The Barn Reviews

What a fantastic place to stay . We had a four day break mid April and enjoyed every minute . Phil and Lisa went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and the information pack was very informative with even downloaded menus from all the local pubs. We will definitely be back soon.
We had an amazing stay at the barn. Its the perfect place to relax and unwind. The decor and furnishings are modern and cosy and the hot tub and summer house have amazing views. The little touches by the owners were lovely too. We had a few trips out to local towns but there really is no need to leave as the barn has everything you need.
The Barn was an amazing find and what a lovely hideaway place for a few days. The Barn was well appointed and had all that we needed, the hot tub was fantastic, even in November, the views were incredible. The walks were breathtaking and we had a lovely time celebrating our birthdays. Thank you and we hope to come back in the Spring.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful What a fabulous stay, at a gorgeous barn in a spectacular part of the country. The copyhouse barn we stayed in is luxurious with all the little sweetest touches thought of. From Nespresso pod and machine, to robe and slippers for the hot tub very state of the art, and clean!!!, welcome drinks and all the kitchen utensils you could need. Even a washer and dryer you can use. The attention to detail is out of this world, combined with the kindest hospitality from Lisa and Phil and gorgeous fields and landscape. Also very doggy friendly our pup loved it here. We cant wait to come again soon!!! Thanks so much xx

We had a brilliant stay in the barn. It was really well looked after and we felt really comfortable during our stay. It was everything we needed for a relaxing few days away. The dog also had a great time as when we arrived she was met with a bag of treats
The most relaxing week ever. Didn't need to leave the Barn as it had everything and more. Our dog absolutely loved the field to run about in and play. Hot tub was great. The Barn was better than the pictures on the site we loved it we only ventured out once and not too far as it was a bit too hot for our dog. Lisa and Phil were lovely and the extra touches made it very special thankyou . Would highly recommend
Chelsea
Absolutely amazing place. Place is just as describedpictured. Lisa was amazing and really helpful. Would 100 go back!

We had a lovely stay at The Barn. Sue and Phil were very helpful and welcoming. The hot tub was dreamy! We'll definitely be back.
We have stayed in several Sykes Cottages all over England and Wales, The Barn is a jewel in their crown. The Barn and its location are stunning the photos online dont do it justice. The hot tub was a treat after walking miles around the Dales. Our hosts were very welcoming, and the whole experience enabled us to completely relax and unwind.
We had the best time. The property surpassed our expectations and they were high! It was just pure bliss. Lisa and Phil put so much love and thought into this place to make it feel like a home from home! Even our dog Loki was sad when leaving! He had the best walks following their suggested routes. Thank you, well definitely be back! Winter done! Now Spring Summer!
Lisa and Phil have fashioned a wonderfully stylish yet cosy conversion, and staying here for a long early Winter weekend provided us with an incredibly memorable break. If you want to literally escape from everything then this really is the place to come. The views and vibes up in the hills are incredible, the inside of the Barn and the hot tub are of a very high standard both from a design and a practicality perspective and the little welcome touches and incredibly detailed manual show how much care is made to ensure guests have a wonderful time. The heating options, the bathroom facilities and the kitchen are all spoton. Lisa and Phil are a super friendly couple we bumped into them both a couple of times but if all you want is seclusion then you should find this here in spades too do be aware there are also two separately bookable luxury shepherd's huts onsite. The location is remote but not impossibly so both Skipton Old Road and Bleara Road were navigable in poor weather although I'd recommend planning your routes and not relying on your Sat Nav in wintry conditions as it's every bit as hilly around as you'd imagine. In fact when staying here you really do feel 'on top of the world' in all ways! We'll definitely be back to see how the place compares at other times of the year
We had a lovely stay, very clean and everything was top spec, barn was cosy and comfortable, hot tub was needed after long walks in a beautiful part of england. Hosts were lively & friendly. Welcome pack went down a treat. Would definitely recommend.
What an absolutely fantastic place to stay. After a long week at work this was the perfect place to be, we both agreed we'd never felt so relaxed. They were so welcoming and friendly, the barn is beautifully laid out we've definitely got some ideas for when we renovate our living room. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and they give you plenty of options for drinks that suit any need, and the dog treats went down extremely well with our pup. The facilities were top notch, especially the hot tub, we even braved the cold shower! They have a guide with how to work every appliance as well as suggestions for local walks, attractions and restaurants that we found very useful. I would recommend the barn to absolutely everyone, although don't book up all the spaces because we will definitely be going back!
Lovely place, beautiful scenery and area, loved my time here.
Amanda
Excellent location, picturesque and peaceful. First impressions were WOW. The added touch of the gift and welcome package was a wonderful surprise. The facilities were to a high standard and maintained. Will definitely be returning.
Jessica
We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is so clean and modern but still with a countryside feel. In such a beautiful location. Such amazing support if we needed anything we knew we could get in touch with the owners for whatever we needed. Highly reccomend!
Wow! What a place! ! Lisa and Phil are both very friendly and welcoming and always on hand should you need anything throughout your stay. It is located in the most peaceful location with stunning views over the hills. Inside The Barn, the decor is stylish yet cosy, the bed is comfy, it was exceptionally clean, and there is everything you could possibly need they really have thought of everything! Outside there is parking and a terrace containing a fire pit, hot tub, and sun room which are additional luxuries! We cannot wait to return! Thank you xx
Lesley
Place is amazing, bed so comfortable. Lisa and Phil so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.
Absolutely amazing stay in the barn. Phil and Lisa really went above and beyond with everything. Very nicely decorated and very cosy. Perfect for a relaxing break. It is ideally located in a peaceful location with great views from the hot tub and the owners put a lot of effort into a welcome booklet containing local walks, takeaway menus, and general info about the cabin and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again.
Great place to stay for a relaxing break. Immaculate and well equipped accomodation with lovely views, good walks and a fantastic hot tub. Hosts, Phil & Lisa were welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. 100 recommend.
Yvonne
Phil & Lisa were fantastic hosts, super friendly and always on hand if needed. We arrived late after a long journey from Cornwall and altho they were going out, Phil stayed behind to welcome us and show us all the features of the property. They have made a fantastic job of The Barn, beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Everything has been thought out with relaxation and comfort in mind. Toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, bread and butter were a welcome touch. Although there are two shepherds huts, as well as The Barn, consideration has been given to all 3 properties for privacy. The top deck with hot tub is such a lovely feature, with bbq, seating, shower and even a heated sun room with beautiful views over the countryside. Robes and slippers provided along with a lovely bottle of wine perfect. Some fantastic friendly pubs with good food nearby and plenty of great walks. Perfect home from home and another plus was being dog friendly and even Riley had some welcome treats. Many thanks Phil & Lisa, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend well done! Mick & Yvonne
Andrea
