Bryn Eglwys Barn Reviews

Hosts very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The views are absolutely stunning! The peace and tranquilly of the area as well as holidaying in Tywyn in the 70s and 80s is what drew me here. If you love asltrophotograpy and have clear skys then you will have amazing shots from a bortle 3 area. The night sky is very dark and faint stars can be seen. The bed is firm, so I would recommend a topper, the spa is wood fired. I didnt find the logs on arrival but they are located between the accommodation and the raised seating area in a wooden hut. The spa hadnt been used for a while, I would suggest lighting it on arrival to get to temp. Lovely touches like a welcome basket of 2 small bottles of prosecco along with crisps were amazing. If youre taking a dog, then keep them on a lead as the site has no enclosed area, they do have lovely cats too as well as live stock another reason to keep your pet on a lead I would book again, and I would love to stay for longer
The property was superb. The hot tub was delightful. Our hosts couldn't not have been more pleasant and helpful.
Robert
The fact that upcoming months show reduced rates possibly due to lack of bookings indicates that original rates are set far too high. I think high rental rates are putting people off. Would be advisable to lower rates and thereby increase lets which would be beneficial to owners. Property and owners are excellent so a shame to lose out due to setting rates so high.
Graham
Great accommodation with everything you need in a fabulous location. The hot tub is superb!
Myself and my partner had a fantastic stay here. Lovely hot tub, great hosts, beautiful cottage and fantastic scenery .we will come backBig thank you to the friendly hosts.

The property and the location is beautiful. Karen & the family cannot do enough for you, super friendly & communication was perfect. Thankyou for the best stay!
Pamela
If there had been a 5 star option above we would have awarded it as the facilities were superb. An additional note. The post code LL36 9SB takes you to the centre of the village of Llanegryn. It would be better to state The property is on the right hand side of the A493 Tywyn Dolgellau road, about 500 yards beyond the turning for Llangeryn
An amazing holiday, very relaxing! Karen welcomed us and was attentative throughout our stay.. we shall return.
Anthony
Lovely new cottage in a stunning location! Highly recommended.
Elizabeth
This cottage and its owners are so welcoming. Its beautifully finished, very clean and well equipped like a hotel suite. Lovely views especially from the raised sitting area and dog walks from your door. The owners have a permissive path for well behaved dogs, on lead, over their fields and woods. 1.5m from Tywyn with its glorious beach where theres a good dog area too. Gywedd and neighbouring counties has much to explore. Heritage railways and historic sites and amazing waterfalls and mountains and coast. Not to mention great icecream! We intend to return.
Robert
Lovely cottage and stay. Thank you
A beautifully converted barn providing all the facilities necessary for a great stay. The location is delightfully quiet but only about three and a half miles from Tywyn where there are plenty of restuarants and two good supermarkets. Rhys and Karen, the owners, are very welcoming and helpful, making our stay very enjoable. The nearby Talyllyn Railway is a must!
Andrew
The property was in an excellent location and extremely easy to find plus only a few miles from Tywyn for food supplies and the beach. The facilities provided within the property were brilliant. I would definitely recommend Bryn Eglyws Barn!
Beautiful cottage, very peaceful, the welcome gift was a lovely touch. We were in a great location to visit surrounding areas such as Tywyn, Barmouth, etc, A very dog friendly area, the beaches were also very good. Karen the own was very friendly, and approachable. The cottage was very warm, the log burner was excellent, well decorated and you had all the cooking utensils and crockery you need. We will be back later in the year.
Lovely cottage set in a peaceful setting. Good location for exploring the area. Everything was beautifully presented, nice comfortable bed and facilities were excellent.
A little gem, so comfortable and welcoming. Immaculately presented and clean. Karen was helpful and on hand if required.
Great place to stay. Cosy, warm, and well equipped, great to come home to at the end of a day. Very friendly hosts. Even saw a meteor on the way in one evening! Many thanks hope to return soon.
