Croft Cottage Reviews

Generally very happy with this cottage. Very comfortable and we had a great stay there. Only one major issue for me. Having a spinal disability, I often turn to having a hot bath for pain relief. The water was lukewarm, so no good for a bath. Otherwise, a lovely stay. Thank you.
Catherine
We were very happy with Croft cottage which was light and airy, warm, beautifully furnished and very well appointed. The outdoor grounds too were substantial and gave us chance to relax and play a game outside also.
Fabulous cottage! Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. Lovely and convenient location, although you can hear the A1 it wasn't intrusive.Lovely garden area.Would definitely come back. A few points to mention. The heating was very efficient but temperamental heating on at night as mentioned in our phone call May need someone to remove dead rabbit carcasses from garden as may upset some peoplechildren.
A lovely property, very well equipped and so welcoming. No complaints at all except for the matter of the underfloor heating which never kicked in, requiring greater use of the fire downstairs. If this was meant to be operational, it should have been more obvious how to activate it.
A very nice cottage, in a great location just outside Alnwick. We were a family of 4, and the cottage had everything we needed and plenty space. A great base for exploring Alnwick and wider Northumberland!
Elaine
Lovely accommodation in a peaceful setting within easy distance of Alnwick and other tourist attractions in the area.
It is a beautiful cottage, and very well appointed, and we were quite happy with the welcome box & cleaning supplies although a couple of tablets for the washing machine would have been nice. It was very easy to find, the Satnav took us right up to the door. We were a bit surprised to find that the cottage is set within a courtyard system with several other cottages on site it might be helpful if this could be clearly stated on the listing. We had a small problem on arrival, in that the family bathroom door was locked! We managed to open it, but the lock appears to be faulty. The listing does state that the property is close to the A1 but some of our party found the sound of traffic to be intrusive. These are only minor issues we had a wonderful time visiting the local area and enjoyed the garden, and would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage. Thank you.
We had a lovely stay at Croft Cottage. Everything was seamless. It was super easy to find, really close to amenities nice pub close by, Sainsburys, M&S foodhall, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc. and accessible to all the local attractionstourist spots. The cottage itself was beautiful, really spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We went with 2 families one of 2 adults 1 toddler & 2 adults 1 toddler1 infant. It was perfect for us, space to get travel cots in all bedrooms if needed. Loads of outdoor space, we were lucky with gorgeous weather and even had a BBQ. The kitchen had everything we needed, even plastic plates, some cutlery and cups for the kids. My only grumble would be they didnt have a stairgate although there were fixings on the wall which which suggested they have one, I tried to call but the phone system wouldnt allow me through to anyone to ask we coped without. But it would be helpful to have one, especially if a travel cots was requested or a high chair. Otherwise it was excellent.
Claire
The cottage is lovely with lots of nice outdoor space. Very close to shops and routes to the cost and inland. The smaller shower head in the main bedroom ensuite needs fixing as it won't hold in its bracket.
Joanne
We had a wonderful holiday, the cottage was lovely and the welcome packs were so cute. The only thing I would like is a bigger supply of loo rolls, kitchen roll and dishwasher tablets, enough for the amount of days one is staying. The airbnbs that I have stayed in always have always had more than enough. This is a minor thing but would make life easier. The cottage and grounds were fabulous, I will highly recommend you.
