Fair Lea Barn Reviews

Roshni
We stayed here for a week as a family of 6 including a 6 month old baby. We could not fault it. From the first step into the property, it was warm, welcoming and homely. It was very spacious and fully equipped. There is a large seating area outside and it has beautiful touches. We would definitely go back and recommend.
A beautiful cottage with great facilities. Would absolutely recommend!
Lovely place to stay, spacious and well equipped. Generous welcome pack. Not entirely suitable for the elderly. 90 year old mum had problems either shower, bathroom sinks no plugs and sofas too low no armchairs. My fault, should make more detailed checks before booking. But all in all, warm and comfortable
We stayed at Fair Lea Barn over Christmas, and it was honestly one of the best Christmases weve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the place felt so welcoming and festive. There was a Christmas tree already set up, and the whole barn had such a lovely seasonal atmosphere. The woodburning fire was a real highlight and made everything feel extra cosyit truly felt like Christmas. The barn was warm, comfortable, and perfect for spending quality time together. We even had friends come over, and they didnt want to leave at all I practically had to push them out of the door!. The owners were incredibly thoughtful and left a lovely welcome basket, which was such a nice touch. We absolutely loved our staylove, love, love Fair Lea Barnand we will definitely be back. Highly recommended..
Brilliant location excellent facilities and a really well presented accommodation.

Lovely big cottage in a quite location but easy access to main roads to get anywhere you wish too go . The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals with ,also lovely area to sit outside and watch the sun go downor have a BBQ The owner was very helpful and was able to sort out the only problem we had very quickly. Would recommend the cottage to anyone .
This is a wonderful, spacious, clean and well equipped property with plenty of character. The location is just right for a quiet stay yet within a short drive of facilities and easy reach of historic Lincoln. One of the best.
Fair lea barn is a holiday property of a very high standard. My family all enjoyed our stay. I personally found it a relaxing stay and would not hesitate to recommend to all.

Great hosts and beautiful barn conversion. Suitable for multi generation family holidays. Lots to see and do in the area.
Jackie
Lovely accommodation not far from Lincoln City Centre. It was well equipped and very spacious for 6 people. There was an amazing welcome pack when we arrived which was very much appreciated. The only down side is there is no Smart TV. We like logging into Netflix and watching films at night as we dont get chance at home. There is plenty to see and do around Lincoln. We had a very enjoyable week and we would come back.
A beautiful cottage, very comfortable with all the facilities you will need. The hosts had left lots of provisions, would definitely recommend.
Cynthia
A very well equipped and comfortable property. Everything you could possibly want or need was there including books and games for all the family. The hosts were very helpful and the welcome pack was a fantastic surprise, particularly the two pumpkins for the younger children. The house is well situated for visits to Lincoln , nearby Air museums and some NT properties.

Fair Lea Barn is everything you would hope for in a holiday let. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A beautiful large garden . A very peaceful and relaxing holiday. Would highly recommend.
Cottage really well equipped to a high standard. Jo was welcoming on our arrival and made us feel at ease. She responded quickly when we couldnt find a couple of things! The garden added to the appeal of the holiday.

We've stayed in a few places all around the UK and enjoyed ourselves, but Fair Lea Barn was something else. It's a beautiful converted barn, very luxurious yet very homely. We received a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and settled into the place easily. It was clean, bright and offered everything a family could ever image they would need and much more. The bedrooms were comfortable, beds and linen lovely quality. The bathrooms were delightful and the whole place gave us a sense of space and relaxation. We were a family of three generations holidaying together and we were never on top of each other. Lots of space, beautiful gardens and a lovely area to explore. The owners were friendly and informative. We all thoroughly enjoyed the week at Fair Lea Barn and would've happily stayed for longer. We are already looking at dates to return. Everything was as described, but with extra. Thank you having us and hope to be back soon.

