The Coach House Reviews

Natalie
We had a wonderful stay at the Coach House. The property is very spacious, with plenty of room for the family and ample parking for cars. The hot tub, sauna, and indoor BBQ were fantastic additions that made our Christmas break even more enjoyable. The owners were incredibly accommodating and ensured all our needs were met throughout. The surrounding area is perfect for dog walks, though do watch out for barbed wire in some spots. Supermarkets and shops are conveniently close by, which made things even easier.
Gosh! I dont even know where to start! If I could leave 10 stars I would! The house is stunning and has everything you need! We even managed to bake a cake using the equipment they provided! The house was so clean and well decorated for Christmas! The provided so much fire wood! The new hot tub they have easily fitted 8 of us in! Same as the sauna! There is home made cider for purchase to! And it was the best cider we have ever drank! Honestly if your a group of 10 and want to book somewhere I recommend here! It was easy to find as well! Google maps took us straight there wich was a big bonus for us! If you need anything at all their there to help you! Even checked in on the first night to make sure we have everything needed. They keep dogs on the property but were big dog people so loved having a cuddle with them! The larmas alpacas were so funny! They would chase your car! It was such a magical stay. Cant fault them at all!
Tracey
Lovely big house, hot tub, fire pit and sauna were great. Owners were helpful when needed. Would be good if the hot tub was covered for rainy weather. Does have a triangle sail but doesn't cover the full tub. Could be cleaner but I understand its a large old house.
Absolutely lovely stay at the cottage. Me and my friends stayed for a long weekend to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed it thank you. We got use out of the sauna and hot tub which where really easy to use. And the BBQ area was so fun, we had a little quiz there and ate some great food. The owner was super helpful and lovely too and it was a really warm and welcoming. Thank you so much. We would love to come again.
Samantha
We had a wonderful stay at the coach house. The owners were friendly and attentive and helpful from answering questions before we got there to checking everything was ok while we were there. The cosy are hot tub, sauna and BBQ hut was amazing and really made the holiday relaxing. Everything we needed was there ready. Our dog also really enjoyed his time there with plenty of space to explore all fenced in, we knew he was safe. The kitchen, bedrooms and living room were cosy and helped us to relax and enjoy our holiday.

Thanks Suzanne for the perfect stay, well be back for sure!
Beautiful property, well maintained. Very clean Beds are very comfortable Facilities are excellent The jacuzzi, sauna and BBQ area is excellent There is everything you need In a great location Will definitely go here again
Amazing property! We had the best time in this beautiful house. The outside area with the hot tub, sauna and bbq hut was amazing! We definitely made the most of the hot tub, but was a bit too cold to be out there for long periods of time. Just outside the main to the house is fields with horses, alpacas, chickens and cockerels, which we loved going and seeing every day. We loved our stay and would definitely like to return.
Amanda
We visited for a girlie family catch up. Everything was spot on for booking and arriving and we had a fantastic time. Facilities were fantastic and Suzanne was the perfect hostess who popped over to check we had everything we needed. This place is perfect for a chilled time away and has everything you need. Will defo be going back again. Thank you
A group of 7 of us had an incredible time in AugSept 2024. There was nothing wed change, the house was spotless and had all the facilities you could of asked for. Briefly met the owners and they were extremely nice. The area is great too, youre only a short distance from all you could want. If I had one criticism, it would be to update the online listing as the house and its outdoor area is so much better than you are expecting. We were constantly finding features not mentioned in the listing that made it all the better. A toilet down in the chillout area, saving you from having to go back to the main house after jumping out from the huge electric powered hot tub genius! Bluetooth speaker in the firepit hut great addition! 2 ovens instead of all sharing 1 mega handy! I cant fault this property at all, we would all more than love to come back and pay another visit!
Mishel
Had the most amazing, relaxing week. We decided to book a holiday as we had only recently lost our little brother and the whole family had been stressed and struggling to cope. We did not realise how much we needed this break. The property was lovely and spacious, it gave everyone the ability to go off and spend time on their own if they needed space but also allowed us to spend much needed time together. The hot tub, sauna and BBQ hut were amazing and meant that the whole family, including the kids, got to have fun together. Our little puppy thought he was in heaven with all of the space he had to run around. Thank you so much and we will definitely be booking the coach house again.
Angela
We had a lovely stay at the property and it was perfect for our girly weekend away. The owners were on hand if there was anything we struggled with and came to assist when we needed it. The location and setting is beautiful and would highly recommend for a nice chilled get away.
We had a great stay at the Coach House with the Family and grandchildren, the hobbie hut area is fantastic shame about the weather in the evening to enjoy fully. We recommend their hand book is updated with more details for local shops and correct prices for their Cider which we did enjoy over all a great holiday.
Fantastic accommodation and facilities. Everything you need for a chill out time. Hosts were excellent. Special thanks for the emergency food when the Morrisons order did not turn up.
Elizabeth
We had a great stay. The chill out space is absolutely fantastic and really made our stay very relaxing. We felt that the property was well catered for and you have really thought about everything that was needed for a lovely stay, which was much appreciated. Some parts of the property are looking a little tired and may need a freshen up, but that certainly didnt detract from our time there. Many thanks
Absolutely unreal place that was perfect for a cozy break away! Will definitely be back!
Gordon
The Coach House was an excellent place for our family holiday and Suzanne and Dave were very helpful with all aspects of our stay.
Frances
We had a fantastic weekend in the property, beautiful house, amazing facilities and lovely owners. Thank you!!
