1 Beacon View Barn Reviews

Melissa
1 Beacon View Barn provided us with everything we needed during our stay and more! ! The views were breathtaking and the weather meant we were able to experience the setting in the sunshine, rain and snow and I still cant tell which one was my favourite. The inside of the barn made it feel like a home away from home and was perfect for us and our two dogs. Facilities were exactly what we needed and there wasnt anything that we thought was missing. Amazing location and we cant thank Lin, James and family for allowing others to share this great place!

We arrived at the accommodation, it was lovely and warm on a chilly evening being end of September, The accommodation was lovely clean, furniture comfortable, We had our little dog with us we checked the garden and no escape routes lol, Being country side the roads are narrow being mainly country roads. We had the pleasure to meet Lynn when replacing a complementary bottle of Prosecco, I didn't see any rules that pets not allowed on the sofa but we put one of our throws on to protect the sofa as our dog loves being on our furniture. The accommodation is disabled friendly but I would suggest if you struggle standing while showering take a shower tool with you there is loads space in the shower We definitely recommend booking the Beacon view barn the views are absolutely stunning, Thank you Lynn and family for our lovely stay
Joanne
Beautiful property with amazing views. Everything we needed and very comfortable. Hot tub was a real treat and a welcome pack appreciated after a long drive too. If you want a quiet place to relax with your dogs, this is the place for you.
Vanessa
This is lovely accommodation set in a beautiful tranquil setting.
Susanne
A wonderful midweek break. The views are stunning. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The owners had thought of everything in their information pack, from places to visit, places to eat out or take out and even local doctors and dentists. The barn itself was very well equipped, probably the best we've been to. Comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of towels. Nothing could beat sitting in the hottub with a glass of prosecco looking at the wonderful Welsh countryside. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely time. Very comfortable and extremely clean. The only tiny thing was there was no casserole dish to cook with. Luckily, we bought one for a fiver at Lidl.
Excellent place to stay superb view Very quiet and relaxing
Lovely property in which me and my two friends came to visit! The location is very much in the middle of no where and the nearest town with shops is 30 minutes away so if you are looking to relax, make sure to bring your own food or arrange for a Tesco delivery. It was a beautiful place and the air feels very fresh. The only thing is that there would be more items available such as washing up powder, and a sponge to clean our plates more the pans that dont go in the dishwasher! The Netflix stopped working on the second night so we resorted to watching the olympics instead, so maybe a guide on how to use the TV would be appreciated. The fridge had a little carton of milk, eggs were provided and a bottle of bubbly thank you. The owners were very patient whilst we were late checking out and they did not make a fuss so we really appreciated that we were not rushed to leave. Thanks so much, very lovely stay!!!
We had a brilliant stay and will definitely be returning everything was amazing. There is only one thing that I personally think could make it better and that would be to put a large corner sofa in there that's the only think that could improve it but still a 1010 for us
Sharon
Lovely modern clean property with amazing views over the countryside. We had a very relaxing stay and didn't want to leave!
Lovely converted barn, clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Very efficient communication before arrival. Was a home from home and would definitely stay again!
Lovely property with great views, the hot tub was a plus for star gazing. Dogs loved it too. Only downside was the grass could have been cut before hand but I understand it had been raining quite a lot so may not have been possible. WIFI cut out a few days after we arrived, however Lin was great and said we could use the empty property next door whenever we liked which was lovely of her to offer this. Welcome pack was a lovely surprise so Thank you. Would recommend to people looking for down time and lovely walks. Overall we had a lovely stay.
The property itself is pristine and a lovely place to stay, with one of the comfiest beds weve slept it! The views are beautiful, especially from the hot tub. The only suggestions we would have are 1. The WiFi can be rather slow but appreciate the location is quite far removed! 2. The ability to turn off the fence light the hot tub at night is a great way to see a starry night with the lack of light pollution, but the fence light diminishes that ability, and theres no way of turning it off that we could see.
We had a lovely stay here, so peaceful and such a lovely setting! Perfect base for exploring and walking, if you want to have a complete chill out, this is the place and the hot tub is a bonus

