Is The Dutch Barn Right For Your Group

Discover why this cottage is the one for your party or family reunion...

For Families
The reverse-level layout and rural setting make this barn better suited to older children who can safely navigate stairs and appreciate countryside peace. The surrounding farmland offers space for outdoor exploration and the hot tub provides entertainment. Younger families might find the open-plan design and vaulted spaces less practical than ground-floor cottages with enclosed gardens.
Groups Will Love...

Original timber frame construction with exposed structural beams and posts creates dramatic height throughout the upper living spaces. This reverse-level design positions your main living areas upstairs where you can fully appreciate the barn's distinctive architecture. The framework that once supported hay storage now forms a stunning feature above your holiday dining table.

The Dutch Barn Reviews

A great place to stay felt very welcome will certainly visit again
The Dutch Barn is a terrific accommodation. It was stylish, clean, comfortable and well equipped. You could tell that the owners had thought carefully about how to make the property work for guests. Everyone from the farm was cheerful and would give us a wave as they passed, and Jackie was good at communicating with us. The Barn is in an excellent location to visit houses, gardens and towns nearby, while the view from windows was peaceful and the hot tub added more enjoyment.
Sue and I were looking for a location and accommodation which created total rest and relaxation, and The Dutch Barn provided it. It is so peaceful and watching the sunrise and sunset each day from the clever upstairs living accommodation was a delight. Jackie and her team made us feel very welcome including the local produce hamper which was really appreciated. All of the facilities are well judged for short stays and the beds can only result in sound sleep. Located in the countryside but so central to reach all of the sights of Herefordshire with ease. We would thoroughly recommend this modern character property as a base for a most enjoyable holiday in this lovely county. Nick
Fabulous accommodation in a beautiful tranquil setting. The family were very welcoming and friendly. Couldnt have wished for a better place to celebrate my wifes 60th birthday . Cant wait to visit again
Richard
High quality property, beautifully presented and very well equipped in an idyllic location. Comfortable, spacious and immaculate inside and lovely surroundings. Nice welcome pack too. Overall, a great holiday home.

We couldn't have asked for more. We needed a few days of peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings and that's exactly what we got. A beautifully presented and immaculate cottage with everything we could have needed and more. It was spotless, so comfortable, light, airy, and being able to open the large bifold doors on the first floor living space just invited the outside in and was absolutely heavenly. A huge thanks to our host, Jackie, for thinking of absolutely everything we might have needed and for being so welcoming and the goodie basket on arrival was above and beyond but such a treat. We most certainly want to return and it will definitely be for a longer trip next time we really didn't want to leave! We would highly recommend The Dutch Barn to everyone.
William
Fantastic barn in beautiful rural location. The barn is very well equipped with everything in very good condition. Comfortable beds and luxurious towels etc. The hosts really care about great hospitality. Highly recommend.
Absolute gem of a find. We went purely to relax and enjoy the property and surroundings and it didn't disappoint. The Dutch Barn was beautiful inside and out. The welcome basket was lovely and it was nice to know the owner was available if needed. The hot tub was divine and the robes were very handy. We didn't want for anything as the attention to detail throughout was perfect. It was comfortable and so quiet. We loved it and unusually for us, we plan to return asap. Thank you very much.
What a super property everything you could wish for was there. The welcome pack was superb. We went at christmas and the barn was beautifully festively decorated the hot tub was a welcome relaxing place.

