The Hayloft Reviews

Lovely location quiet and pretty excellent facilities very warm in property for this time of year Plenty of parking. Good location for visiting other local areas
Richard
Absolutely beautiful place, would absolutely recommend The Hayloft. It is a little bit short in places like the front door and coming down the stairs but other than that its an amazing cottage. The location is perfect if you are wanting to see the sights around Cornwall theres also some trails you can find from the house. The hot tub is in a great location being under shade and kept well hidden so you have your privacy.
A beautiful place to stay. Just as it was described but even better in real life. Will definitely be returning if we can. If you need a relaxing holiday then this is the place for you.
Thank you for a great stay. It really is a lovely, modern property. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the open plan living area has everything you need, including the beautiful views of the countryside. Coming home to the jacuzzi every evening can't be under estimated either! St. Just nearby was great for breakfast, fish and chips, and the supermarket. Busy little place with a great vibe. Plus Lands End only 6 miles away. One watch out, for anyone taking a dog. Whilst it's dog friendly overall, with good space outside for them to roam and go to the toilet, the back wall is not very tall and our dog who is a bit of an explorer escaped through what I can only guess are gaps in the back fence of the garden and he was found near a busy road which was obviously extremely concerning. So something to seriously consider if taking dogs with you as we had to keep a very close eye on him every time we let him out.

Stunning property in a great location. Fridge not as small as a few people say, we managed perfectly. St Just has a good range of shops with everything you need and is a great base for exploring the area. Cant wait to go back.
What a wonderful week we have had at the Hayloft. We arrived to a beautiful spotlessly clean house. The layout as upside down gave us beautiful views. It was a lovely surprise to have a welcome gift of bread sausages bacon eggs and white pudding & mushrooms. The wonderful hot tub was a gods send. Our family would thoroughly recommend this beautiful house.
Nice place. Very quiet, peaceful and easily accessible to some lovely coastline and beaches not too far away.
Debbie
The property is lovely and in an ideal position a few little things grout in ensuite is a little mouldy and some of the jets in the hot tub were not working. However I would defintely book again a very relaxing and enjoyable week.
The Hayloft without a doubt is a beautiful cottage with fantastic views of the countryside. The welcome package in the fridge was amazing and made a really fantastic breakfast. In general we had a really good stay, although the cottage in general was really lovely it is looking tired in some places. The handle to the bathroom in the master bedroom was really loose and the screws came out. The toilet roll holder was nearly coming off the wall so we didnt use it. The hot tub was a welcome addition but the jets only worked on one side and the chlorine tablets hadnt been replaced so they ran out in the middle of the week. The fridge is quite small for a family if you want to cook most nights. A little TLC would make this place outstanding
A really beautiful property in every way. The standard of accommodation was really exceptional. Location just perfect. We would definitely return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Owners were very helpful much more so than Sykes who failed to respond to two emails and who cut off our call to them after we had been in the waiting loop for over 10 minutes.
Superb property in a great location. The generous welcome pack was a lovely touch, and the covered hot tub delightful! Many thanks.
Nicola
Beautiful place we enjoyed our stay would definitely recommend
Great place to stay for visiting West Cornwall. The house was very clean and the welcome pack was one of the best we have had. The hot tub was a bonus after a long day. Secure garden for our dog, it was nice to look out and see the cows in the field next to the house.
Michelle

Hot tub was prefect and owner came in half way to clean. St Just 10 mins away Great Pubs for lunch St Ives 30 mins drive away Penzance 20 mins drive away FYI If you bring your pets please be mindful of your neighbours
Allison
This is a really great place to stay, the hot tub was a brilliant addition to chill out in after a day of exploring, Loads to see and do in Cornwall. Would recommend the hayloft.
Sandra
Excellent property, Excellent location, brilliant welcoming pack ,all facilities great, highly recommend.
Melanie
A beautiful property with great facilities. Had a very relaxing time here.
Glenda
This was the most perfect retreat for a birthday week. The property was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and freshly painted, with everything you can imagine needing. The lounge chairs and bed were so comfortable, and we enjoyed just sitting looking at the lovely garden and country views. Plenty of parking a bonus. Probably the most generous welcome pack we have ever had, and much appreciated. Was reassuring to see that the hot tub had obviously been cleaned out and refilled for our stay. A big thank you to the hosts for everything.
The Hayloft at St Just is a little more expensive than other lodges i've stayed at but i think it is justifiable. The log fire with logs, the hot tub, the free breakfast in the fridge, the high standard of the kitchen amenities, and bedrooms with en suite are very spacious and comfortable. The four local pubs with log fires are worth a visit and not forgetting the local butchers. The only sad thing about the Hayloft was driving home. Must stay for 2 weeks next time. Jason Lane.

