Godrevy Barn Reviews

Nice quiet, enjoyable stay. Comfortable and well equipped.
Great location, short drives to many lovely beaches and other local places to visit. Clean and well equipped kitchen massive dishwasher!. Walking distance thankfully to a great pub. We didnt try the hot tub, but it looked great. If I could change one thing about this cottage it would the shower, which was warm enough but the pressure was low.

We had an amazing stay at Godrevy barn, enjoying the log burner and hot tub. This is a very well kept premises with everything youd need. We highly recommend a stay here!
We have stated at Godrevy Barn several times and always found it ideal for us. Great location in a quiet village with a lovely pub, but easy access to all major services. The Barn is a perfect size for couples with easy off road parking.
Debbie
This was our 4th stay at The Barn. Warm and cozy, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Quality soft furnishings. It has everything needed for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. It's situated in an idea location for exploring South West Cornwall. We will definitely be back
Pauline
Lovely accomodation. Would only say gate difficult to shut and thw key code is difficult to see as numbers quite worn

What an amazing find. From the first point of contact with Lou regarding the key for the property to the day we left, everything was simply perfect. The cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything to hand. The personal touches are absolutely amazing. Lovely bottle of red wine and milk to start off our stay. Everything was clearly displayed and Lou was just at the end of the line for any queries. The cottage is so central so we left the car, either walked to the beach and stopping off for coffee along the way, or hop onto the bus or train, visiting Penzance, Truro and St Ives. The hot tub was the definite highlight for us and the secure garden was perfect for our dog. I would highly recommend this cottage!
We have taken our holidays in the barn for many years and enjoy the peaceful location, facilities and attention to detail. The barn is a perfect size for two and we have not found anywhere better!
Cottage was lovely. Well thought out, well equipped, comfortable. Plenty of kitchenware, good sized fridgefreezer, washing machine, dishwasher. Fresh flowers and wine on arrival, and a welcome pack for our dog. Bed comfortable. Location was very good. In a small village which seemed away from everything but very close to shops, supermarkets, beach etc and excellent road links to everywhere else. Hot tub was in a pretty private garden, was spotless with daily maintenance and kept at 38 degrees, bliss. Would certainly like to return.

Debbie
We love The Barn, this was our third stay. A welcome pack was provided on arrival consisting of milk, wine and flowers. Everything was provided for a warm comfortable stay. Immaculately clean. Good quality Egyptian cotton bedding and lovely fluffy towels. We loved to watch the birds whilst relaxing in the hottub which is set in the secluded, private patio area. We will definitely return to relax and recharge in this gem of a property.
A delightful cottage, very cosy and clean and in a perfect location to visit the wonderful coastline of western Cornwall.
Geoffrey
Very well equipped kitchen and plenty of storage space in the bedroom couldnt get heater to work in bedroom but not a problem as it was more than warm enough loved the hot tub. Only complaint is that on a personal level we felt there were too many nik nacks and ornaments about but others may like that. Nice welcome of flowers wine and milk. Would certainly consider this place again on our next visit to Cornwall
Lou was fantastic and the place was immaculate thank you. However the booking was not so good they demanded payment even though I had already paid in full. Not happy about that at all and no apology given even !
Great stay thank you perfect for us
Elaine
We found the Barn very comfortable and with everything we could need. It was larger than we expected. Lovely to have the hot tub in a secluded garden, and we used it every day. It would be good to have a light in the garden. Having logs for the fire was great too, as well as wine, milk, eggs, tea and coffee when we arrived and a vase of fresh flowers. We loved the decor and cottage like touches, as it is a seaside rental this was lovely. The bed was so comfortable. We walked to the local pub for meals a couple of times, and used the little Cornwall book to find stunning places to visit. We loved our stay.
This cottage is perfect for a getaway in Cornwall. The bedroom is spacious and the living room is perfect for cooking breakfastdinner. The hottub is perfectly located just around the corner
Stephanie
Godrevy Barn was perfect for us two. It was very well equipped. Hot tub was glorious! Perfect location for exploring the local area. Local pub was great and very handy to have M&S so close! Wonderful week had. Would definitely come back!
Debbie
Godrevy Barn was very well equipped, clean, warm and very comfortable. Everything was provided for a lovely stay. A welcome pack was also provided consisting of milk, wine and fresh flowers. The hottub was well used and is situated in a private and secluded patio garden to the side of the property. This was our second time at the property and we would love to return.
We had an excellent week again Godrevy Barn. For Sykes Holidays rather than the owners I would like to raise the following point. The time allowed into the property is 5pm and the requirement to vacate on the last day is 9am. This amounts to a whole day of the holiday. Prior to Covid and probably several years before it used to be 23pm in and 10am out. The times now in place were given to allow additional cleaning because of Covid which surely isnt the issue now. My other point is, I have received numerous messages offering discounts for holidays, what a pity these cannot be applied to bookings already made. We have a booking in Godrevy Cottage for Christmas made earlier this year and will pay the going rate. A discount for loyalty?
Lovely well designed accommodation, but very cluttered with gee gaws on every surface. Good selection of cookware, but an odd collection of crockery and glasses. Sofa needs to be replaced and the hot tub needs attention headrests missing, sounds like a jet engine. Lovely area, great location for seeing sw Cornwall.
We had the absolute best time staying here! The property is in such a good location, it was spotless when we arrived and everything has been thought of in terms of equipment. The hot tub was bliss after being out all day exploring Cornwall. The shower was amazing, bed was so comfortable, I dont have a bad word to say about Godrevy Barn. I will definitely be booking to come back!
Lorraine
Property very cluttered and attention needed on kitchen implements ie glasses, plates and cutlery very mismatched. There was no mirror anywhere convenient to do hair and makeup with a plug socket near by in fact no mirror. Garden area needs attention and hot tub needs up dating although clean.
Great stay at Godrevy Barn. Perfect spot for St Ives and south Cornwall. The Barn is in a very quiet location with a well maintained hot tub, comfortable bed and everything needed for a holiday and more. Anne and Michael the owners and Lou the caretaker couldnt do enough for us, communication was excellent.
Really enjoyed our stay. The Barn is ideal for 2 and well equipped. The Angarrack Inn is very good and only a few steps away. The entrance to the Barn is quite narrow, wide cars be aware!!!
Michael
Beautiful Barn and great location. Very clean and very well equipped we had a fantastic stay over new year.
Very enjoyable Christmas stay. Loved all the Christmas decorations and thank you so much for the wine and chocolates under the tree. The barn is comfortable and well equipped so cooking Christmas dinner was stress free. Great beaches and walks nearby and the village Christmas lights are amazing. Hot tub was lovely to relax and star gaze in at night.
Fantastic barn with great access to all surrounding areas such as Hayle and St Ives. The Barn was very clean and had brilliant facilities including a private hot tub! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Aileen
We found the Barn to meet our needs perfectly. It was a perfect size for a couple. Definitely spacious enough and the privacy in the garden with the hot tub was lovely. Our weather was great so we sat out for breakfast each morning. Angarrack is a lovely village and the Inn was a few minutes walk for drinks and food. The Barn was well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and well organised. Lovely bedding. Lou, the housekeeper left wine, milk and flowers for our arrival which were very much appreciated after our nine hour drive. Although we were there for family reasons, not a holiday, we would love to return again to relax, enjoy the hot tub, and all the surrounding areas. We did manage a walk along the cliffs at Godrevy Point which is a short distance from the property, but its very well placed to visit many more beautiful walks, beaches and towns in Cornwall.
Absolutely lovely property me and my partner both enjoyed our time there and couldnt ask for more.

