The Piggery Reviews

4 Adults a 6 year old and 12 year old. .
Gerald
The Piggery was a wonderful place to stay. The owners were very helpful & accommodating. Beautiful scenery surrounding the accommodation & very peaceful. Would highly recommend to visit. Excellently equipped for couples & everything children would need. Well done Carys & Gwyn. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The Piggery is a home from home. This was our second visit and when we arrived we felt like we've never been away. The cottage is in a great location with Llandudno, Conwy and other places within easy reach. The Piggery can not be faulted for its comfort. It has everything that you need for your holiday. We love it so much that we have already booked again for next year.
We really loved our family stay here it is a cosy, modern and very homely holiday location. The kids loved playing footballswingball in the large garden space surrounded by the sheeplambs in the neighbouring fields and the occasional squirrel. We accessed many beautiful locations on our doorstep around North Wales and Anglesey which were within 45 minute drive from the property or less. Would highly recommend the property to friends and family, and would stay again without any hesitation. Thanks to Carys and Gwyn for making us feel very welcome and well looked after.
This is a delightful cottage with easy access to the town of Abergele and an ideal base for touring North Wales. Have stayed here twice, would have stayed more often, but because of its popularity, it hasn't been available when we tried to book.
Christine
We absolutely loved everything about the Piggery. It's the best property we've stayed in. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful. The building was really warm, clean, cosy and comfortable. It was very well equipped with loads of storage. Carys is a lovely lady, warm, welcoming and helpful. There is nothing that Gywn and Carys could do to improve. It's just PERFECT! We've already booked another stay. Graham and Chris
Really comfortable and well equipped. So peaceful and cosy in the evenings in front of the log burner. Beds super comfy. Great location to explore North Wales. Host really thoughtful and helpful.
Our 2nd stay and we will be back. Stylish, comfortable and well equiped, and everything you need for a great holiday. The log burner and the aga were a real plus. We enjoyed feeling 'away from it all' yet the town is a very short drive away and the country pub even closer in the opposite direction.
A lovely warm, cosy and clean accommodation. Beds very comfy and slept really well. Everything was perfect. Lovely views and lots of places to visit. Would visit again.
We had a lovely stay, in this beautiful property. Everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Carys and Gywn were very helpful. Lots of places to visit. Beautiful scenery.
Caroline
We booked for a week away in Oct, the Piggery was a lovely place to stay, had everything we needed and was very clean. The homemade cake on arrival was a lovely touch and the views were amazing. The beds were so comfortable I have asked what mattresses they are. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting a lovely break away.
Jeanette
We were impressed at the cleanliness when we arrived. A truly beautiful place and the quiet location was just what we look for in a property. The wc in the main bathroom was very low which I found difficult as I am an amputee and have mobility problems. The aga took a bit of getting used to but kept the open plan kitchenliving room fantastically warm which is what we needed in October. Thank you.
We were so pleased with the accommodation, it's surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet only a 5 minute drive to the town centre and the local beach. The Piggery is tastefully decorated and is so comfortable and cosy. Added bonus of a welcome pack including fresh milk, eggs and homemade cakes. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, we just wish we had booked a longer stay. We have no hesitation on recommending this property and we hope to return next year.
Heather
We stayed at this beautiful accommodation for a week & it was absolutely lovely, set in a great location with lots of sheep & easy to get about from there for exploring. The Piggery was like a home from home, everything you needed, large & spacious, spotlessly clean & the welcome pack was a nice gesture. It was nice to meet the owners Gwyn & Carys too & nice that they popped by to say hello. We will definitely be back at sometime in the near future. Kind regards, Heather & Graham.
Hayley
This is our second time staying at this gorgeous property this year and it is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this cottage to everyone who wants to explore North Wales. Cary's and Gwyn the owners are absolutely lovely people and make sure you are all okay and happy. We will definitely be returning. We would just like to say thank you to Carys and Gwyn because this property is a real gem. Hayley
A superb holiday home in an ideal location to explore north Wales, well thought out and very well equipped, spotlessly clean, lots of private outside space. Carys and Gwyn are excellent hosts, friendly and obliging. Thank you.
Lovely cottage, nice and clean. We had everything we needed. Lovely garden for the children to play in. A great week!
Jeannette
We have just spent a lovely week here with our daughter, son in law & 2 grandsons aged 12 & 10. Within minutes of arriving they were in the huge garden playing football while we unpacked. Beautifully decorated throughout & very well equipped for a comfortable stay. My daughter would have liked a radio but personally I enjoyed the quiet. Stunning views & great location. The hosts were very welcoming & helpful & left us a little welcome pack which was much appreciated. We even bought some free range eggs from them to take home. Would highly recommend to anyone & we would love to come back again to explore a bit more of the area . Thank you again Carys & Gwynn
George
Just spent a week, at The Piggery, a very good designed building, and spacious, very wellequipped, a home from home, with everything you could possibly need. Secluded and private. The granddaughter loved the large lawns surrounding the property, owners left a welcome package, and are both very obliging. Good location for the North Wales coast Llandudno, Rhyl, Prestatyn and Anglesey. Would highly recommend
Wow! The Piggery is amazing a real home from home with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. The setting is idyllic a real get away from it all with amazing views and lots of peace and quiet without feeling isolated. The property is spacious and the grounds are fabulous, with plenty of parking. It is a short drive to the beach and the town of Abergele with shops and pubs, or a little further to Prestatyn, with its lovely promenade, restaurants, shopping and crazy golf. There is plenty to see and do in Rhyl, Towyn, Colwyn Bay, RhosonSea, Llandudno and Anglesey. There are 3 generations in our family, aged from 15 to 80 and we all had the best time. The owners, Gwyn and Carys are lovely and gave us such a warm welcome. They really care and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for their guests. Thank you both so much. We have stayed in several holiday cottages and have always been pleased with our choices, but this is our favourite so far. Although the photos on the Sykes website look great, The Piggery was so much better than we expected. The only disappointment we felt was that we had to leave how we wished we could have stayed longer. We 100 recommend this property and we hope to stay again.