Wonderful place very clean when we arrived , very cosy and relaxing, had ... Wonderful place very clean when we arrived , very cosy and relaxing, had everything we needed and more, we had a fantastic week, beautiful views , highly recommend, we will definitely be booking next year
Lovely setting. Fab facilities with a high spec finish too. We really liked the starter pack with fresh farm shop produce.
Michelle
Excellent cottage, hot tub, location, with a luxury feel. There are some low parts to the ceiling to look out for and the patio when wet can get quite slippery, it could do with some matting but there is also garden access from downstairs. Secure garden with a private feel, cozy, luxury, away from it all, would recommend xx
Carole
We brought my mum and partner here for a week at the end of August. Fantastic place to stay, really peaceful and perfect to get away from a relaxing break. We brought our 2 dogs with us and found the local beaches perfect for walks in a morning and late afternoon. The hot tub was a welcome addition in the evening to relax after a long day. The kitchen was perfectly appointed with everything we needed. The bedrooms were super comfortable and well appointed. The addition of an EV charging point was very useful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Darren
The location was superb but for 500 per day to stay there my expectations were not fulfilled. The landlady tried her best to correct the issues we had with the property . We had multiple issues with the property and subsequently we had tradesmen in and out of the property during our stay. I could not recommend this property to anyone until the attention to detail had significantly improved.
Excellent location with some added extras from the owners. The owner even left a note explaining one of the handles on a door was loose and to be careful with it! Would love to go back but the property is already booked next year for the dates we want to go!
Fabulous stay in a beautiful location and property. We would definitely recommend
Malcolm
Second time I've stayed here, unfortunately standards have slipped a little, TV wasn't working when we arrived, I had to repair the ariel cable that had been ripped out of the wall and TV. Balcony was dirty and hand rails were covered in sticky sap, couple of stains on the bedding and the hot tub only partially works, it also has a major leak and requires filling each day. Shame, was right up there, still enjoyed our stay.
Overall an excellent property with the hot tub and EV charging a big plus. Only downside is the fridge was not big enough for our food for 4 adults and 1 baby
This was our second stay at The Hayloft. The accommodation is lovely. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We found the bed to be very comfortable. The log burner was very efficient and, unusually for a rental property, there was an ample supply of logs. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day walking. There are walks directly from the door, only having to walk along the road for a short time. Our dogs are escape artists. Much to their disappointment, they were unable to break out of the lovely secure garden.
Elliott
Fantastic week away in this lovely accommodation in Saint just. Lovely welcome Breakfast Hamper for us on arrival which was all locally scorced & tasted so nice. The Hayloft has everything for a family of 4 with a dog as well. The kids loved the Hot tub in the evening as well. It's a great base for exploring. We did quite alot in our time in Cornwall visiting numerous places as well as doing sealife safari in Padstow, St ives is only half an hour away as well, Falmouth bout an hour, Mousehole is a must for a visit as well. Everything is available at hayloft for a relaxing place to stay while being in Cornwall. Thankyou for having us. We Would definitely come back.
Lovely property everything we needed, spotlessly clean. Would recommend
Lovely property just as described. The property had everything we needed and wanted. Good well stocked kitchen and a lovely welcome breakfast pack. Hot tub was just fabulous, it was very warm so didnt need to use the fire but looked great.
Christina
We have stayed at The Old Forge next door twice previously as we had stayed as part of a larger family group. We decided to have a last minute get away and decided on The Hayloft. We werent disappointed and will be looking to return again for sure! Thank you for the lovely welcome hamper, the hot tub was amazing after being windswept on our days out. The enclosed garden was great for our 2 dogs we all had a fantastic time we didnt want to leave!
What a fantastic cottage it was great for us and plenty of room for our two dogs. The property is beautifully furnished and had absolutely everything we needed. Location was great as well with lovely views and lots of beaches and walks nearby . Would highly recommend a stay here
Louise
We had a brilliant time staying in the Hayloft, the property is excellent. We would definitely come again. A nice touch with the hamper on arrival too thank you!
Malcolm
We've been waiting for 3 years to stay at the Hayloft and it was worth the wait. Stunning property, so well thought out and excellently presented. Fully equipped with virtually everything you could possibly need. The location is great too, perfect base for visiting most of Cornwall. We'll definitely be looking to return, let's hope we can get availability less than 3 years next time. Congratulations to the owners, you've set a new standard for all future accommodation. Thanks
Norman
We can for a week at the end of August to the Hayloft and we shocked as to how beautiful a setting the Hayloft was. Everything exceeded our expectations and if there was just on thing that my wife said would have made it pretty perfect is a bath. Unfortunately no bath but nice showers. The whole experience of spending time at the Hayloft for my family was just fantastic and we will book up and come again. Thoroughly recommend this as a relaxing, secluded and beautiful place to come.
