon as we called to report the issue, so thanks for the excellent service. See you again next year no doubt!

Patricia
The house is so comfortable, has everything you need. The master bedroom is lovely, would be even better if it was en suite. It's a shame floor in the hallway has been ruined with the wet of outside or hot tub could do with a long runner. Stairs a bit creaky when getting up in the middle of the night for the toilet. But loved the house, the area and definitely the hot tub.
We loved our stay at Old Barn 3, the place was clean, tidy and very comfortable. We would stay again with friends. The local area is lovely too. We were disappointed that although advertised as downstairs being dog friendly, our well behaved dog was actually only allowed in the living room and hall way, which made it feel more of a dog tolerant property, not dog friendly.
Charlotte
What a delightful stay we experienced at 3 old hall barn, our family came to celebrate a birthday. The lounge is spacious with ample of seating the beds are comfortable. We loved the hot tub being enclosed in the separate barn. The only thing we didnt enjoy was waiting for the shower each morning and after we used the hot tub, could have done with an extra shower. Thank you for the lovely cake it didnt last long.
This is such a lovely cottage so warm, cosy and welcoming and really well equipped. We like it so much that we are coming back in May. There are so many things to do in the area too.
Carolann
Absolutely spot on had everything we needed would love to go back again.
