Awelfan Reviews

The place was amazing. The house, views and hot tub were stunning. We had a lovely weekend
Kate-jordan
Amazing house, the hot tub was amazing, the kids bedroom area was fantastic. Could do with some toys and bits in the playtree house. Listed as enclosed garden but its not there is huge gaps in the fence which our dog could go straight through but we did have our stake for her so it was ok. Definitely be back, the house is huge compared to pictures. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The property was well presented and has excellent facilities. The games room, hot tub were particular highlights. The eggs from the farm were the tastiest eggs we've had ever, we took lots back home with us. We are already looking for when we could stay again.
Had a lovely stay, was very clean and hosts very welcoming, would have liked ... Had a lovely stay, was very clean and hosts very welcoming, would have liked more toys in the playroom and tree house but it was such a lovely place

A beautiful cottage set in an idilic setting with lovely views. It's a shame about the oil tank being placed in the middle of the fence line.A home from home with everything provided that you need and the hottub is the icing on the cake.owners are great hosts ,would definitely come back .Thanks for a great holiday.
Having just returned from a week long stay we already want to go back! . What a beautiful, peaceful gem of a property. Absolutely spotless throughout and it is a BIG property...it just keeps going and going! everything you could possibly need provided with thoughtfulness. Lyndsey is so friendly without being intrusive. Our dog enjoyed every second also, safe in the fully enclosed garden sat watching the lambs, sheep and occasional cow. We won the weather lottery with a full week of glorious sunshine and didn't even leave the barn on 2 days unheard for us as we like exploring but we struggled to tear ourselves away from the hot tub, views and sights and sounds of the farm and nature. Can recommend the Bull & Heifer for wonderful food and Aberystwyth beach for a little ride out. Thank you so much a fabulous week Lyndsay ...we are already sorting dates to try and return next year. Outstanding!

Quite slice of heaven and still close enough to get out and explore. Cottage was awesome and more than big enough for 3 adults n 3 dogs. Hot tub was needed after a day exploring.
We stayed in the Awelfan property over the Christmas week and I can say with confidence this was a great decision. The property had been very tastefully decorated and had a beautiful tall Christmas tree with twinkling lights waiting for us on our arrival. I loved the open plan flow of the living room and kitchen. My most enjoyable part was the fact that I could sit on the couch and see the TV, the Christmas tree, and the glorious log burner all at the same time. It really did make Christmas day special. The home is fully equipped with all you would need to cook and has plenty of utensils. The beds are comfy and the rooms are large. All bathrooms were great. There is a children's tree house feature in the garden and I found this a great place to sit with a coffee and look all the way down to the valley whilst getting some winter sun on my face. You can also enjoy a rare visit from the sheep on the other side of the fence whilst you sit in the large hot tub. This property far exceeded the pictures on the website. It truly is a little gem.
We had a lovely relaxing week here at the beginning of November. The hot tub was fantastic and the log burner kept the house really cosy in the lounge. We went for a walk at Vyrnwy lake and saw the waterfall called Rhiwargor, which was very pretty and well worth a visit. Lyndsey the owner was lovely and friendly. It is fairly central for both Newtown and Welshpool, not big towns but worth a short visit. The Bull and Heifer pub down the road offers amazing food, so much so that we ate there on three occasions. unusual for us. The only downside is, that it isn't particularly close to many decent walks that we could find. Overall a wonderful holiday and I would definitely recommend it if you want to chill and put your feet up.
The cottage was great! Clean and had everything you would need. As a family it was ideal with the added bonus of being surrounded by pigs, sheep and cows. The football table and Wii were an added bonus and the hot tub was lush! We would recommend this holiday let to any family looking to get away. This part of Wales is beautiful too.
We absolutely loved staying at Awelfan, so much so that our daughter wanted to stay! The barn is comfortable and has everything needed to either stay put and have a relaxing break or to be used as a base to explore mid Wales!!! I would not hesitate in recommending this property!!!!

We had a great stay over Christmas in Awelfan, the barn is spacious, lovely & warm, very cosy and full of character. It was also decorated beautifully for Christmas. The children loved having their own den upstairs. Lynsey was on hand for anything we needed including an unforgettable tour around the farm where we given an amazing opportunity to cuddle the weekold piglets! Shame the weather was so awful but we did get to see our very picturesque surroundings on a couple of occasions. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Guys!
An absolutely wonderful cottage which was just perfect for us and our family break. We would definitely look to rebook at Awelfan and are already plotting for next year!

We had an amazing 2 night stay at awelfan. It has everything you need for a luxury stay. Even a lovely welcome pack which was a nice added touch. Lyndsay the owner lives across the lane and came to introduce herself which was lovely. We will definitely be returning and we have already recommended to friends at work. 5 from us
