Pol Glas Hall Reviews

This is the 2nd time staying in this property and looking to book again. Loved it. Fantastic property with all modcons, beautiful view and amazing hot tub. Took our young dog this time so we all loved the local beaches and walks just missing a mop to do the floors.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, location and facilities. Best we have stayed at. The owner has thought of everything including a treat when you arrive.
Benjamin
Wow, what a beautiful property! The back garden is a brilliant size perfect for the dogs to wander and explore in the evenings. The hot tub was another lovely touch and made for some really relaxing nights. We discovered plenty of stunning beaches and coves during our stay Poldhu Cove was a particular highlight, truly a hidden gem! A few small things to note for future guests The cottage overlooks another property, so we kept the living room curtains closed while neighbours were around for a bit more privacy. There wasnt any cleaning equipment provided for the kitchen, so its worth bringing your own. No dishwasher tablets were supplied, so pack some of those too. There was no firewood for the log burner either bring your own or hope the logs we left behind are still there. Only one toilet roll per bathroom was provided, so bring a few extra. Finally, dont walk along the gravel path that surrounds the fields as you drive in its private property, and one of the neighbours will make sure to let you know not very politely!. Despite these minor issues, now that we know what to expect, wed definitely consider staying at Pol Glas Hall again.

Pol Glas Hall Is beautiful and a perfect holiday if you are looking for relaxation and down time. The views are stunning and the house is fully equipped for everything that you need we were disappointed that there wasn't a cafeteria as coffee pods are not particularly environmentally friendly, especially as there is nowhere to recycle them in the vicinity. The beds were comfy and the underfloor heating is a real bonus for keeping the house warm. The hot tub was a real treat and our boys loved watching the stars appear one by one from it. The garden is a good size and the dog enjoyed all the smells from the sea. We are big walkers and walked to Poldu Cove. However, the road with children is a little tricky so perhaps some guidance on local walks not using the road would be handy. Our only personal worry, which would prevent us from returning for a few years, is the stone stairs case which is tricky with young children. It is beautiful and a real feature of the house but not safe with little feet with socks on as is was a bit slippy. Thank you for a fantastic week, we will definitely recommend and hopefully return in the future.

Lovely property to stay in with everything you need for a perfect stay. The property was immaculate, nice quiet area with lovely views and a spacious garden for our dog. Great location for exploring the South West of Cornwall. Highly recommend this property.

Its not very often the photos are exactly as they appear, but this place was. Absolutely out this world. Plenty of space, very comfortable with a very comfortable bed. There was nothing missing from this property and the most spectacular views. We and our 2 golden retrievers loved it that much we have booked for next year. already. If Christmas wasn't booked up we would be there again this year!!Was funnily tempted not give such a good review so we could selfishly keep it open for ourselves. There really is nothing that would improve this place

Weve just spent a week at Pol Glas Hall and it was everything we could have wished for and more. The house is stunning and full of character, beautifully kept and fitted out with quality appliances, fluffy white towels, comfy beds and a thoughtful welcome pack. The setting is unforgettable. Peaceful garden, breathtaking views from the windows and mornings on the balcony with a coffee made it feel so special. Evenings in the hot tub under the stars were the perfect way to end each day. The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall. We walked miles of coastal paths discovering stunning coves and scenery around every corner. Highly recommend this beautiful property and Cornwall.
This is a really lovely property with many benefits, as you will see from the description and photos but, just to add, the garden is very dog friendly and secure, and the beds were the most comfortable we've slept in on holiday. However, there seems to be an ongoing issue with the Wifi. We had no Wifi for the entire duration of our stay. Normally this would not have been too much of an issue but, for this particular holiday we needed Wifi access and we would not have booked this property if we had been aware that there were problems. We only saw a review of the property dated Sept2024 where the guests also had no Wifi for the week, once we were on holiday. We, of course, had allowed for possible Wifi connectivity issues due to location but, in this instance the router was not working and needed to be replaced. We reported the problem within minutes of arriving at the property, an engineer visited 5 days later, and a new router arrived 7 days later. We felt that there was significant delay in our communications with the property management customer service team albeit very polite as they kept telling us they had to speak to the owners before they could advise on anything for some reason with this property we were not able to deal with the owners directly. Somewhat unhelpfully at the end of our holiday we were asked if we could fit the new router ourselves when it arrived. Quite frankly we were a bit put out by this suggestion, as the router needed to be fitted in a very awkward space in the boiler cupboard above a door, which you needed a ladder to reach, and we only had 20 hours left at the property having gone without Wifi for the whole week. Four days after our holiday has finished and we are still awaiting a response from customer services. Our data costs for the week for a family of four were significant, we could have had a very nice meal out for what we had to spend on buying extra data. In addition to these costs, this holiday also involved several phone calls and numerous messages to and from customer services we were in contact daily to try to sort this problem which, did somewhat spoil what would have been the most fantastic break.
Our best getaway so far, such a peaceful location to relax from the fast paced lifestyle in London. The six hour drive was definitely worth it. Perfectly detailed directions of how to reach and access the property, as well any instructions needed for the property. Whats a better time to be in a hot tub than Christmas.
We had a fabulous week at this cottage! The property was beautifully maintained, with a wellthoughtout layout and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was idealpeaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions. The hot tub was a particular highlight, providing the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cosy and enjoyable getaway. We'll be back.