Debbie
We booked the Barn and the Cottage which worked well with extended family. The Barn is perfect for a couple, nicely decorated and well equipped, great shower and also a hot tub. Very convenient location for exploring the whole of Cornwall.
Really lovely cottage with fab facilitiesvery clean and well presented
Godrevy Barn was absolutely amazing! ! It was extremely clean, and fully equipped beyond anyones expectations of a holiday cottage. We could not fault it Anne, Michael and Lou do a fantastic job in making your holiday happy and stress free. Michael was very helpful in explaining places to visit and how to get there. Anne and Lou were so lovely and friendly, they made us feel so welcome. We will be returning next year. Had a totally blissful time.. the hot tub was the perfect end to long days out
Rachel
We had the most relaxing stay at the barn. The property is very comfortable has everything you need for a great holiday, and Lou was most helpful and around if you needed anything. The area that the barn is situated in, is a beautiful part of Cornwall and the village is near enough to all facilities but yet really quiet. I must just add that the garden would benefit from having some of the trees trimmed, and then you can enjoy the sunshine even more.
Lovely bungalow everything you need , secluded garden with hot tub , only ... Lovely bungalow everything you need , secluded garden with hot tub , only downside was curtains in bedroom to light so when sun's up light flows in the bedroom, could do with some darker curtains otherwise lovely stay
Bernice
The cottage was in a lovely village, well equipped, with a great pub just a short distance away. However, the photos were obviously taken a considerable time ago and do not reflect the inside or outside of the cottage presently. The garden is completely overgrown, with no views and the inside needs a complete de clutter. Also, there were dehumidifiers everywhere, and my husband felt obligated to empty the electric one each day. A cupboard to store groceries would be helpful in the kitchen. Lou the housekeeper was lovely and chatty.
The photos on your site did not reflect the current state of the property. So it was clear they were old photos, the sofa has changed as has the bed and the plants outside have grown Your information about what we needed to take was inaccurate we took lots of things we didn't need and didn't take things we should have so had to go and buy. I understand these are difficult times but it would have been more helpful to have accurate information as we choose the property on the photos! The owners of the property were most helpful.
We knew what to expect as we had been there before but good to see that the high standards have been maintained. The necessary adjustments for Covid were appropriate and appreciated.
