Lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Well equipped and furnished, prepared to a high standard. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts who were keen to ensure that we were warm enough during the cold spell over new year. Great wood burner, nice views across the countryside. An excellent holiday destination for two.
Swallow Barn is an excellent holiday cottage in an ideal location for visiting both coasts of Cornwall it is situated in a quiet countryside location yet is easy to access without needing to drive along any long narrow roads. Easy parking is directly outside the Barn. The cottage has been tastefully renovated and is both comfortable and very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need for your stay. For visitors who enjoy walking the Coastal Path and empty beaches found during the colder months will find Swallow Barn well insulated and heated by a modern central heating system with the addition of a log burning stove the hot tub is also available if you wish to venture into the garden at this time. For summer visitors, the lovely south facing garden with sun loungers etc and hot tub will make their stay very relaxing without needing to take the car out for good walkers, Port Isaac is within walking distance along country roads. The owners live on site for advice and keep you well informed both before you arrive and during your stay by text messages but otherwise they will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. We found the cottage well stocked with every day consumables and an enjoyable treat on arrival.

A great place to stay. Extremely warm and comfortable property for 2 people. Lovely welcome pack with home made cake on arrival. Very peaceful and quiet and a great location just off the A39 and close to Wadebridge. Frank and Kay are wonderful hosts and make sure you have everything you need. Our first time here but definitely wont be our last

We had a very pleasant stay at Swallow Barn. The property was very much as expected clean, comfortable and in easy reach of the delights of North Cornwall. Would highly recommend!
Swallow Barn was wonderfully furnished. TVs in lounge and bedroom. Kitchen was extremely well kitted out everything had been thought off. Owners on site and available should you have a problem. Introduced themselves and gave advice and hints on the property. Cream tea on our arrival was very thoughtful and delicious. No one could not fault this property.
The most comfortable, home from home place I have stayed in. Quality furniture and fittings, comfortable bed , big bathroom, with a triangular big bath and a large walk in shower. The modernised kitchen and main living room were bright and cheerful too.
We had a lovely time at Swallow Barn it had everything we needed. Never been to a cottage that provided so many little touches like shampoo conditioner body cream flannels etc. Also has a lovely little garden with comfortable chairs to sit in the sun. Kitchen was well equipped and the lounge had very comfortable seating. Even has access to Netflix which was handy on a rainy day. Lovely cake on arrival and milk in the fridge. Highly recommended.

Lovely barn conversion lovely situation and the owners were so helpful.
Our fourth visit which says it all! Thanks frank and Kay.
We had an excellent stay in Swallow Barn which actually has real live Swallows flying around in the sky above! ! Perfect size for the two of us with absolutely everything we needed, including good Wifi and parking.. The garden is immaculate and the views across the valley are spectacular. The owners, Kay & Frank, were the perfect hosts. A brilliant holiday. Thank you.
We enjoyed a truly memorable week at Swallow Barn enhanced by fantastic weather. The cottage is set in a quiet location off the beaten track in a quadrangle of renovated former farm buildings and has a beautiful private rear garden .

This is a fabulous property which was easy to find as its only a short distance from the A39. The property is extremely well equipped and the owners have gone that extra mile to think of everything a guest would need during their stay. The secluded garden is very well kept with lovely views across the countryside. For us the location of the property was well placed to enable us to drive fairly short distances in order to access the South West Coastal Path.
Great hosts Frank and Kay. This was are 3rd stay at Swallow Barn. Just know when you arrive the second you walk through the door, your holiday has started. Beautiful after noon cream tea, all ready to go. Thank you Kay. With many other treats to start your holiday, just so thought full, fresh garden flowers, super private garden, shows Franks joy of gardening. Beautiful view's. Just gorgeous
Nothing was to much for Frank, he made sure we wanted for nothing, keeping us going with a ready supply of wood for the hot tub. So relaxing an totally worth the treat! The cottage was larger than we expected and we wanted for nothing plus there were extra towels and dressing gowns. The afternoon tea with delicious lemon drizzle cake was a lovely and very welcome surprise after the long journey. We stayed over Easter and the Lindt Bunny was an extra treat. Location is very central for all the local tourist spots but you have the seclusion and privacy if you just want to relax. Were so glad we chose Swallow Barn and one we will look to return to in the future. Joe & Jane, April 2025.
Louise
We couldn't have wished for a more comfortable, cosy cottage to stay in. Very well equipped, good attention to detail and very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a perfect week's holiday at Swallow Barn.
This property suited us perfectly and we greatly appreciated the care, attention to detail and effort that the owners have clearly put in to making it such a lovely base for exploring N. Cornwall.

Swallow Barn is incredible, set in beautiful Cornish countryside and with so many beautiful seaside towns just 20 mins away in any direction. The barn itself is a home from home with all that is needed for a perfect holiday. Frank was excellent and in contact on the run up to our stay and then during our stay. Our third time of staying at Swallow Barn! Frank and Kay are the perfect hosts.
Disappointed about the hot tub this is mostly why we chose swallow barn, unfortunately it was leaking and was not really suitable to use.
The cottage was beautifully presented, and had obviously been converted to a very high standard. We lacked for nothing everything we could possibly need had already been thought of. Milk and the home made cake on arrival was a lovely touch. The owner was there to greet us and readily contactable if needed. We loved the peace and quiet which Swallow Barn Cottage provided. The secluded garden, with its' far reaching views of the Cornish countryside, was an added bonus. We would definitely return and would highly recommend this property.

The owner of the house was very helpful when we had a small problem Everything ... The owner of the house was very helpful when we had a small problem Everything was fixed that day with no problem and what a nice guy We had a great holiday and we will be going back again and again
A great converted barn with a delightful garden, in an attractive part of Cornwall, with helpful and friendly owners, resulted in having a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Property is extremely well equipped and was beautifully warm even though the weather was rather chilly. Only minor issue is that the sofa and easy chair are rather low and difficult to get up from if you elderly unfitarthritic like me but most will have no problems. Reassuringly the bed is no problem as well as being extremely comfortable. Would we go again. Yes, but I would probably bring a portable chair with me.
Lovely and relaxing, and with a hot tub to savour. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Lots of places to visit , some only short drives away. We have visited before,
Very well equipped cottage with fabulous views. Lovely welcome with special touches like home made cake, fresh flowers & milk. Will be back..
Taylor
Gorgeous little cottage which in fact was not actually so little! The rooms were very open and spacious yet felt so homely and warm especially when you light the log burner in the living area. Had absolutely everything we needed which was delightfully unexpected. Even the kitchen was very well stocked we didn't need to bring half of the stuff that we did with us! Even equipment such as rolling pins, weighing scales and a food processor provided, which goes above and beyond what we were expecting and was very exciting for two chefs haha. The bed was so comfortable, had a great nights sleep every night after venturing out into some of the beautiful places Cornwall has to offer in the surrounding area. We even purchased some birdseed to fill up the birdfeeder in the garden as there were so many birds that came over robins, blue tits, sparrows they were such a joy to look at while sat in the living room, and also when in the hot tub. Huge thankyou to the owners you have created such a wonderful space, we would definitely return in the future and recommend this stay to friends and family.
Robert
