Pastures Barn Reviews

Sophie
We recently stayed at Pastures Barn as a celebration for my Mums birthday as family of 6 adults and 1 dog. Everything about it is perfect. We really loved the hot tub and sauna and the game shack is just brilliant. They have thought of everything! The location is amazing with stunning scenery all around and many great things to do and places to go nearby. The house is beautiful and very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. For our dog, it was great to have an enclosed patio and so many nice touches including towels, dog bowl and treats. He had the best time! Were so glad we found Pastures Barn. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to visit again in the future!
We had the most incredible weekend stay! Pastures Barn was absolutely perfect for our group of six adults and one dog. Every single detail was thought ofthe facilities were excellent, and the hosts didnt miss a single thing to ensure our stay was fun, enjoyable, and, most importantly, incredibly relaxing. We all left feeling completely refreshed. Our host was so welcoming and polite, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everyone including the dog! had a fantastic time. We couldn't have asked for a better getawayhighly recommended!
This place is stunning. The location and views are amazing with lovely walks. Theres everything you need to enjoy your stay and the games room is a game changer! We were able to make amazing memories with our family and would definitely return. Thanks Pastures Barn

An absolutely wonderful stay with our family in December. The place is amazing, clean, tidy and with everything you might need. The games room was an added bonus and the Christmas decorations were a lovely touch!

You couldnt ask for a better equipped kitchen. The facilities easily kept three generations entertained ! The games shack was fabulous.
What a wonderful place pastures barn is. Beautiful inside and out. Would highly recommend for the perfect retreat. It had everything you need and the games room was brilliant spend some memorable nights in there. Will definitely be booking to go back next year. Thank you so much xxx
We had a truly lovely stay at the Pastures Barn. From plentiful dog walks nearby to relaxing in the hot tub and sauna at the end of the day, it was everything we needed for a chilled, relaxing break. The barn itself had excellent facilities and really ticked all the boxes for comfort and convenience. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to unwind in the countryside with rolling hills all around you. We will be back soon to see the highland cows, donkey again and the new addition soon Wallabies..

Pastures Barn is a fantastic place to stay. Maintained to a high standard, well equipped and comfortable indoors plenty of hot water and the showers were fantastically powerful. We were there during a heatwave so spent most of our time outdoors and that is where Pastures Barn really shines. As well as the hot tub, sauna and games shack, we enjoyed the versatility of the outdoor space. There was an enclosed garden with large garden table, a separate grassy area with a swinging chair perfect for chilling out enjoying the views with a morning coffee or an evening beer, and a breeze house where we enjoyed most of our meals. Mix in the opportunity to pet the friendly cows & donkeys and the tranquillity of the location, made for a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Hope to be back soon.
Pastures Barn is a truly lovely place to stay. The property is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and is very well equipped. The views from the barn are stunning. We saw some gorgeous sunsets and particularly enjoyed having a coffee in the morning while looking out at the highland cows, sheep and donkeys in the fields in front of the barn. The weather wasn't always brilliant while we were there but it really didn't matter, as there was plenty for the kids to do the games room was a big hit and the fab hot tub and sauna meant that the big kids were entertained too The location is great, it has a very rural feel but is close enough to local amenities to avoid feeling isolated. It is very close to the Peak District for walking and we had a lovely day out at Alton Towers just 20 mins drive away. The very welcoming hosts looked after our dog for us while we went to Alton Towers and very kindly sent us updates, pictures and videos of what a lovely time he was having. We had a fantastic break at Pastures Barn and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. We hope to return soon!
Melanie
Excellent place to stay. Comfortable. Clean. Great location. Had everything you need to relax and enjoy the beautiful location. Hot tub, sauna and outdoor areas are great. Inside has everything covered and very well done to a high standard. Only 2 of us stayed here so it was a little costly but we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. We will be back
Pastures Barn was just wonderful. We booked it for a family weekend reunion and we had a really memorable time. The house itself is gorgeous, 3 lovely bedrooms with super comfy beds, really nice lounge and kitchen with everything needed to cook and plenty of crockery and glasses! But the highlight was the amazing hot tub and sauna and the games room, we had such a great time in there. We even stood and watched a Barn owl hunting just outside the games room window one evening. It was lovely to see the donkeys, highland cows and swiss sheep in the fields and all the outdoor seating was another great touch. Thankyou for such a fabulous holiday.
The property was excellent fabulous anenities and attention to detail and comfort and even better than it looks in the listing pictures. Super views from the property, and while rural, it was also relatively close to shops so did not feel isolated. A great location for getting to attractions such as Chatsworth, Lyme Park, Dovedale, the Roaches, walks in the Peak District, the potteries of Stoke and Alton Towers. A fabulous property and location, I would highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay, it was spotless when we arrived and perfectly matched the photosdescription. The kitchen was really well stocked and had everything we needed to be able to cook everyday. There was even washing machine pods and dishwasher tabs provided.
A stunning property in the middle of the countryside. The property was classy, stylish and up to date while having cottage features throughout. The owners were friendly and welcoming , we are defiantly looking again. 1010

