Mosscarr Barn, Pateley Bridge

We had a wonderful time at this lovely place great location nice and quiet however the only slight disappointment was we were unable to allow our medium size dog off his leash at all as the gaps in the gate and fence was to big and our dog could easily escape. We have stayed at many other Sykes Cottages, which have had good secure fencing that doesnt allow our dog to escape, so we can let him have a little run around. We were unable to do this at this location. Many thanks Simon

Moss Carr Barn was an exceptional holiday cottage and absolutely one of the bestequipped places I have rented in the last 30 years. It had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, and was thoughtfully laid out throughout. The setting was peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it the perfect place to relax. The owners were friendly and clearly understand exactly what is required to create a truly great holiday home. I would highly recommend Moss Carr Barn to anyone looking for a comfortable, wellequipped, and relaxing countryside stay.

Superb accomodation, everything you need, and more, is provided. Easy driving to places of interest, walks straight from the door and dog friendly downstairs. Owners very accommodating, it was 30 degrees, we were so grateful to be given early access on the day to a huge fridge freezer. Kitchen layout led to lots of chatter while cooking. I would highly recommend this property.

Property was lovely, spotlessly clean and comfortable with an ample supplies on arrival. The property setting was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, Waking up with livestock feeding outside our bedroom window along with other wildlife was Lovely and an added bonus was the enclosed courtyard where the children could play safely and the family could sit and soak up the atmosphere both during the day and nightfall. The Super walks outside the front gates of the property were an added bonus. Pateley Bridge was within easy walking distance with its lovely park and abundant shops pubs and Restaurants

Mosscarr Barn was a beautiful holiday home. It has the wow factor for sure! The barn was tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard with everything you would need for a perfect stay. Helpful that the itinerary was sent before we left so we knew what was there and what we needed to take with us. The welcome pack was so thoughtful, with lovely products. Coffee pods were left for the coffee machine which was lovely too. Also a doggy welcome pack which our four legged friend appreciated too. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed lovely walks in the fields with the dog. As it was on a working farm, we were visited most mornings by the cows in the fields outside the property, which we loved. The barn is very close to the charming town of Pateley Bridge with lovely independent shops loved the sweet shop, pubs and cafes. We had a few meals in the Royal Oak good pub grub at reasonable prices! Enjoyed a lovely meal at Olleys Pizzeria and plenty of drinks in several cafes. Watched a play at The Pateley Playhouse one evening which was thoroughly enjoyable. Easy access to all the places you would want to visit Ripon, Grassington, York, Harrogate thoroughly recommend Bettys tearooms and Fountains Abbey. Plenty more to fo in the area. Will have to come back again! There was a well stocked small Coop in Pateley Bridge. Also an Asda in Harrogate and Tesco in Ripon. We had an amazing week and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay in Mosscarr Barn again if visiting the area. We fell in love with it and Pateley Bridge.

Everything about this property is excellent. Great location, very well appointed and close to the charming villagetown of Pateley Bridge.

This was a great place for our family get together. It worked well for all of us including a toddler and a dog. It had everything we needed including garden furniture as we had great weather. We loved the beautiful walks from the barn and seeing the curlews, swallows, bats and rabbits around the barn.

Amazing stay at Mosscar Barn. The house was beautiful and well equipped! Location was ideal only a short walk in to town and also a lovely rural location. Navigating the cows along the drive way was an added treat. The rooms, beds, bathrooms were glorious. Kitchen was immaculate really impressed with the utensils available and the quality of equipment. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone beautiful!

Absolutely perfect. Best Sykes property I have stayed in. Beautifully renovated barn and no detail missed. It was comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped. Surrounding area was beautiful with the most delightful cows. Couldnt ask for more.

We absolutely loved our time at Moscarr Barn we were celebrating my mums 80th birthday and had the best time. The barn is so lovely and clean and welcoming. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful. No stone has been left unturned with the fixtures and fittings . There is everything you could ever need . The whole place is tastefully decorated and perfect . The small touches with the welcome basket and chocolate on the pillows was gratefully received . We made use of the log burner each night which made the downstairs so warm and cosy . Would highly recommend this beautiful barn conversion and will seriously consider staying again should we venture to the Yorkshire Dales

Lovely stay at Mosscarr Barn. Mary very helpful via email prior to arrival. Barn extremely clean, very well equipped and a great location for exploring the beautiful area. Walks from the doorstep. Lovely welcome tray with biscuits, fudge, tea, coffee. Would definitely return.

Beautiful barn conversion. Everything supplied that was needed We really enjoyed our stay positive feedback from all the couples. One thing may I suggest a fan for the downstairs bedroom as couldn't open window and it was very warm

Myself and my friends have stayed here several times now and love coming back here. Mary the owner is very attentive and always responds quickly to any queries or issues we have. The accommodation is beautifully maintained and presented, especially the very well equipped kitchen. We have already booked to come back later in the year.

Beautiful property, had everything you could ever need, very clean and comfortable. Lovely and peaceful, but within a short distance of a great pub, The Sportsman, and Pateley Bridge. We'd love to go back again.

