As described and beautiful only item couldn't find was ice tray but managed to make one from an egg box hosts had thought of everything you would need and the accommodation was better equipped than others we have stayed in closer to main house than shown on pics
This was by far the best place that we have stayed in as a family. It is a beautiful barn, very comfortable and very quite. It was exactly what we wanted. The barn is very roomy and has everything you could need for a selfcatering holiday. The owner baked us a gorgeous cake and sausage rolls for our arrival, and was very welcoming. I was highly recommend. We will be going back soon.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday at Brynhir Farm. Mrs Nixon was the perfect host. She made us feel very welcome and was helpful throughout our stay. The property is in a lovely peaceful setting and inside it is very comfortable and spacious. We'd love to visit again one day.
We were impressed with the space and peaceful surroundings. There were thoughtful touches like a hairdryer in each bedroom. There was quite a serious electrical problem during our stay which resulted in a lack of some facilities like TV, hot tub ,dishwasher and all lighting and sockets in one of the bedrooms but the owner resolved it as soon as practicable.
Had a lovely time in the home nothing was missing from the a comadation was nice to meet the owner on arrival and left us to ourselfs very nice to be away with the wild life around us , even though i live on a farm also thank you for the lovely welcome pack , the sponge was fantastic even though I only got one slice brother ate the rest . Would recommend the home for a restful break ,the hot tub was a extra bonus .
A fantastic property with everything you need. So peaceful with the bonus of a hot tub.

We had a lovely time. Every morning waking up to the bleating sheep and sounds of the Red Kites and other birds. The accommodation was amazing. Fully equipped with everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and the cake was delicious. We didnt want to come home and wished we had been able to stay longer. Absolutely perfect
On arrival we received a warm welcome by the owner Ceinwen who gave us helpful information about the property & the surrounding area. We had a peaceful & relaxing stay in the barn & it had everything that we needed. The veranda on the 1st floor was lovely allowing us great views of the open countryside for miles around. Our daytimes were spent out & about & the evenings watching the calves & lambs from the upstairs lounge. The Red Kites were amazing to watch & sat in the nearby tree. We would highly recommend the barn & would certainly stay again.
A wonderful cottage, clean and fully equipped with everything that you need for a relaxing peaceful break. Owners where very helpful and available if needed. Highly recommend this cottage and not too far from the major stores.

We had a fantastic stay at Brynhir Farm, it had everything we needed and more. The owner, Mrs Nixon was helpful and her homemade cake was lovely. Seeing the red kites flying over the property was amazing. We will definitely be booking again later in the year.
This magical getaway was perfect, from the warm welcome and home made cake from Ceinwen, the peace and quiet, the hot tub, the spacious accommodation, the chats with Geoffrey about the area and listening to his great knowledge of rural farming. For us it was the ideal location to enjoy long country walks only 40 minutes cross country walk to Llandrindod Wells . Also there is plenty to explore by car including Elan Valley, Newtown, Rhayader to mention a few. Back to the property , it is a upside down layout , which works very well with two spacious onsuite bedrooms downstairs and a open plan kitchendining room that had all the home comforts you could wish for & more and comfortable lounge upstairs with a lovely balcony where you can enjoy the starlit sky without any light pollution, as well as watch the resident Red Kite up close. We made great use of the hot tub which is situated in a enclosed shelter and watched the sun go down while relaxing in the hot water. We will recommending this great property to all our friends and will be rebooking ourselves I can not recommend it enough.
Excellent stay from start to finish. A very warm welcome from Mrs Nixon. Fabulous, peaceful location. Facilities were great. All you need for your stay. Lovely large bedroomsbathrooms. Particularly enjoyed watching the Red Kites from the outside decking area. Hot tub was fab too. Definately recommend Brynhir.

We enjoyed a wonderfull week of peace and quiet and couldn't fault the accomodation. The owner was very friendly and although on hand if needed not at all intrusive. Yet another property I have to add to my We'll be back list
Gorgeous accommodation in a very tranquil and peaceful setting. The barn itself is had everything needed for our stay, games, books , lots of information about the local area , with a lovely homemade cake on our arrival. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to returning .
My partner and I stayed at the barn for 5 nights in November. As soon as we entered the accommodation we noticed how warm and clean it was. We left our luggage in one of the downstairs bedrooms and the headed up the stairs. The upper floor has a gorgeous open plan layout with a spacious living room at one end and a huge kitchen area at the other. The place was spotless and contained everything we needed for our stay. The owner, Mrs Nixon, came over to greet us and is very friendly. Situated in mid Wales, the barn is in the ideal spot for days out. We were lucky with the weather and went out everyday but we would have happily spent all day in the barn if it was raining. We were amazed at how quiet it was. The only sounds outside being the wildlife which includes a pair or Red Kites that sit in the trees opposite the barn. Great for wildlife photography. We have already booked to go back again in the summer and would thoroughly recommend it. 1010
On Arrival We were met by the lovely Mrs Nixon, who showed us around the barn and explained everything to us,The barn itself is beautiful and well proportioned and as all you need for your stay,we enjoyed our days out and about visiting Rhayader all the Elan valley reservoirs and dams in stunning scenery,we also visited Abergavenny, and after our long walks we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, watching the Red Kites. we had a great weeks stay and would recommend the barn to friends and family.
Brynhir Farm is, without doubt, one of the best holiday accommodations we have experienced, having stayed at many over recent years. On arrival, we were provided with a superb, freshly made cake which was a lovely and welcome surprise. Our hosts, Ceinwen and Geoffrey were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The holiday barn itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. You are surrounded by wonderful views and the peace and quiet of the countryside. There is plenty to see locally, with the quaint and fascinating Llandrindod Wells close by, the Kite Feeding Station at Rhayader and the Spaceguard Station at Knighton, just a few of the places we visited. A quick mention for the amazing hot tub which was really the icing on the cake for us! In conclusion, we would not hesitate in recommending a holiday at Brynhir Farm, a little piece of heaven to be sure.
Lovely relaxing cottage, so much wildlife. All the utensils you need are there, even baking trays never had them in any other cottage. Really comfy settees. Beds are so comfy, shower not good, could not get it cool enough but the bath was lovely. Roomy and nice. Met by a really lovely owner, very friendly. Close but only there if you need them. Was a wonderful week.

