Middle Barn Reviews

A very comfortable, warm and well equipped cottage . Toys were a hit with my granddaughter and she loved feeding the chickens. Great to see the deer in the garden . The hot tub was much appreciated by the adults . Host was friendly and responsive
Andrea
4 generations of our family spent 3 days at Middle Barn and had a great time. Beautiful, cosy accommodation with great views of the Worth valley. Private garden with hot tub. We could see the steam train go on its way along the track from the front and had deer and chickens roaming about outside, the deer even visited the back garden. If you want to venture out go to Keighley or Hayworth. Also a round trip on the steam train most enjoyable. Would definitely return and recommend.
Lovely property in a perfect location! Had everything you needed. Beds were lovely and comfortable. The chickens and deer were an added bonus! We will be back
Debora

This was a perfect weekend get away with my friends! It offered the best location for four friends from London, Leicester, Liverpool and Glasgow to meet for the first time! We wanted somewhere central of the UK that fit us all and this place was perfect! The surrounding area was filled with activities for everyone we had so much fun! It was lovely as well to see wild deer, chickens and horses literally on the front door step! The place gives a lovely home feeling that so comforting in the evenings! I could not recommend this place enough! 1010 isnt a high enough rating honestly!!!

The cottage is situated in a lovely spot, gorgeous views, loved seeing the steam train go past and the family of deers coming to visit. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Everything you could need was thought of. Would highly recommend.
We all had a fantastic weekend the accommodation suited all our individual needs. We had a great relaxing time as a family and it accommodated all eight of us so easily. it is good having facilities on the ground floor to accommodate anyone with a mobility need. The views were so beautiful and open and it was lovely seeing the changes with the weather. The house is near to Haworth and other surrounding areas to visit so lots to do during your stay. The bonus is the relaxing hot tub and the cosy wood burner at night it felt home from home and allowed us to have quality family time together. Bev was a kind responsive host and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this accommodation especially if you want to stay, in a quiet country area with magnificent views but also not to far from other amenities and beautiful places to visit. Thank you Bev for allowing us to stay and we will definitely consider your home again when we are all together visiting the area. Kind regards Ann and Family
We had a great time at Middle Barn. The property was much larger than expected and had everything we needed for the weekend the photos don't do it justice. Plenty of space for a group of friends. Having a hot tub was the icing on the cake. The extra touches left by Bev fresh eggs and fizz were greatly appreciated.

We loved the cottage. Lots of room and very comfortable. Well equipped and maintained, and spotlessly clean on arrival. Communication with Bev was excellent and we enjoyed seeing the animals and the birds in the garden. Also loved the hot tub after long local walks. We would happily recommend Middle Barn to anyone.
We all had a lovely stay at Middle Barn . It was enough space for all of us with comfy beds . The scenery of the steam train on the weekend was lovely , I took my Mum out on it Mother's Day in her wheelchair . Enjoyed the deer and chickens around the barn . The hot tub was beautiful to relax in at the end of a day out in Skipton , Ilkley and Otley . The owner of the Barn was very helpful if we needed anything , thankyou for a lovely break x
Philip
We had an excellent stay at Middle Barn cottage and can highly recommend the property. There were many personal touches that made us feel welcome and added to our stay, such as a courtesy call on our day of arrival, fresh eggs and some wine set out for us, the cot we requested fully set up with bedding, and toys set out in the child's playroom when we arrived. The dual sitting rooms are perfect for a mixed family setup, with a child's playroom and larger living room next door, and the kitchen is big enough to host everyone at mealtimes. The bedrooms are cosy and there is more than enough storage for an extended visit. The garden is private and pleasant, and the hottub is an excellent bonus. A few tips for anyone booking a stay The road down to the property is narrow, steep and potholed, but can be navigated without trouble by driving carefully at low speed. There is enough parking for at least 3 cars right outside. Food delivery and taxi firms found the cottage without too much trouble. Upstairs and downstairs have separate heating controls, and we found that upstairs became too hot at night if you increased it above 16 degrees. Many thanks to Bev for the hospitality and ideal location during our visit to the area!
Christine
We had a wonderful stay ! Exceeded our expectations ! Bev ,super friendly ,and great help with suggestions for places to visit with children on a wet day !!! Hot tub was a big hit ,especially with the children ! Cosy get together for the family .The steam train passing ,the hens to be fed ,ponies ,deers ,what a find ! Some ongoing work at front of property ,was a bit off a shock at first ,but soon forgot about it ,and work to improve the entrance rd has to be done sometime ! The back garden more than makes up for it !!! The barn itself was spotless ,with everything you would need ,including toys !!!! Magical special break for us all .Thank you x
Lovely place ideal for group booking

Michelle
Had a wonderful stay with my family, the cottage was deceiving looks smaller from the outside Than its actual siz, my family of 8 had plenty of space and we wasnt all on top of each other. Had everything we needed for a weeks stay. My granddaughters loved it so much they did not want to leave and are still asking to go back.
Yhe 6 of us girls recently stayed here for two nights July 2023. The cottage was spotless and set up beautifully
Rebecca
Absolutely fabulous stay would 100 recommend!
Stephen
A very clean and comfortable cottage. Bev was a lovely person and made us all feel really welcome
Lovely spot over looking the valley and the steam train line at the bottom. Quiet and relaxing. Owner Bev lives next doors and is absolutely lovely and helpful but let us get on with our weekend. The house was clean, spacious and tidy. Hot tub was a welcome addition. Slight issue with the back patio door a few times, on the last night and morning we couldnt open it to get out to the garden but when I text Bev, Chris came round to fix it. Would definitely return a great spot for walking and enjoying the area. 25 minute walk into the centre of Haworth.
Lovely cottage and owner, beautiful area to stay
Stephanie
In general, we find the accommodation very comfortable. Our disappointment is the amount of rubbish debris left in the surrounding areas.
Robert
I booked middle barn for a surprise birthday getaway for my partner. The location is breathtaking, the cottage itself was absolutely spectacular. We settled in as though it was our own home. Very cosy, warm and inviting, with everything we could possibly need provided. Absolutely perfect setting for a break. We were even provided with a tub of feed for the resident deer and chickens. Absolutely full marks, will definitely be coming back again. And again.
Karenna
The cottage was fabulous, so homely and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It had everything we needed and more. The kids playroom was a massive hit with the kids, the hot tub was amazing and the cosy living room was so comfy. Bev was excellent in communicating with us and sorting out any minor issues. Would highly recommend!
Great cottage in beautiful setting and owners super friendly
Catherine
We had an absolutely brilliant weekend at the barn. Bev messaged to check we were all ok when we arrived and asked if there was anything we needed. There was a welcome bottle of wine and coffee etc provided. The cottage is cosy and the view is beautiful. We loved the chickens and deer that were walking around outside too. It was a lovely walk into Haworth and Oakworth and we are very likely to return again