Beautiful house, a home away from home. Would definitely return for another stay. Highlights of the property, hot tub gorgeous on a cool evening. The open back garden space, great for the kids & dogs. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen.
The property was lovely very clean and well maintained and had top of the range white goods. It was comfortable and well laid out. I do however have a couple of criticisms. Firstly I had requested that the two single beds were made up into a double, as there was going to be two couples staying. This had not been done and there was no way of contacting the owners to get this changed. I dont know if this was a breakdown in communication between Sykes Cottages and the owner, or what but it was frustrating. Secondly, the literature states that fuel for the wood burner would be provided it wasnt. Thirdly, the literature in the cottage says we should use our own towels to use the hot tub but online it states that all towels are included. We did not take any of our own towels. Finally, the literature in the cottage states that the hot tub is cleaned out after every booking it clearly wasnt because there was sand in the bottom of the tub. These are only minor issues but if the owners state that things are done and provided, it would be nice if that was the case.
Beautiful holiday home from home. Top spec fittings, amazing views and just so quiet. Absolutely loved our time here and will return, for sure.
A lovely stay at Pol Glass Hall. Excellent location. Hot tub was delightful after long days. The only down side was the heating was constantly on and all thermostats locked so it was very hot. We did get lucky with the weather though 25 degrees one day so I dare say it's nice and cosy in the colder months with the heating always on. Would definitely stay there again
Melvyn
What would have been the perfect holiday was spoiled by having no internet connection. The problem was reported the day after we arrived but was never resolved. We had no mobile signal either so unable to communicate with anyone. I have cameras installed in my 91 year old Mothers bungalow but was unable to check on her between carers visits. Really disappointed. It could have been such a lovely holiday. Unable to plan days out and book tickets online, it just goes to show how much we rely on the internet.
Our second stay at Pol Glass Hall and already booked for 2025. Beautiful cottage, absolutely spotless and has everything you could possibly need. In short a wonderful place to stay.
We had the most beautiful and peaceful week stay thank you so much. The standard of the property was amazing. We really didnt want to leave. Stayed all over Cornwall, Lizard was a place we had want to visit for a while. Perfect location for us and the dogs. Would love to return and visit a few places we didnt get chance. Wanted to write in the visitors book but couldnt find a pen xxx Thanks again Jenni, Chris and Jacob Dogs

This really is a beautiful property with a lovely open view at the back. It was imaculate when we arrived and given the cold weather was lovely and warm. There were lovely welcoming touches with Scones, fizz and bathing products but really helpful ones too for the dishwasher & washing up. There were instructions for almost everything that helped. Being 'old school' a radio would be nice, but maybe its not good reception. From a practical point if you bring a dog it needs not to be a 'jumper' given the fence height, but ours got on very well the playful one in the next property. If we were to go again I would probably want the 2 beds joined and use that as the main room as I thought it had a nicer view and easier access to the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this tranquil spot.
Richard
Fantastic property faultless.
Absolutely beautiful cottage furnished to a really high standard. Comfortable beds. Beautiful views. Couldnt fault it at all. Hope to return again.
Sharon
Absolutely beautiful property. Weve booked again for next year. What more can I say?
Pol Glass Hall is an absolutely top notch barn conversion. It is literally home from home. It has everything you need and some. Extremely clean and immaculately maintained, stunning views. I cannot recommend more highly. So much so we have booked to return next year. 5 Stars
Kimberley
Beautiful peaceful location, stunning property, owners have thought of everything. Poldhu cove, Lizard point, Kynance cove, St ives, Pendennis castle, Mullion harbour all within short drives and easy to get to via pretty country roads. We were very lucky and had beautiful weather for the entire week too. Only slight bit of feedback would be to question why there are temperature panels on the wall with the facility to change the temperature, however these had been locked so we could not turn the temperature down at all, meaning the house was roasting... nothing a few windows being opened couldn't fix but would have been nice to cool the rooms down
Malcolm
First class accommodation of this upside down home situated very near to the coast. Everything you should need with the extra comfort of the hot tub which was welcomed after a day's walking. We would thoroughly recommend this holiday home and would definitely stay again.
Sylvia
We absolutely loved our stay at Pol Glas Hall. The accommodation was very well equipped with everything we needed, the views were lovely with a secure garden for our dog. There is so much to do in the area and we enjoyed many coastal walks with the most amazing views. It was great to come back and relax in the hot tub and enjoy our evenings in front of the log burner. Would highly recommend.
