Willow Cottage Reviews

Steven
If you want a good night's rest then this is the property for you because it's so quiet at night. The large hot tub is also excellent, although the lid is quite heavy and a two person lift. The owners have a large open barn which they let you use to store your car and during the summer is full of Swallows etc. The whole area is a naturalists dream with plenty of wildlife including Red deer. The property is on a bus route however a car is recommended.
Excellent would definitely go again
Overall very satisfactory. Good secure parking off road. Very quiet setting.

A most enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very welcoming hosts. Secure undercover parking. Nice to cosy up with the log burner. Hope to visit again. Many thanks.
Great stay, great accommodation, great hosts, great hot tub. Will definitely return, at some point in the future!
Had a lovely stay with lovely hosts. The hot tub and garden were very relaxing.
Had the best week and will absolutely be staying again
4th time at this lovely cottage, great hosts and a superbly well equipped abode in a lovely quiet village. Handy for visiting Bridlington, Beverley, Hornsea, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.
Sandra
A lovely cosy cottage. Very comfortable and has everything you need. So quiet and relaxing. The bed is very comfy and the hot tub is a bonus. Thank you for a well earned rest.
Lonnie
Very cosy, comfortable little cottage in quiet rural village. Clean and well equipped with very private outdoor seating patio area and great covered hot tub. Access to owners huge garden with large fish pond, perfect for watching ducks and local wildlife. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and best of all fresh eggs from their own chickens. Karen and Sean were great hosts, extremely friendly, informative and helpful but not intrusive. Fantastic place for a couple to relax and unwind. No shop or pub in village but only short drive to facilities in area and good base for exploring this part of Yorkshire coast with long stretches of beautiful beaches, pretty villages and Bridlington and Hornsea only 15 minutes away.
We stayed in this amazing cottage with a hot tub, the cottage was so comfortable and clean with everything we could need lovely host Karen and Shawn were so friendly. loved the kingsized bed very comfy. just minutes away from the main road which is were we started our adventures, we went to the animal park which is a must visit with the bird display we went to Beverley town Saturday market also a must visit, Strawberry fields car boot, Bridlington beach , as well as many more too many to mention all I can say is we had a lovely week at this cottage which was in easy reach of everything, we loved it so much we were sad to home because it was so peaceful next time we will book it will be for two weeks thanks to our lovely host again see you both again Janet and Dave from Bolton

We had a wonderful week at Willow Cottage, it was everything we expected and more! It was immaculately clean, had every facility you need for a week away, and the hot tub!! The hot tub was amazing, so luxurious! The hosts were great, available but not conspicuous with their presence live on site. We didn't need anything extra, but I got the impression that it wouldn't have been an issue if we did. An excellent base for exploring Humberside and the beaches.
Duncan
Excellent well presented property in tranquil surroundings. Hosts were friendly, helpful and attentive, but not in our faces.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable, exceptionally clean and everything that we needed was there. Hosts Karen and Shaun were so helpful and friendly. The hot tub was great as was the log fire! Lots of interesting places to visit nearby Burton Agnes, Hornsea, Fraisthorpe, Burton Constable and Beverley and others!
Gillian
Lovely little cottage Owners were fantastic very friendly Hot tub was perfect for chill out at end of day
The cottage and the hot tub were lovely, however, the mattress on the bedroom is so damaged, that we could feel all the springs poking through, to the point of being painful. We decided to leave the night before due to that. One other detail to take into consideration, if you only going for a weekend, bring your own bath rope these are only provided for week long stays or bring large towels, as the ones provided are just a tiny bit larger than hand towels, so you cant really wrap yourself to go in and out of the hot tub. I would definitely recommend the cottage and go back, if the mattress gets replaced as everything else was ok.
The cottage was well prepared and very clean we were met by Karen and Shaun who explained everything and demonstrated the hot tub. The cottage has everything needed in order to cook most meals, has a washing machine and dish washer. The property is attached to the owners house and is situated behind large wooden gates which provide excellent security. Car parking is in an open garage alongside the owners vehicle. A most enjoyable stay made so much better by the Karen and Shauns friendliness.

We stayed here August 2024 for our 1st wedding anniversary, we had an amazing week and felt relaxed. The property had everything we needed. The owners of the property are lovely and supplied the most amazing eggs from their chickens in the bottom of their garden. The hotub was an amazing addition to the property and was always warm. The property is situated close to most towns such as Hornsea and Bridlington and there is a lovely ice cream parlour not far from the property. Would defo recommend
Pamela

What a little gem of a place one of the best we have stayed in from the moment we arrived we felt totally relaxed, the hot tub was excellent and we will definitely be back. Karen and Shaun thank you for your warm welcome you have a very special place.
Host where fantastic nothing was to much trouble place was great everything ... Host where fantastic nothing was to much trouble place was great everything there what was needed will definitely be back at some point in the future hot tub was a welcome bonus relaxing stay
Willow Cottage is lovely and well appointed, however as a 6ft tall individual I kept banging my head on the top of the door frame. Also the radiators were not hot enough on their own and needed the wood burner lighting to provide additional heat. As we were out and about every day we didnt want the hassle of cleaning it out and building it again each night so we didnt use it. The hot tub was very nice as were the owners.
Sherry
This was a wonderful place to stay. The cottage was a great size, with lots of room in each area. The kitchen was well stocked and the fresh eggs provided by the hosts were a lovely treat. We took advantage of having a hot tub at our disposal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We couldn't have asked for anything more! Karen and Shaun were warm and welcoming hosts. We highly recommend this place for a stay.

Lovely beautiful cozy cottage! Friendly and welcoming owners , loved our stay and will defiantly return
What a lovely little cottage and a great couple who couldn't do enough to help. The hot tub was fantastic and cleaned every morning. The cottage it self was in a lovely quiet court yard with under cover parking. Around 10 minutes drive to Bridlington will definitely be returning
Amazing holiday. Hot tub and log fire definatly huge plus points. Owners are fantastic. Beautiful grounds including large pond and chickens. Very relaxing which we was looking for
We couldnt have been happier with this find of such a beautiful holiday cottage. Clean, quaint and very homely. The facilities are brilliant throughout. The owners are fantastic, very accommodating and polite. The hot tub was the reason we booked the cottage and its perfect, you can tell the owners take pride in keeping it clean as well as the cleanliness of the property. We were and still are so impressed with the cottage. Impressed that much that we have already booked again for next year, straight after our wedding as a pre honeymoon getaway. I seriously couldnt recommend this more to anyone!
We have stayed here twice now and we will be back again next year.

Lovely little cottage, so peaceful and quiet. Had everything you could need. The hottub was perfect to relax, listening to the birds in such peaceful settings. The owners were very helpful if needed. Coastal settings 10 mins away in both directions.
Willow Cottage is just perfect fully equipped with all you could need as well as the wonderful hot tub. The hosts are the nicest couple, always helpful but giving you privacy. This is the second year in a row that we have been to the cottage, and we have already booked again for next year.
