Rose Hips Barn Reviews

Barbara
We had an amazing time at Rose Hips Barn! 5 adults, 3 children and a Yorkshire terrier and there was space for everyone! A shower for every bedroom and also a bath.couldn't ask for more. Lovely and warm on the cold days with the underfloor heating. There was plenty of outdoor space for the children to play and run around, which they loved. There was everything you might need in the kitchen to feed a hungry crowd. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.
Jackie
We thoroughly enjoyed our family get together at Rose Hip Barn, it had everything we could want, was clean and cosy. Location was great too
We had a lovely preChristmas get together with family at Rose Hips Barn, with many thoughtful touches from the owners, including welcome goodies and splendid Christmas decorations. The accommodation is wonderful, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and we easily prepared large meals for ourselves. The bedrooms are great, and we will definitely come back next time we have a family get together in Lancashire. Our dog had a lovely time there too!
Daniel
Superb property. Beautifully decorated, spacious and equipped with everything for our stay. Fantastic, quiet rural location but only a few minutes drive from Chorley town center. Will definately return
Anthony
Super family property in a great location.
We live in the US and this was our second time staying at Rose Hips Barn while visiting family. It was a wonderful experience both times. Very well equipped, very clean, cozy vibes and amazing atmosphere and views. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
A lovely cottage, warm, clean and comfortable with everything needed. Lovely views and pleasant garden.
Lovely property, amazing views and very friendly owners, we could not have asked for a better stay.
Very comfortable, spacious accommodation ideal for a family gathering such as ours. Wonderful location too
Anthony

