Glan Gors Reviews

Claire
We feel very lucky we found this property, it is remote, quiet, beautiful views and loads of space for our young kids to play safely. We stayed in February and loved the log burner and were lucky to get some snow which we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We would love to come back again.
Elaine
Such a great place to unwind and enjoy beautiful North Wales. Glan Gors had everything we needed and more! and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the bottle of Prosecco waiting in the fridge, the robes for the hot tub, flowers on the counter. Gorgeous duvets too! We hope to holiday here again.
Absolutely bloody perfect! We loved it here. If you like privacy, silence, dark skies, and a warm immaculately maintained and equipped house, then this is perfect! Set in a corner of a field away from everything, it is approached by a long offroad track don't moan about it it's long but totally worth it!, it is 100 private. It's a modern conversion a wellthought out property excellently equipped with genuinely everything you could need. The addition of a large hottub is the icing on the cake! The owners were brilliant, really responsive and whilst they live nearby we never got to see them, but I knew if we needed anything they were only an SMS away. The property has its own large garden and plenty of free parking. If you want anything you will have to drive, Denbeigh is 1015 minutes away and the North Wales coast 3045 minutes. The local area is stunning and there is so much to see in this part of the world. With the cottage I can't emphasise enough how clean and warm it was all of the time we went in October. It's underfloor heating is a joy in the mornings. Likewise the house is absolutely spotless you can see it's well looked after and that the owners take pride in the service they offer. It would be great for kids the garden is fenced in with nothing around you except fields and sheep! Have no qualms in recommending this cproperty and I definitely would be more than happy to go back. Thank you!
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Glan Gors. The place is immaculate with great attention to details. It had everything you could possibly want. The location is just perfect away from the hustle & bustle. Wed definitely return for another stay

The property and surrounding area is beautiful the house had everything and more even ride on toys for the children. The location is hidden away from anywhere its very quiet and peaceful words cant describe how nice it is. If only we could stay for 6 months
Glan Gors is a hidden gem. The setting is stunning and tranquil. Your only neighbours are sheep. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Sylwen and Bryn have thought of everything you would need to make it a home from home. It has everything you would have at home and everything is of the highest quality, beds, bedding, towels , kitchen equipment etc. The hot tub was a really special treat and the views from it are amazing. Sylwen and Bryn had also left us some milk in the fridge along with a bottle of fizz. Plenty of tea, coffee and sugar and some biscuits and fudge which was a lovely touch. I can honestly say it's the best place I have ever stayed in for quality and price and the cleanliness was second to none. Big shout out to whoever cleans it, spotless. I will definitely be back, can't wait.

I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely cottage. Our 2nd stay here with family. Owners are so friendly. Very well equipped with everything you need. Stunning views, surrounded by fields and sheep. Great location. The hot tub is the perfect place to relax and watch the stunning sunsets.
George
Loved the property and the tranquility, not to sure about the road to the property even though it mentioned a suitable vehicle I did not expect a 34 mile trip up a winding single track road which was actually just broken up concrete and bricks and potholes and sheep facaes ,waiting for the sheep to move to drive your vehicle either to or from the accommodation . But besides that an enjoyable experience
Sharon
The cottage is in a beautiful remote location, the views are outstanding! So peaceful. The cottage itself was also perfect with plenty of space. It was also extremely well equipped with everything you could need. The hot tub was a bonus too! Good communication with hosts too. Thank you
Superb! Amazing location with beautiful views. The cottage was very well appointed and spotlessly clean.
Claire
Beautiful property with amazing views. Very tranquil. Property is well equipped and very comfortable. We'd love to go back!
Matthew
Had a lovely stay. We had everything we needed. Owner very polite and welcoming. Views are beautiful. Nice and quiet location. Hot tub great addition. Lovely to see sheep around. Lovely and warm with the underfloor heating and open fire. Dont hesitate to book!
Absolutely loved our stay at Glan Gors. The owners of the cottage were lovely and couldnt have been more helpful. The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything needed for a trip away ! Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be booking again !