Josephine
A very pleasant property with spacious grounds and friendly, responsive owners. It was as wonderful as the listing described. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the huge electric hot tub listening to the birds in the tall trees. Being so large the covers are heavy and need two people to remove them. I mention this as my husband and I are in our seventies and beginning to realise that the time may come soon when we wouldn't be able to manage lifting them. Our only problem was that the house instruction booklet that would have been helpful to read on arrival had been put on top of the tall fridgefreezer and not found by us until we were leaving. We also found no instructions on using the induction hob and electric ovens which, when you are used to gas, is not as blindingly obvious as everyone who has electric ovens seems to assume. We also didn't discover the lock on the stable door entrance to the house until towards the end of our stay.
Charlotte
The owners were friendly and made themselves available if they were needed which wasnt necessary as everything was great but they were very accommodating nonetheless. We were impressed with the accommodation and facilities at the property. Thank you for a lovely family break.
This is a fantastic place to stay for a group of people sleeps 10. Great farm house in a fantastic setting with great facilities and with some interesting sight seeing destinations not too far away. We are considering booking again as we liked it so much.
Lovely property, would recommend. Nice place to catch up with friends, suitable for little ones with cot and high chair and stair gate. Plenty of car parking, very cool hot tub area with chill out room, well stocked kitchens little one loved seeing the alpacas too! We had a lovely stay, thank you very much.
What a fantastic venue for an extended family celebration. The house was exactly as described with the added bonus of the chill out area. Location was ideal to your the area. Will certainly recommend this wonderful property
We had a fantastic time staying at The Coach House. It was a lovely house, really clean with everything we needed. The facilities, such as the hottub, sauna and BBQ pit were amazing, clean and well looked after. Suzanne was lovely and kind and really quick to respond if we had any questions. We also loved making friends with her gorgeous dogs and alpacas! It was a great stay!
It was a really nice relaxing time and the owners were very helpful. Would highly recommend.
A very lovely cosy house and super outdoor space The whole family loved it
Jacqueline
No complaints at all. We enjoyed a lively few days in a lovely property with excellent facilities.
Lovely house. Well stocked and plenty of room for 10 people. New furnishings exceptional quality and tastefully decorated. The chill out area was fantastic. Photos need updating on site to show the improvements. We had a family get together which was much needed and this house was an excellent choice. We all enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Suzanne and David
Georgia
We had a brilliant time staying in the coach house. We had everything we needed in the house, it was warm and inviting and we loved the dogs. The big one came in the house a few times for cuddles!
Myself and my family stayed here for 1 wk, n wot can I say but fab fab fab, the house is a lovely looked after home, disabled facilities from downstairs bedroom to walk in shower, wide doorways too, lovely cosy beds, the kitchen n lounge was great and big, everything was stocked well from dishwasher tabs to bacterial wipes, 2 ovens, washer, dryer, dishwasher, family was so happy with their rooms too, there was a gud sized fridge freezer for the necessities, outside area was fab brill parking for alot of cars too, the hot tub area all I can say is wow wow wow, from the sauna, hot tub and the chill out area was more than welcoming, the hot tub fit us all in at same time n kept its warmth all the time, we cooked over fire pit in the chill out area too, facilities there again was great, n included bathroom too, everything there was well taken care of, n maintained,, nothing negative about the chill out,, there was crocs to use if needed, in the house 2 files to read is a must, this gives every bit of info you will need in the stay, local supermarkets too, n lots of areas to look, The owners are only a phone call away for any problems which we don't need to contact, before we left we left we ensured we cleaned n tided the house. In same condition as we found it,, me for 1 wud love to b able to just pack up n holiday there in the future, n wud defo recommend to all to take a hol there too, lovely important memories made for us all,, BTW a lovely oldish dog, came round a few times to see us he was so friendly n even my granddaughter got over her fears of dogs, so don't have any doubts just book it,
The house itself is lovely, me and some friends went on a long weekend like we have many times before. The outside space is excellent and so much fun and we had a fab time in the hot tub. The downside for us was the house has mice. The first mouse we saw was crawling on the kitchen side, then next time was in the shower and escaped at the back of the toilet. Then at night you can hear them running around in the ceiling. Some people say in the countryside you can expect mice, but for me they shouldnt be in the house. The rodents are clearly finding a way in and that needs addressing as after we saw the mice we couldnt relax and we scared all the time. I cant fault the owner for coming straight down after we saw the first one, which we carried out in the bread bin. He then put a few traps down but the weekend was really quite upsets for me as I have a real fear of mice.
The Coach house is a large property ideal for celebrations or multi generation family groups. The listing could do with updating to reflect it now has a superb electric powered hot tub rather than a wood powered one. The chill out area really made the property. Some shade would be useful as we were there in a very hot sunny week.
William
We had a fantastic weekend at the Coach House. The facilities more than exceeded expectations. The chill out area was brilliant. We wish we had more time there to explore the area. Dave and Suzanne were exceptional hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. I cant recommend this properly highly enough.
The property and facilities were fantastic. Owners very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Sandra
Sorry. The feedback should have been for coach house. This feedback is for Gardners cottage. Cottage was beautiful with stunning views of countryside. The owners and family were very friendly and helpful and our stay there was very enjoyable.
Deborah
Had a few problems with cleanliness on arrival but we're sorted out once pointed out. Shower leaked through the ceiling after first use but was fixed, hot tub didn't work, no bubbles was informed they are getting a new one in September! All that aside the house is lovely, great chillout area, house is in a lovely place although a bit remote.
This is our second time at the Coach House and Suzanne and David cannot do enough to make it special. There were big storms but we were cosy, warm and dry and the youth even tested out the Hot Tub. A special place even if the phone signal and the WiFi can be difficult.