We had a lovely stay at Mosscarr Barn for an 80th birthday celebration. Every detail for our convenience and comfort had been carefully considered. The welcome basket was indeed most welcome, as were other little touches like chocolates on each bed, the doggie kit and well put together visitors information. Mosscarr Barn was a wonderful place to stay, beautifully presented with lovely touches for your comfort. The setting was perfect for us, the cows were friendly a short drive into the village, we recommend the Pancake House. Also, it isnt far from Harrogate, Malham Cove and Fountains Abbey to name a few.

This stay was amazing. Of all the stays we've had over the years this one stands out as the best.Ok the drive up is at first a bit daunting but do as the owner says and alls well and the guide for the access reflects the attention to detail we found in the property. It is simply wonderful to find such a well kept property, totally clean and with amazing facilities.We all loved it and it was so peaceful as well with fantastic views.Thank you.

Mosscarr Barn is one of the best facilities we have stayed in, very well looked after, spacious and equipped with eveything needed and more. The owners have clearly tried to cater for anything that potential users might require. We couldn't fault what was provided and the facility is also thoroughly clean. The postbooking information and communication provided is perfect too. Being accessed well offroad the accommodation is quiet but is also very conveniently placed for local amenities. The access road is a little bumpy but is not difficult to negotiate. We would recommend Mosscarr Barn to anyone, but especially large familiies. In addition to everything else, there is very thoughtful provision for children which those who were with us really appreciated! Thanks Mary.

We have had a wonderful stay at Mosscarr Barn. Every need was thought of. There was ample equipment in the kitchen, and plenty of storage for our food. The ice maker in the fridge and the boiling water tap are fabulous! We loved the locals living in the field next door a friendly bunch of heffers who enjoyed a cheeky carrot. There was plenty to do in the area... Fountains Abbey being an absolute must. We ate in most nights, the barn was a comfortable place to spend time in the evenings. One night, we went for dinner in Ollie's pizza in Pately Bridge, which was fabulous. We had looked for a pub to have supper, but didn't find one that was serving in the evening, but the Italian was delicious. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean and modern... just a great place to stay. Loved it. Thank you very much.

We had a fabulous short stay at Mosscarr Barn. The pre arrival communication was excellent. The owner has obviously put a great deal of thought into furnishing & equipping the property. The housekeeping team clearly do an excellent job in keeping the place clean and there were several welcoming touches, right down to fresh flowers on the kitchen window sill. Set in stunning scenery, there are walks a plenty and it was a delight to come back to the barn each evening. If you need some time away from the stresses of life Id recommend a stay at Mosscarr Barn.

This is our third stay at Mosscarr Barn, and we're already excitedly planning to come back next year! The listing truly feels perfect, offering everything you'd hope for in a cosy retreat surrounded by breathtaking scenery. From watching the sunrise over the hills and strolling through the beautiful Dales, to relaxing with a glass of wine in the yard as the lovely cows come to say hello. The property looks fantasticjust as beautiful as when we first visitedand the dedicated team takes such great care of Mosscarr Barn. They pay attention to every detail, from chocolates on pillows and mini toiletries to help you settle in, to washing and dishwasher tablets everything is thoughtfully provided to make your stay truly special.

A three generation holiday, youngest 16 and oldest 74, we had a wonderful weeks stay at this amazingly well fitted out barn, even the weather was good! The barn is situated in a very quiet location. This property provided us all with everything we needed, very well planned out with quality fitments, thank you Mary. We did not need to bother our host, all was perfect. Local walking was excellent too. Pateley Bridge nearby for food shopping. Although part of a working farm nothing got in our way. A small pedigree herd of cows were no trouble at all, they were so affectionate and enjoyed all the rubs and cuddles available to them. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a very comfortable stay within wonderful scenery. We have no complaints at all.

Fantastic cottage and location, everything we needed to enjoy our holiday.

What an amazing place to. Stay and so magical. The barn has everything, comfort, quiet, waking up to saying hello to the sheep.and cows, it gives you the relaxation and time out needed in life. The kitchen is well equipped and the courtyard is great to sit out in. We had such great walks into Pateley Bridge and the surrounding area, no need to take the car out every day. Thank you for sharing this perfect place with us we had such a fabulous time.

A fantastic barn conversion, in the middle of a beautiful part of Yorkshire, it is fitted to the highest standard, it had everything we could need, the kitchen was amazing, a boiling water tap, coffee machine, it was outstanding, we all had a wonderful break. We loved the neighbours, a heard of young heffers, they came to visit us at least twice a day.

Perfect accommodation for us. Very clean throughout. Comfortable beds and lounge area, fully equipped modern kitchen and superb ensuite shower rooms. Spacious inside and out with ample car parking space and outdoor seating too. A very peaceful and picturesque location.

Beautiful property in a lovely peaceful setting. Clean, tidy, fully equipped with some quirky features. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved that the locals of the bovine variety regularly came to say hello! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful retreat for a group of friends andor family. We will definitely be back!
