Barn Roost is a beautifully restored stone barn conversion in the village of Kirkbride, Cumbria. The property showcases original exposed beams and traditional stonework throughout. You'll find a wood-burning stove in the main living area, perfect for cosy evenings after exploring the Solway Coast.

The barn sits in peaceful countryside with views across open fields. This is proper rural Cumbria. You're surrounded by farmland and quiet lanes, with the Solway Firth just a short drive away.

Inside there are three bedrooms sleeping six guests and two bathrooms. The open-plan kitchen and dining area features the barn's original stonework. A separate sitting room has the wood burner and comfortable seating. Upstairs you'll find the bedrooms under the barn's original roof timbers.

Carlisle city centre is 13 miles away (20 minutes). The Lake District National Park boundary is 15 miles south (25 minutes). Hadrian's Wall at Birdoswald Roman Fort is 18 miles (30 minutes). The Scottish border town of Gretna Green is 16 miles (25 minutes).
