The Little Beehive Reviews

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Little Beehive and would definitely visit again. A lovely cottage in a rural village location. The property was well presented and very comfortable, exceptionally clean and spacious, and very well equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. The garden was completely secure and perfect for our two small dogs. Although in a farm location, the only noise we experienced was from the cockerel and the occasional passing farm vehicle, not a problem at all. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

From start to finish we had an amazing comfortable stay. As a single dad with 2 young kids and a well behaved British Bulldog, this property made everything so easy with plenty of space. Property is cosy and warm, the hot tub is massive clean and held the temperature well. Every aspect was thought about well with everything provided for cleaning. Anybody leaving anything negative should be ignored. Shower and bath were perfect and the kids being fussy, one likes the bath the other prefers showers. Hot water supply was as expected at home. A massive bonus having a downstairs toilet too. One little comment, maybe a new frying pan needed and possibly a 2nd little one. Otherwise kitchen supplys were brilliant. Our Doggie had 2 bowls supplied and a blanket too, enclosed garden for her to run around was a massive godsend. Thank you to the owners you have an amazing place for us to enjoy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ps. Thanks for leaving a Monopoly game, now the kids are addicted!! Lol

The cottage was lovely but would have liked a bigger fridgefreezer also a washing machine would have been handy. The garden was smaller than we expected but very secure for our fir babies
The cottage was immaculate and the pictures do not show just how big this cottage is. The owners were very friendly and introduced themselves on arrival to my husband whilst he unpacked the car. My little boy didn't want to leave. We took our little dog and the walks were amazing even if we did get a little lost, we ended up in a lovely little pub that was dog friendly. The highlight has to be the space, the hottub and the quietness and surroundings. We even stumbled upon a field of alpacas on our walk and the views were amazing. I have already recommended to a lot of friends and family and would definitely book again in the future.
Ideal Base, lovely surroundings, great walks for the dogs and a fabulous hit tub
A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country.
Sandra
A fantastic little cottage with hot tub, perfect for a mini break. The only suggestion I would make would be to have a line drier so you can dry off wet swimsuits towels for the tub. Would definitely stay here again
Heather

Great cottage in lovely location. Equipment quite basic. Bath towels too small. No cleaning products so not able to clean property properly when we left. No outside lights by hot tub. Hooks near hot tub would be good for hanging towelsbath robe.

Had a very enjoyable stay, lovely cottage, lovely countryside. We didn't feel that either pub was easily walkable, narrow dark lanes and little or no footpaths. Overall we had a good time and visited some great places.
Gemma-mai
Lovely home and location. Clean and clutterfree. Did have a few flies in the house but that is to be expected being in the countryside. Overall, was a lovely and relaxing holiday.
Kamlesh

Deborah

Racheal
A wonder spacious but homely retreat positioned far enough away from the world to relax but central enough to go exploring this beautiful part of the country. Everything supplied for a cosy home from home experience and a dwelling that has exactly what it says on tin! Cannot thank our hosts enough
Lovely property and well kept. Really comfortable. Enjoyed touring the local area and visiting some excellent pubs and restaurants.
Katherine
The cottage was immaculately clean, bright and very well equipped.
Loved The Little Beehive. Ideal location for our needs, having family living nearby. Definitely a favourite and hope to return soon.
We stated with our two dogs. All of us had a relaxing break. Property had everything we needed and more. Its spacious and clean in a lovely location, a short walk to a lovey pub, the manor arms and a short drive to Bewdley and Stourport.
Graeme
Nice to have outside light. Gate difficult to use. Key collection point could be easier to find. Doesnt need to be hidden away. Whistling radiators.
Sharon
Absolutely loved our weekend at The Little Beehive it was a well needed break for a team of support workers who are used to giving, but not taking time for us. It was a chance for us to unwind, and thats what we did. The Little Beehive was a home from home, everything you need and more. Cosy, comfy and cute. Wed love to return for our next break
Fabulous place to stay in a lovely area . Very friendly owner . Lovely local pub nearby. Would stay again
Louise
We really enjoyed our week here, the barn was beautiful and surroundings perfect. Abberley Common was visited most days as I am currently not very mobile due to a recent knee replacement. This was on the doorstep and perfect for walking our two dogs. The hot tub was blissful and frequented at least once a day. The only things I would mention as observations not complaints in any way would be to have fridge freezer instead of an under counter fridge with ice compartment. With a full weeks fresh food shop delivered we struggled to fit everything in and there was only two of us, I don't know how a family of 4 would cope ? Also I would have preferred a washer or washer dryer to a dishwasher. As there was a hot tub we constantly had wet swimwear and wet towels from the hot tub and shower with no means of drying them.
We had an excellent stay at the Little Beehive, the property was very clean, well stocked and fit for purpose. There were some lovely additional touches that added to experience and the hot tub was amazing. We stayed here with my inlaws and they have two dogs and high standards. They found nothing to complain about and the dogs were also incredibly happy and comfortable. The local area is picturesque with great walks and we loved the sound of geese and cockerels in the morning although my inlaws didnt hear them. We did have a requirement to speak to the owner I broke a glass and it was nice that she is next door and so understanding and helpful. If I had to make an small negative observation it would be that I would describe the lounge sofas as adequate not comfortable but this was never a problem and didnt detract from our enjoyment of our break away. We had a great stay in this premium property and I would definitely stay here again.
Steven
A beautifully presented cottage with all the amenities, excellently located on the edge of Abberley Village. Very clean throughout, and decorated to a high standard. Thoroughly recommended.
Great property to stay in a very peaceful part of the world Nice size property and very comfortable Owners are friendly and helpful Highly recommended as a place to go for a relaxing time. Plenty of walk around the local area if you take your 4 legged friends Would definitely go back Hot tub was very clean and maintained, no issues with wasp nests as mentioned by previous reviewers
Probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Very spacious and comfortable. We were a little concerned about the wasp nest mentioned in previous reviews but there was no sign of one and only had the number of wasps around you would expect for August. The owners live across the courtyard so on hand if you need anything, but otherwise you are not disturbed. Also there are no cameras, despite someone else's review! I can only assume they confused a camera with light sensors! Would definitely recommend!
Claire
Had a lovely stay in comfortable cottage with everything you need. Location perfect to relax and enjoy peace & quiet. Enjoyed walking and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening.
Lovely little cottage in a beautiful area. Enjoyed our stay, rooms were comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with crockery, glasses and potspans. Plenty to do in the local area, however found the local pub the manor a little pushy and over priced in contradiction to other reviews on here. Before we arrived we noticed a recent review highlighting a wasps nest, this still hasnt been dealt with and impacted our time as we had a number of wasps inside the property, there was no easy way to deal with them, and meant we couldnt have windows open to cool upstairs rooms. Hot tub was a lovely feature but felt in need of a clean.
Lovely cottage, ideally situated for touring local day's out
We loved the property. It is in a lovely location. There were plenty of walks for our dogs and many places to visit locally including Wyre Forest. We would highly recommend this property to any couple with dogs. The owners need to know that there is a wasp nest in the middle at the back above a dark brick just under the eaves.
It was a delightful converted barn and within easy reach of many outstanding areas, especially the Severn Valley Railway. Good walks locally which our little Miniature Schnauzer took full advantage of. The local pub was good, even though the general manager and staff had only taken over within a few days of our arrival, very welcoming and friendly, food good too. The hot tub was a welcome treat helping us to relax after a full day of walking and sight seeing.