Its not easy to get a 4 bedroom cottage at a reasonable price so we were pleased to find Fair Lea Barn for our annual old school friends trip. Well appointed and comfortable, the milk, bread and other treats were most welcome. Theres also plenty of parking which is important with larger properties. One minor issue was rectified within an hour and communication with the owners was excellent. We had a lovely relaxing weekend and would definitely recommend Fair Lea Barn.
Lovely barn and a great unexpected welcome pack when we arrived. We fit 6 adults, a 2 year old and an 11month old in comfortably. The barn is a great layout with a well kitted out kitchen. Lots of parking and a lovely garden. Great location to get into Lincoln too. We hope to return in the future
Very nice cottage with great facilities. Games and books provided. Spacious and lovely kitchen.
Fair Lea Barn is a lovely place for a family gathering, warm with a great kitchen, dining room and social space. The beds are comfortable and the bathroomswet rooms are great. Many thanks to Jo and Graham for the welcome pack!
Great place to stay, well equipped, comfortable, clean & modern And may ... Great place to stay, well equipped, comfortable, clean & modern And may thanks to owners Jo and Graham for decorating the house with wonderful Christmas decorations for our stay this was a really nice touch
The property was fantastic , perfect in every way from all the little touches and Christmas decorations put up . Kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed and plenty of space for all of us we had such a lovely time and cannot thank Jo & Graham enough for all the help before we arrived , you have a wonderful place which you kindly share thank you
A great property, spacious, clean and very comfortable especially for only two of us. Felt the owners really cared about us and our stay. The only comment I would like to make is that considering the amount of beds and therefore people it can accommodate the seating provided in the lounge and its layout I think could be problematic if fully occupied. For us it was perfect and this is probably the best holiday let we have had and would not hesitate to recommend it highly to anyone thinking of renting it.
Katherine
We stopped at fair Lea barn for 7 days it was better than described in the listings. We had a wonderful time there, being in the middle of September the weather was a mixed bag and we traveled to a few places in the daytime and settled in on the evenings at the house with plenty to do there plenty of games and books to read, when the sun was out and nice and warm we relaxed outside on the patio. We would highly recommend visiting fair Lea Barn and hope to return in the future. The hosts Jo and Graham left us lovely flowers and groceries for when we arrived and was on hand if we needed them. After arriving home I realised Id left my remote control and contacted Jo who said she would post it on to me. Thank you both for letting us share your wonderful property. Kath,Ray,Carol,Baz,Keith and Christine.
We spent a lovely comfortable week at Fair Lea Barn and the welcome pack and flowers were much appreciated. The Barn is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and showers excellent. We had great weather and were able to sit out in the garden on the comfortable garden furniture. The owners are on hand if you need anything, we had no problems, but its nice to know help is there if you need it. We would definitely recommend the Barn and hope to return soon. Thank you Jo and Graham for sharing your lovely Barn with us. Ann & Colin.
We had a great stay at fair lea barn, would highly recommend this place
Fair Lea Barn was a wonderful place to accommodate three generations of our family and I would highly recommend it. The property was well equipped and maintained with a huge garden in a peaceful setting. We loved our day trips and thoroughly enjoyed our evenings in the garden watching the birds, rabbits and squirrels. Jo and Graham were quick to respond to any questions and provided a generous welcome pack with flowers. We met both of them during our stay and they were delightful people.
The barn was beautiful, very well situated and very peaceful. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We would definitely go again.
Property was well equipped, comfortable and warm. The owners left a lovely welcome pack and beautiful flowers. They also dealt with any problems, small ones, fortunately, very promptly and efficiently. The house book was very comprehensive. We had a lovely time and hope to return soon.
We had a lovely family Christmas in Fair Lea Barn, we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect, even the Christmas tree and decorations. Wed love to return when the weather is a bit better so that we can spend time in the garden.
Malcolm
The first thing noticeable on arriving is the lack of garden, definitely a lot smaller than photos have you believe, i'd say by a good half. To the side is a building site, generally starting work about eight, there was no mention of such as any update to info given on website. There is also no mention of the railway line running through just beyond the bottom of the garden, trains thunder through both day and all through the night, you're meant to feel refreshed and recharged after a holiday, not after this one!! The barn itself was spacious and clean, although mattress in master bedroom was very much..roll together..and rather stained, could do with being replaced. Would i return, recommend, no.
Fair Lea Barn was just as advertised, a top notch rural stable conversion in Lincolnshire, out of town but near enough to all amenities. With all mod cons and everything you could wish for in a holiday home. The owners were not on your doorstep but near enough to help with any concerns. Lincoln has a lot to offer as a holiday destination especially with all of its history, its crowning jewel being Lincoln Castle dating back well over a thousand years. We enjoyed our stay. The only point of criticism we had was the building work going on in the house next door. To compensate for that the owners invited us for a complementary stay next year! Which we were delighted to accept. This is above and beyond what anyone could expect, and just goes to show the type of people you are dealing with. Thank you Jo and Graham we are very much looking forward to our stay next year.
Fraser
Delightful accommodation, welcome basket was a nice touch and much appreciated. Very enjoyable short break.
Absolutely fabulous! So much care and attention has clearly gone into every element of the barn and the experience. We cannot wait to come back.
Corrie
This is the most beautiful property we have ever stayed in. Decorated to a very high standard and simply perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and the welcome basket a delight. We enjoyed using the garden and watching the birds come and go. The area has many wonderful places to visit and we also just enjoyed walking out each day on a new route. Hope to return.
