It's lovely cottage very spacious very quiet so lovely in that but it wasn't that clean we found spiders in bin and sink we had to bleach but we didn't mind people have different standards and we had children with us and we needed to do it for them and TV and internet run and drops out so much we didn't get to watch much which again not great with kids but was a lovely stay
Christine
We had a lovely time. The property was very comfortable and clean and close to all of the places we wanted to visit. The hosts were extremely helpful and pleasant.
Loved the space and overall accomodation. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 pooches. Garden safe for plenty of exercise for them and secure. Very helpful and friendly owner assistance when needed. Does need some updating to the interior but clean and looked after. Only 2 downsides that were for 6 people only 1 bathroom was a struggle, at least another toilet would be useful. The other, all the mattresses across the property, they are in need of renewing to help toward better sleeps after long walks and visits. Location of the property is great and parking is great for 3 cars too. Had a wonderful stay whilst enjoying the hot tub too.
Nice location for a cottage, the cottage itself needs modernising or some maintenance work doing. Some lights either not working or flickering, washing machine very loud and clonking, it was like the cottage hadn't been cleaned before our stay, hot tub dirty, mattresses wasnt the greatest, nice big secure garden, the cottage is nice and spacious, shower room nice and spacious, lovely range oven, nice walks in the area, the bedroom with the extra living room space and the extra tv, was a great hit with the kids,

Just come home from y felin and had the best time in a beautiful location the property has everything you need and welcome pack with local produce was a really nice touch my 4 dogs loved the garden which is secure so we had no concerns about them We loved it so much we have already booked to come back I August
Accommodation was very nice once we found it, sign to the property should be more prominent as we has to ask at three properties before we found it. Key safe did not work but the key had been left in the door. Our dogs loved the garden but with them only being small we were concerned that they might fall off as the lawn is raised about 23ft from the ground therefore we had to be out with them, maybe a small picket fence could be considered, also there needed to be more outside lighting as the solar lights were not very good. Maybe other guests should be aware that there is a kennels not very far away and you do hear the dogs barking quit a lot although this was not a problem to us. On the whole we had a relaxed week.
Very pleasant stay lovely property would highly recommend!

The property was warm and large enough in terms of living, sleeping and dining space, but one bathroom and toilet is not sufficient for the size of the property. The garden isn't secure with gaps and broken panels in the fence, which would allow my small dogs to escape. The garden also had feaces in it, which made it a problem for my dogs. I had to clean them on the first day And after that I couldnt allow them to go outside without a lead. The hottub had far too much chemical in it, it made my families hands peel. The dishwasher wasn't working and the hot tap in the kitchen wasn't working well, so using the hot water from this source to wash up was a problem. We boiled the kettle each time we needed to wash up. Some of the crockery was chipped, and old. Generally the property was comfortable enough, and we enjoyed our holiday but this property needed some maintenance. It felt unloved, it needed some TLC and a spring clean. It could be a really good property with a little bit of attention and maintenance. In terms of ratings, we felt that it falls short of 4.7 out of 5, and is the most disappointing of the 4 properties we have visited from Sykes Cottages site. Some of the things I've listed in my feedback are already documented in the visitors book, and still haven't been actioned. The property location is very quite, and in that way, a good place for a relaxing break. However, within a few miles there are local facilities and access to a small town. We received some locally sourced food item's on arrival, these were appreciated.
General cleanliness adequate . The vacuum cleaner needs attention sent out more dirt than it sucked up! A shower mat would preferable for a sure footing. The directions to the property would benefit from a starting point rather than relying on customers relying on a mapSat nav! Very misleading when read in isolation!!
This place is awesome ! Beautiful setting and great space for the dogs to run around. House has everything and more and the welcome hamper was most appreciated . Highly recommended

There are many attractions and lovely beaches within a short drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , The welcome pack was a nice thought , thankyou

Loved our stay at Y Felin ! Gorgeous and cozy cottage, beds are so comfy, kitchen fully equipped with everything needed, comfy sofas and lovely enclosed garden which was great for our dog and children to play. Hot tub went down a treat too ! We will be returning for sure !!!
Louise
Fab getaway for our family and pugs, and when there was an issue, this was resolved ASAP, even though it was new years eve. No complaints xx
In general this was a very nice barn conversion to stay in warm, comfortable with all the necessary facilities one could want and expect in a wonderful part of Wales. We stayed in December and a wood burner would have been a really nice addition that said the heating was very good and we were never cold. If I had to be picky I would say the wash up area was not thought out and was not easy to use. Also the washing machine was one its last legs and sounded like a rocket. Other than these small issues this would have been five stars across the board.
Amanda
Would highly recommend this cottage. Myself and my husband and our 2 dogs had a great few days staying in the cottage relaxing in the hot tub and knowing the dogs were safe in the secure garden. We had a couple of issues but Mathew was straight over to help us. Welcome bag was a lovely touch.
Michelle
My daughter had a lovely week at the cottage, would definitely book again.
Merica
Lovely, spacious property conveniently located a short distance away from many sites, amenities & walks. Secure garden for the dogs, a lovely welcome pack for the humans & treats for the dogs.
A great base to operate from. Highly recommend it, especially if you have 4 dogs like we did. A great location for exploring the region and for facilities like shops and pubs.
Fantastic week away. Beautiful accommodation. Can not wait to book again for next year.
Really enjoyed our stay, straight forward no hassles, comfortable spacious and relaxing, all round great holiday.
Had a lovely stay. Hosts were very nice and accommodation was spacious and just as listed.
Excellent, the property location met all our requirements to explore the beautiful coastal walks and beaches. Evenings spent relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine or two before retiring for a nights sleep in the comfortable super king sized bed. Having a secure garden for four legged friends is an added bonus.
Very pleased with the property and location, great place and near to some lovely beaches, great to have hot tub and it worked well, while we were there we had an issue with the cooker, but the owner was straight there and fixed it. Just one thing , it was fine for us as we were only 4 but think you might struggle with just one bathroom for 8. Very comfortable accommodation and all facilities good. Thank you
Three generations enjoyed the holiday home together. The layout gave us the opportunity to be either all together or have our own separate space if needed. The grandchildren soon commandeered the raised mezzanine sitting area to watch tv. We found Y Felin to be a very well equipping home from home. Comfortable beds and bedding, spotlessly clean throughout, wonderful , approachable owners on hand to solve any queries very quickly. The treats waiting for us on arrival made us all feel really welcome, thank you. We all loved our holiday at Y Felin. The private, safe and well fenced garden was a lovely space to relax or play in and enjoy the hot tub. Plenty of room to park our cars easily. It was amazing thank you.