We booked Pastures Barn for my daughters 21st birthday celebration and I'm delighted we did. The place was amazing and didn't disappoint as we were especially keen on enjoying the Games Shack as a family. There's a great choice of games and it was great to see our children playing and enjoying the same games we did in our youth, rather faceplanted on their iphones for the duration. On arrival we were even greeted with a welcoming Valentines assortment of bubbly, chocolates and rose petals on our bed! On our first night we struggled to get the hot tub going but the hosts came out and fixed it within 10 minutes which is indicative of the service we experienced from the hosts throughout our stay. In fact we were so impressed with the service of the hosts and the place itself that I have recommended this place to family, friends and even clients.
Jessica
The most beautiful stay! Everywhere is so quiet and peaceful, the barn was absolutely spotless and they really had thought about everything you may need The games room is so fun! We stayed for 4 nights and didnt want to leave
Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Location is amazing helped by lots of snow the house is the best we have stayed in plenty of space and everything you need and the games room topped it off along with the hot tub in the snow.
We had a wonderful week at Pastures Barn. The house was clean and well equipped, especially for children and dog owners. Jo and Giles provided dog beds, towels and throws for the furniture and the artificial grass in the gated patio area meant the dogs paws were clean if they nipped out for a wee. Outside the gated patio was a larger section of grass, great for garden games, which were stored in the shed. The games room was a fantastic addition to the accommodation, we spent hours playing pool, darts, fussball, air hockey, table tennis and singing on the karaoke. The hot tub and sauna were lovely for relaxing in. Additional towels were also provided for the hot tub and sauna. The gates at the top and bottom of the stairs gave us reassurance that the dog couldnt sneak up the stairs and the toddler couldnt sneak down without our knowledge. This allowed us to sleep well in the comfortable beds. We also took advantage of the dog sitting service so we could have a family day out to Alton Towers. Jo sent me a couple of reassuring messages throughout the day and our 15yearold Collie was very content in their home. In addition to Alton Towers there are some lovely places to visit. If you like a market day, head to Bakewell on a Monday. Monkey Forest and Trentham Shopping Village are about 40 mins away and worth a visit. Closer to the barn there is a large park, caf and beautiful walks at Tittesworth Wate
What a wonderful stay we had at Pastures Barn. The facilities are fantastic and the barn is beautifully decorated, with high quality furnishings. We all slept so well on super comfortable beds in the most peaceful surroundings. The evening sunsets were a delight as were the views. We made use of the sauna, hot tub and games room daily. We had the pleasure of meeting Jo and the giant fur babies which we loved. Our stay was so enjoyable we will be booking to return with more of our family in Pastures Barn and Parlour Barn next year and we cant wait. Every thought had been put into making our stay fantastic, Jo and Giles have created a very special place that is perfect for making memories whatever the weather.
The property and facilities were awesome. It had everything we needed for a relaxing break away. The property was clean and well decorated. The sauna and hot tub were just what we needed and what can I say about the games room it was just the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this property and would definitely go back.
Lovely house, lots of extras and we had a wonderful despite bad weather.
Pastures barn is a beautiful property, decorated to a very high standard, clean and attention to detail perfect. The facilities were excellent and all set in a lovely part of the peak district. An absolute gem! The Barn has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and inside is such a warm and welcoming interior , The kitchen has everything to cook meals and is cosy to sit at the large table and chat and all the rooms are individually tasteful. There is a lovely sauna and the hot tub was great after a long day's walking. The Games Shack was fantastic with numerous games and entertainment. A truely amazing place to spend a few days with the family and dog.