Louise
Lovely cottage, very homely and clean. Everything was as described on the listing. Hot tub was great and very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked making it easy to cook meals. Some furniture would do with replacing the draws in the bedrooms were a bit dodgy. And the boiler is noisy whenever the hot water is on. We hadn't realised there was only 1 shower and that was the downstairs bathroom. Upstairs is bath with handheld shower. We loved the spacious outdoor space plus a selection of ride on toys were appreciated by the kids. Lots of downstairs space for playing too. Some great days out from the location too all within an hours drive Penryn Castle, Llandudno, Llyn Brenig, BetwsyCoed, Rhyl, Zip World, Snowdon, Greenfield Valley Heritage Centre all made great daysafternoons out!
Had a lovely quiet peaceful time away, which was just what we wanted. Thank you for providing this.
Beautiful stay in remote location perfect for a family of teens with great internet connection we will be back
Lovely cottage in an idyllic setting with only sheep for neighbours. Perfect for anyone craving peace and quiet, although there are plenty of child friendly tourist attractions nearby. The hot tub with stunning views is a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back one day soon.
Claire
We have just returned from a week at Glan Gors, and what a fantastic week weve had. It was our first family holiday with our toddler twin boys and weve made lots of special memories. The surroundings are spectacular, the children loved being so close to the sheep and cows. The views of the hills are breathtaking and you will see some great sun sets and rises there. The property is very spacious and well equipped. Everything you need is there. Its located close to lots of towns and villages. We took trips to Llandudno, Rhyl, Portmeirion and Chester Zoo. The nearest town is Denbigh which is lovely and has everything you need. The hosts are fantastic and made sure we had all the information for our stay. We would highly recommend a stay at Glan Gors.
Absolutely stunning cottage and grounds! We have just returned from a week at Glan Gors, and I can honestly say it was the best uk holiday we have ever had. The cottage is so well equipped with the essentials and also a few luxury items, the hot tub was amazingly clean and the views were stunning. We had a few active packed days out with the children but it was lovely to come back to peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning at some point!!
We loved our stay at Glan Gors with its amazing views and truly out of the way location! Though our supermarket delivery did find us!! We enjoyed the lovely kitchendiner which was a great social space. The kitchen was very well equipped too and we enjoyed our meals and games nights round the large dining table. Our favourite room was the conservatory where we could sit and watch the changing weather across the hills and the sheep dotting the hillside. Views from the hot tub were amazing especially the sunsets!
This is a lovely cottage and ideal for people who want to relax and enjoy the countryside without interruption or intrusion. Despite being in a quiet location the property has been very carefully restored to modern standards. The hot tub is great and there is plenty of outdoor furniture for eating out and enjoying the sunset in the evening. With underfloor heating and a wood fire in the evenings you can't really go wrong it's a very cozy place. We are very much looking forward to going back again at sometime in the future.
Elaine
Lovely holiday home. Had a fantastic week with family. House is very clean and has everything you could need. Hot tub is wonderful with views over the hills and fields. Sheep and lambs are the nearest neighbours and no bother at all !! Loved going out for the day then having a dip in The tub after our meal followed by some board games around the kitchen table. Perfect. Would definitely recommend for others visiting the area. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Absolutely loved our stay here, the cottage is clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Views are amazing and sitting in the hot tub in the evening was perfect. Could not recommend this cottage enough and would love to return one day! Thankyou!!!
Stunning cottage. Very helpful and caring hosts.
Wonderful property with everything we needed. Beaitful scenery and a great base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. Owners were responsive when we had any questions. We'll be returning.
Stuart
This place was all we hoped it would be and more. Fantastic location. So peaceful and comfortable. There were treats on arrival which was a lovely touch. Such a treat to look out over the fields and hills whilst in the hot tub! Very relaxing.
Stunning cottage in an absolutely beautiful area with views to die for. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with a cold bottle of prosecco awaiting us in the fridge. Lovely dining table for meals and plenty of seating for chatting, watching TV or just snuggling with a good book. Bedrooms were beautifully clean, beautifully furnished and snug with bath robes ready for the hot tub. The only issues we had were the drive up to the property along the track. It was very off road so make sure you don't travel in a vehicle with a low suspension and the hot tub lid was broke so manouvreing it off and on was a little tricky. However, I would recommend this cottage in a heartbeat and would definitely return. We had a superb short break and arrived back home feeling refreshed and rested. Absolutely lovely!