The Dutch Barn was really lovely. It was in a quiet location with fabulous countryside views from every aspect. The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, very comfortable and was equipped with absolutely everything we needed and more. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
The Barn offers fantastic accommodation which is very light and airy. The location is extremely quiet and The Barn was spotlessly clean as well as being very well equipped. It is well located for general shopping in Leominster as well as being halfway between Hereford and Ludlow which offer a variety of high quality dining experiences. It is without doubt an amazing area for top quality gardens open to the public which was the main reason for our visit. Ludlow Castle, Weston's Cider Tours and Mortimer Forest for walks were additional attractions for us. We very much hope to return soon as there are many more gardens still to visit especially towards Wales.
My second 7 day visit in 3 months, which should show just how impressive this place is. A few very pleasant and tranquil summery evenings, enjoyed with nothing but birdsong accompanyment, to go with the view of unspoilt classic British rolling countryside. As relaxing as you could ever ask for. You have Leominster 10 minutes down the road, so access to 3 supermarkets, and a full range of facilities on the high street, typical of a small British countryside type of town. So quick and easy to get to.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Dutch barn. It is beautifully decorated, well thoughtout and equipped with everything you could need. The hot tub is a great addition and enabled us to keep the boys busy on rainy days. The hot tub robes were also a nice touch. The accommodation is very comfortable with quality furnishings. The barn is on a working farm but we were not disturbed once. The owners live close by but respect your privacy but were equally very responsive and helpful if needed. We really enjoyed exploring the local area. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to castles and historic buildings. We particularly enjoyed Hereford Cathedral, the chain library and the Mappa Mundi are a must see. The cafe was also really good. Homemade quiches and fresh salads. We thoroughly enjoyed Ludlow castle a well preserved ruin which seems a bit of contradiction . We also paid a visit to Croft Castle which is more of a stately home and theres not as much to do there on a wet day but we did enjoy the tour of the house. Not as great in terms of value for money as Ludlow or Hereford cathedral. For something different and despite not being cider drinkers we did the Westons Cider factory tour which was fab. Surprisingly Family friendly too. Nice cafe there. Finally we went to Monkland Dairy. We didnt do the tour but the lady in the shop was lovely, let us sample their 6 cheeses and the cheese makers both came out and had a chat to our boys. They watched the machinery through a little viewing window . The cheeses are delicious! Great holiday, lovely setting and plenty of things to do.
Couldn't be happier, and can't wait to visit again preferably the sooner the better. A stunning residence in a stunning location in the best of British countryside. Absolutely loved it.

Beautiful property, spotless, clean and very well equipped. The hot tub gave it that extra special touch. The owners have thought of everything and truly made it a home from home. Brilliant hosting from the owners, very friendly and hospitable. An all round lovely stay.
We have rented a lot of holiday properties over the years and the Dutch Barn is definitely one of the best. It's better than the pictues, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, has fabulous views, and great hosts thank you Jackie and Peter. It's not often we find a place we want to return to but in the case of the Dutch Barn we definitely will in the future.
We enjoyed a wonderful week in the Dutch Barn which offered a first rate destination. The conversation is amazing which combined with the comfort, cleanliness & facilities gives an opportunity to enjoy a carefree holiday of the highest standard. We loved every minute of our stay enjoying the views of the Herefordshire countryside & life on a working farm the hot tub giving time to soak away the stresses & the delightful September weather for our trips to the wealth of National Trust properties in the area, local cities, towns & villages. A holiday full of memories thanks to Jackie & Pete for sharing such a great home.
The Dutch Barn was perfect for our staycation. The photos dont prepare you for the fantastic feeling you get when you walk in. A perfect home from home with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. We spent most evenings on the spacious balcony enjoying the peace and quiet. There are some great walks from the door, so you dont need to get in the car. Members of the local golf club were friendly and welcoming. The local pub was a short walk away and has a lovely beer garden. Jackie and Peter couldnt have done more to make our stay a perfect one. Thanks for the lovely welcome hamper and the beans! We enjoyed seeing them harvested and sharing the story and the beans when we returned home.
We enjoyed a lovely week at The Dutch Barn with friends. The accommodation was spotless with attention to detail and a fantastic welcome hamper. We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed relaxing after a day's activities either in the hot tub, at the outdoor area or on the spacious balcony. The large doors open to create a great space with lots of light and fresh air. The hosts are lovely and we would recommend a trip here to relax and soak up the peace and quiet.

Without doubt a wonderful place to stay. The owners should be very proud of what they have created at The Dutch Barn.