Lovely property, amazing views and so quiet and peaceful. Would definitely return. Very dog friendly and great walks nearby.
Absolutely stunning location, great views and hot tub. Would definitely recommend going and we can't wait to book again. Bonus,is there are some lovely walks from the door step. Quite far from shops but if you go prepared your set for your holiday. Teddie the cocker spaniel, loved the enclosed garden, whilst the humans where enjoying the hot tub. If your thinking of booking, just do it you won't be disappointed.
Alison
The perfect place to stay if you are looking for down time. The barn is so comfortable, the views are just fabulous. We will definitely be back.
Lorraine
Lovely cottage Lovely welcome pack Great information prior to arrival Prompt reply to a problem with the TV Couldnt fault any of it . Thank you
A great holiday in a superb location. 1 Beacon View Barn is a spotlessly clean and comfortable bungalow set in a gloriously remote and rugged valley. Relaxing in the hot tub after a day's walking was a huge pleasure. Happy to report that the shower is also very good. The property's isolated location is blissfully quiet, but it does mean you'll need a car for the 'local' shop and excellent nearby pubs. We enjoyed some great hill walks right from the door and also further afield. Lin and James were very accommodating hosts and the welcome pack was much appreciated.
Steven
Beautiful property , so spacious and clean , kitchen had everything ! Great additions such as dish washer and washing machine . Hot tub was superb ! Quite away from everything but that suited us fine ! Definitely be back and booking was just so easy .
Kristian

What a lovely place to stay for a long weekend! Thank you to Lin, she was a great host!
Awesome views. Incredible attention to detail. Stunning walks. Simplicity at its best. A little slice of heaven!
Catherine
Great accommodation that was clean, modern and had everything that was needed for a self catering holiday. It was set in beautiful surroundings and waking up to wonderful scenery and sounds of sheep was great. Our holiday was at the end of Novemberearly December and we were lucky that the weather was wonderful and waking up to a sprinkling of snow one morning was lovely. Sitting in the hot tub on cold evenings was an added bonus and on our last night sitting in it while a heavy snow blizzard was happening was delightful. We arrived after Storm Arwen which caused a few problems with the power but we were kept up to date by the owners who were lovely and sorted out a few problems which were caused by the power failure straight away. All in all a lovely holiday and will return for another stay.
Lynette
It was set in a lovely peaceful area. Everything you needed was there.
Love,ly place to stay ,great view,s across the vally ,while sitting in your hot tub, Lin the owner very friendly, very helpful. Some lovely walking in the area even from your front door. Dan the dog loved it too Love to go back Thank,s Lin
Fantastic holiday from start to finish. Couldnt fault this place at all the hottub was amazing, the views were amazing. The place was so well equipped with everything you needed. Will 100 be coming back. Just the most amazing place to be.
The property surpasses all expectations. Is in a setting that cannot be conveyed via description or photograph. Property is extremely clean and modern and so comfortable. Owners met us on arrival after road closures made us very late and they were so friendly all week. Such an enjoyable stay.
The 1 beacon view was very relaxing with amazing views, nice and remote with hottub on the patio with sunshine from rising until 7. 30 at night, bbq supplied and all fenced in so you could let your pet roam free and relax. Everything you need is provided in the barn so just bring your shopping or get it delivered then just relax.
Roxanne
We had the most amazing few days here. Everything was better than we expected, even when it rained one day it didnt stop us enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We could not fault it. We will definitely be back.
Claire
We had a wonderful time the barn was cozy and comfortable, with gorgeous views. The hot tub was an amazing treat, and perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset from
Lynsey
Lin and James are the perfect hosts. All your needs are catered for at the barn. The views are spectacular and the barns are of an exceptional standard. I wouldnt holiday anywhere else now!
Edward
A well maintained and equipped holiday accommodation in a pleasant part of Wales with good walks to the local towns and villages. Not too far from larger towns to do shopping or just to visit. The hosts were very helpful with our sons medical needs and equipment, and the little extras of tea, coffee, wine and flowers were very welcome after a long drive. Thank you for a great holiday.
The pictures really dont do the place justice, and when we got stuck in with the floods the owners couldn't have been any more helpful than they were, a truly fantastic experience and we will definitely be back.
The barn was a lot more than we expected and the facilities were excellent. Could not of asked for anything more in this property. The views are unbelievable and the only thing you hear is the sheep which surround you. We was welcomed by fresh flowers, a bottle of prosecco and fresh eggs which was a lovely touch and not expected.
Graham