We spent a lovely week at The Piggery. The property was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Situated in beautiful countryside with lovely views. Close to the coast and many attractions nearby. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Michael
Stunning peaceful location
An excellent Holiday property, thoughtfully designed for every comfort. Nice to have complimentary goodies on arrival. A visit by Gwyn was nice, to check all was O K for us. Carys & Gwyn do really care about there guests. Property is in a good location, lots to visit around. WE can not recommend this property enough. We will most certainly be back. Well done Carys & Gwyn. Kind regards Mark & Julie, Justin & Gemma.

There's one word that describes this property the best and it's magical. We had a wonderful week me and my family here. We would 1000 recommend to all our family and friends. The property sits in gorgeous scenery of countryside and you are only a five minute drive to Pensarn beach just perfect in every way. Everything about the property we loved and we have booked this property again for August already. Gwyn and Carys the owners are lovely people and have a gorgeous property and we would just say thank you for allowing guests to stay at your fabulous home.
The Piggery is a lovely warm and inviting place to stay. Everything you need is provided by the owners and Carys made us welcome. There is plenty of cupboard space for storage. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There is plenty of outdoor space for the whole family in a peaceful location. The cottage is also handily placed for visiting many attractions.
We had a wonderful stay at The Piggery. The whole accommodation was beautifully done and felt quite luxurious. Comfy beds, comfy sofa, gorgeous kitchen I especially enjoyed the AGA! and the grounds and garden were wonderful. Our girls loved playing outside and we enjoyed the lambs in the neighbouring field. A highlight for me was sitting outside in the early morning with a cup of tea and enjoying the scenery. We appreciated the welcome treats, the boardgames and the peace and quiet, whilst not being too far from Tesco in Abergele! Enjoyed trips to Llandudno, Conwy and Anglesey and would definitely return and venture further afield to Snowdonia next time! We definitely hope to return!
This was a wonderful property to stay in. We arrived and it was spotlessly clean and warm. Its a very spacious and well equipped property, beds are comfortable with quality bed linen. The garden is great for children to play in and the location is very convenient for visiting many attractions. Gwyn and Cerys were lovely and welcoming and our son loved having a ride on a tractor! We were a three generation group including two toddlers and it was perfect for us all. We are definitely planning to return. I would highly recommend the property and cant think of anything that could be improved. Thank you very much Gwyn and Cerys.
This was a lovely clean place. It had everything we needed. Nice and quiet. Nice garden, many hours playing football with grandson. Owners checked in with us, to check everything was OK. Wife wanted to move in.
We had a lovely peaceful week in the Piggery which had everything we needed and we can't wait to return.
The Piggery was an amazing place to stay. You had all the home comforts that you needed in a great location. The cottage itself was warm and cosy and so peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and we even visited their farm to see the lambs which was for me a great end of our holiday. We are already planning our break there again next year.
Jonathan
The Piggery was an absolutely lovely property with lots of room for four adults and two children. Cottage was better than the pictures. Bathrooms were luxurious and lounge kitchen was great with stunning views. What really made the holiday was the children being invited onto the farm to help feed the lambs and the time they took to explain what was going on. That will be a lifetime memory. Thanks for a great week.
Great cottage. Very comfortable ,warm , quiet and clean. Thank you for the welcome gift and lovely to have a Christmas tree there. Easy to travel to any places from here too.
5 ladies which needed a well earned break! That certainly happened! The piggery cottage was amazing! Very comfortable with all amenities that you need. The log fire was just beautiful and very cosy. When we arrived the cottage was absolutely spotless. Plenty of room and just in general a beautiful place to stay. We will definitely be returning. 5 star for sure
We had a really lovely stay at The Piggery. It was spotlessly clean, really beautifully laid out and very well equipped, perfect for our winter holiday. We love walking and theres lots to do very close by, including exploring some wonderful small villages and discovering local heritage. We highly recommend a visit, and will definitely look to come again.
Brenda
Our week at the Piggery was everything that we could have wished for. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Far reaching views which were lovely, we didn't feel that we needed to go out all the time. The owners Gwyn and Carys were very warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. we would love to return again soon.
Gorgeous property very comfortable modern and clean. There were lovely goodies on arrival and met the owners who were very welcoming. The location of the house is perfect very quiet with beautiful views and in very easy commute to the A55 to be able to explore the lovely areas along the coast. There was everything needed for a very comfortable home from home experience and would fully recommend a holiday at the piggery.
Pamela
The Piggery is a stunning place to stay, the pictures do not do it enough justice with so much attention to detail! Lovely peaceful location and the views are stunning. Sofa, chairs and beds comfy and all facilities were great with an air fryer an added bonus. Ideal location for touring north Wales, close to all amenities and attractions. Warm, friendly welcome by Carys, only a call away if required. Thank you for the welcome goodies too! I would not hesitate to book again in the future and will highly recommend to friends and family.
Thank you for a wonderful week. The Piggery was warm, comfortable and very well equipped for my stay. I really enjoyed the views along with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's a great location for exploring North Wales' stunning hills, coast and castles.