Elizabeth

Andrew
This is the fourth time we have stayed at Rose Hips Barn. The host is excellent and extremely responsive to any questions. It is a fabulous property and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Andrew
This was our third stay at Rose Hips Barn, It really is a fabulous property and I would have no hesitation in recommending it or Sykes Cottages to anyone.
Rose Hips Barn is a lovely place to stay. The location is excellent as it is surrounded by beautiful countryside yet it's only a short drive to a busy town with a railway station, supermarkets and cinema. The barn is very spacious, with excellent views over fields to the nearby hills. The rooms are all large and all facilities are available and well maintained. Apart from the main bedroom the rooms upstairs do not have good views, but there is plenty of light from rooftop windows. We had a small problem with the owner's two dogs who barked and howled when they were left alone but they were quiet in the evening so it wasn't too much of a problem. Some storage space in the family bathroom would be appreciated as there's nowhere to put toothbrushes etc. On the other hand there's loads of storage space elsewhere in the house. I would recommend this barn to anyone who would like to spend some time in this area.
We had the most amazing week at Rose Hips Barn. The barn is absolutely lovely with everything catered for. The setting is idyllic with nice walks from the front door. Thank you.
Andrew
This was our second time at Rose Hips Barn we could not have been happier. It is a wonderful property!!
Jennifer
Lovely stay at Rose Hips barn. The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. Great location. I would stay here again and highly recommend this charming vacation rental.
Laurence
This is a great property though it isn't cheap, which makes a difference when you're assessing value for money. The space is very good and the setting is excellent. It would have been useful to have more notes relating to the house, eg how the heating could be controlled turned down!, how the cooker worked, but it was a perfect place for our group
Clean, comfortable, plenty of space. Everything that we needed was there to hand. Beds were very comfortable. Appliances were easy to use. People we encountered were very friendly. Lovely big field that we were allowed to walk our dog around and pet the horses. Absolutely stunning views. Only down side the heating was a bit too high and there were no instructions on turning it down to a more comfortable temperature. Apart from that we had a fabulous relaxing week away. We will definitely be returning in the future. Absolutely amazing!!!
Anthony
A fantastic large holiday home. It is perfect in every way we will be coming back for certain. Great location and beautiful countrywide, what else could one ask for.
We've just come back from a most relaxing enjoyable holiday at Rise hips barn. The accommodation was first class .clean comfortable and very spacious.plenty of room for all the ages that we're there . Luxurious linen and towels .and enough showers . The kitchen was comfortable and well equipped. But the best part was the views and surrounding areas .you felt like you were in the middle of mowhere not a house to be seen but yet only a few minutes away from the motorway which was practical and convenient. We made friends with the horses and enjoyed relaxing at the pond .the owners two dogs were very friendly .our hosts were there if we needed something but completely non intrusive . And leaving us the milk and biscuits made us feel very welcome . It is definitely a place we recommend and would like to come back to. Thank you
Rosaline
Really pretty barn in a beautiful location! Clean, quiet and idyllic. Perfect for family get togethers. Ample walks in local areas.
Hannah
Rose Hips Barn is a real home from home. It's really well equipped the kitchen had everything we needed, there were hairdryers in every room, even the dog was well catered for. My only negative was there was no travel cot and high chair which would've been really helpful when travelling already with lots of stuff but it didn't impact our stay at all and we would definitely stay here again. Beds were comfy, nearly all bedrooms had an ensuite, and the rooms were dark which helps putting kids to bed on light evenings. There was a utility with washing machine tumble dryer, a lovely outside area, beautiful views and great locality plus a friendly and warm welcome upon arrival and even a thoughtful welcome pack. Really couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for a Wonderful stay
A beautiful house in a gorgeous location. Wish we could have stayed longer
Great property well equipped, lots of space and very comfortable.
Exceptional accommodation in an exceptional location ticked all the boxes for us giving us an exceptional week away. Dog owners will love the beauty and variety of walks close by. Our grandchildren 8 & 9 are still talking about the two days they spent with us. They had a ball. Weather was kind to us for this time of the year and that helped but wasn't crucial as there is still lots to do. WiFi is not brilliant buck up BT ! but that didn't take anything away from our stay. Mobile signal is 4G and that is more than enough for daily activities.
Rosemary
Beautiful setting and beautiful accommodation which suited our family reunion perfectly. Lots of things to do and see in any sort of weather! Everyone had a lovely break and felt relaxed and at home. The dog loved the underfloor heating! Loads of parking and very private.
Graham
Had a great weekend in Rose Hips Barn. The property was extremely versatile for the family and their requirements allowing us all to be together informally and formally at meal times and with enough areas to allow quiet and calm when needed. It was very clean and the rooms ideal and very comfortable. I would stay there again
Tracey
Fabulous, comfortable, clean accommodation with all amenities. The welcoming gifts is a lovely touch and the underfloor heating is bliss. The sunrise in the morning is pretty spectacular especially with seeing deer walking across the garden. Great location to visit family nearby. Will be looking to return. Thank you Rose Hips Barn.
Rose Hips Barn is a fabulous house with plenty of room, inside and out, for a family holiday. The horses and chickens next door proved very popular with our grandchildren. The house is very well appointed, with everything you could need. We especially appreciated that most bedrooms were ensuite. The area itself is lovely, with great walks and Blackpool and the coast are only about 45 minutes away. I would thoroughly recommend this property.
The only fly in the ointment was the poor quality WiFi.
Kathryn
The cottage was beautiful, spacious, clean and plenty of homely touches. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. 3
Anthony
Superb property, good value for money.
Christopher
The only disappointment was we had to return to home. Rose Hip Barn is a beautiful place to stay, in stunning countryside with wonderful walks like White coppice waterfalls. We will be return
Patricia
We had a brilliant break in Rose Hips Barn The house was in a beautiful setting, so very well equipped, comfortable, had great views, ample parking. We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us Great setting for exploring the pennine walkseasy access to the lakes All in all a welcoming wonderful place Highly recommend
Ramanan
Loved the Barn. Ample space for the 7 adults and one dog who shared the home. The owners left a bottle of wine, bottle of milk and a selection of biscuits for us on arrival. The only disappointment was the BT WIFI, I believe BT need to do better. We hope to visit again sometime in the future.
Rebecca
Gorgeous converted barn with high quality fixtures and fittings. The beds were super comfortable! Easy to access the property with the instructions from the owner. The photos dont do this gorgeous property justice!
Angela
Owners were lovely and on hand but not intrusive in your face being close by. The barn was beautiful! Only downside was the wifi was a bit dodgy at times. Welcome hamper was a nice touch x
Lorraine
A fantastic cottage in beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped. Although we always go fully prepared for our dogs, re towels, dog beds, bowls, etc, the cottage had also provided everything for them, including treats! We were also given biscuits and wine, Which was a lovely touch. Would dedinately recommend this cottage.