Suzanne
We have just had the perfect weeks break away with another family of 3 at Glan Gors. Our boys are both 8 and loved the freedom and space to just be boys! It was a welcome break from the usual workfamily life stress as its so far away from anything else it truely is a getaway. We had some lovely days out Snowdon, Llandudno & Denbigh castle but also a few lazy days at the cottage making use of the BBQ, fire pit & hot tub. The sheep were a constant source of entertainment and conversation. The host was quick to respond to queries and very helpful. Thank you, I may have just fallen in love with Wales
Steffi
Honestly this is what everyone needs in this day & age, the tranquility and the peace & quiet is unrivalled. We had a couple of days out to the Mountain Zoo & Llandudno which was lovely but made it even sweeter to return to this paradise. Our 2 year old absolutely loved the freedom, slide & riding her bike around the garden. Great choice for families as well as adults wishing to relax. We will be back! Thanks so much.
Shirley
Fabulous location, beautiful property. Welcoming host.
Wonderful stay, beautiful location, views and hot tub! Loved the conservatory to sit and look out. The cottage just needed some maintenance with some ware and tear showing but otherwise great break.
Had a lovely stay with spectacular views, comfortable accommodation plus the bonus of a hot tub. We visited the local tweed mill shopping outlet, waterfalls and reservoir, all which had superb cafes. The shop has some great bargains, waterfalls were stunning and reservoir had a fab 1hour walk. We visited Llandudno and Conwy Bay too. BetwsYCoed is ok if you like a short amble round some shops and a station. At the back of the station is an interesting churchyard and little church, then at the back of that a stunning view of the river and beautiful scenery all around. Back at the cottage, it was fun walking the length of the driveway and back from the cottage, as its quite high up, so the scenery is beautiful. Once we got to grips with the hot tub and managed to turn it up from a cool 36 degrees, it was lovely to sit and admire the views, even though the weather was windy and cool. Sheep and lambs fed and played on the hills around and we saw buzzards from the track too. The driveway is stony but as long as you drive real slow its very doable. Local Morrisons and Aldi are 6 miles away. Some of the kitchen appliances need a bit of an update but are still functional and didnt distract from the enjoyment of the holiday. Bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of storage. The property is clean and the owner really polite and helpful. The cottage is alone on a hill, so theres plenty of privacy all around it. This makes for a nice holiday, especially suited for families who like to make their own entertainment. I appreciated there being no television except for a DVDTV player to watch films as it felt like a real holiday without one. WiFi is available and very reliable, so if you like tv its easily got through that. I would defo recommend this cottage.
George
Absolutely fantastic cottage. The facilities were superb. It had everything you would want and more. Very clean and tidy. The views are to die for. The hot tub was great as was the log fire. The owner was very friendly and always on hand to offer help if needed. Will definitely be going again. George and Caroline
Gaynor
Amazing comfortable home with spectacular views, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Only downside is the road to the property, brilliant instructions and found easily but very rough track that is steep, a low car may struggle to access and would be difficult in very wet weather.
Stephen
We enjoyed a peaceful week away, the cottage was everything and more we expected. Very clean, super comfy beds, wet room very handy. We had some lovely days out even though weather was a bit unpredictable, coming back to the hot tub was so relaxing after a long day out. We will most definitely be booking again, and really look forward to returning.
Elaine
Glan Gors is a wonderful house in the most amazing peaceful location. The house is very well equipped for all ages. The hot tub experience is incredible any time of day. You can bubble away with views to the mountains, beautiful sunsets and star gazing. We saw so many shooting stars. The children enjoyed the garden especially the ride on tractor. Plenty of places within 30 45 minutes to visit. We went to Llangollen, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Lake Brenig and climbed Moel Famau. The owners, Sylwen and Bryn were really friendly and helpful. We will definately be returning.
Superb cottage set miles from anywhere with amazing views, spacious cottage you couldnt want anymore if you are after a place to unwind!
Beautiful place & location. Everything is provided for & spotlessly clean. Ideal for visiting all the local places & to come back to the hot tub, with beautiful sunsets & many sheep! Thank you for having us GG.
Michelle
The place was lovely all you could see was fields and mountains, yet it wasn't far to anywhere, so peaceful. We had a resident squirrel and all kinds of birds flying over. The outdoor furniture was all modern and comfortable and inside was well equipped. We had a great stay and would go back again. Thanks