We stayed 2 nights in B&B in the farmhouse and the stay was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was amazing!!! We transferred over to the barn on the Friday night for 7 nights and it was a beautiful place to stay. We had a fabulous stay at Brynhir Farm, the photo's don't do it justice, it was warm, clean, modern and a real home from home. The owner, Mrs Nixon was very welcoming and is always available if needed. It was lovely waking up to the bleating of sheep and lambs in the mornings and the surrounding area is truly spectacular. Although the weather wasn't on our side we still managed to see and do lots in the area. We enjoyed our week in Mid Wales and would definitely stay at Brynhir farm again.

We had a wonderful weeks stay for Christmas. When we arrived we were greeted my Mrs Nixon and shown around our beautiful accommodation. The barn had Christmas decorations and a lovely Christmas tree. This has been the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Its big and beautifully appointed. The hot tub was most welcome even in the storm. The sheep and the red kites were a delight to see. I would highly recommend this property.
What can I say! What a beautiful property and surrounding area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brynhir Farm! Rooms The barn and the rooms inside it were lovely and spacious, and it had a nice homey feel. We liked that both bedrooms had their own ensuites and TVs. Cleanliness Brynhir farm was spotlessly clean when we arrived. AmenitiesFacilities All of the facilities in the kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas worked perfectly and were high quality. We had everything we needed during our stay enough cutlerycrockery, seating, towels etc. We also made use of the hot tub on several occasions during our stay which was very relaxing and was preheated upon our arrival so we could use it straight away. Distance from attractions Brynhir Farm is a little bit of a drive away from some attractions however we loved being out in the country and still managed to visit Llandrindod Wells which is one of the closest towns to the barn and has a lovely lake to visit, the Small Breeds Animal Farm, Aberystwyth, and Elan Valley. Property owner Mrs. Nixon made us feel so welcome and at home in the barn during our stay! She showed us around when we arrived and was so friendly. Other One of our favourite parts of staying at Brynhir Farm was being able to sit out on the balcony and watch the Red Kites flying over in the mornings. There were even binoculars provided to make this even better for us! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Brynhir Farm and wed definitely recommend it to anyone who was visiting midWales and wed love to come back if we visit again.
Robert
We had a lovely stay. The barn was immaculate, everything was superb quality especially the frying pans ! The hot tub was a god send and lovely any weather. We loved sitting on balcony watching the kites fly and sit in trees nearby. It was a brilliant relaxing stay and we will definitely return x x x
Lovely hosts and delicious cake The property is in an excellent location all the way at the end of the lane. Loved seeing all the cows and sheep in the fields around us. The property really is as spacious as it looks a really comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again if looking to holiday in the area again.
Patricia
WOW! this is by far our best Sykes experience. 1010. Mrs Nixon is a lovely lady who has put much thought into making this delightful property a clean and peaceful haven, she has thought of everything except the weather! In spite of a rainy week, we walked miles around dams and reservoirs without getting wet and returned to the wonderful views back at Brynhir, Kites, cattle, calves and sheep and the working dogs which are a joy to watch, free entertainment from the balcony. We cannot recommend highly enough. Fabulous.
A beautifully secluded location but not too far away from Llandrindod Wells if you need to find a supermarket. The accommodation is well designed and, for nature lovers, the views from the balcony are spectacular. Red kites regularly making an appearance overhead. The hosts are very welcoming but totally unobtrusive. And, if you want to watch a nature spectacular, book to see the red kite feeding near Rhayader. A very relaxing break. Many thanks to the Nixons.
This is a fabulous property. Huge! Very comfortable, warm in a peaceful location. Only my wife and I stayed, but the property is eminently suitable for two couples each bedroom is ensuite, plenty of chairs etc. to ensure total comfort. Mrs. Nixon is the perfect host cannot fault Brynhir. If it's a peaceful rural location you're after look no further! Even red kites en site!
