Tyn Y Ceubren Bach Reviews

Truly a great place. First impressions were great. Such a great location for some relaxation and exploring. Facilities are great and the home is kitted out in top end furniturefeatures. Hot tub was a great addition and the place is clean and cosy. Id happily visit again, the children dont want to leave
Heather
Location amazing and sitting out watching the starry nights was stunning. As mentioned by others a few tweaks would be five star dishwasher broken noted this was back in October, door sticking so bad on balcony that unable to lock. Many many places we have stayed we have received a starter packessentials left in the property ie, cooking oil, milk, and more than one toilet roll in each toilet. Maybe a hope everything is ok text on the first evening would be nice as check a check in from the owner
Great place to base yourself for days out or stayin and just relax on the balcony before hopping in to the hot tub. One of the few places I would go back to.
The dishwasher is still not working and no washing up liquid provided. Let's get serious, the views are amazing, TVs are the highest quality, comfy sofas, spotlessly clean throughout. Everything in this barn conversion has been well designed, including fitted furniture in the bedrooms, curtains and cushions to match. I can not fault this property.
We had a great stay at Tyn Y Ceubren Bach just before Christmas as we were in the area for our wedding. We chose the property as we wanted a little bit of luxury given the occasion and the property didnt disappoint. It is well decorated throughout, so felt very home away from home, and lots of things that made our visit more enjoyable compared to other holiday properties we have stayed in such as a smart TV, sizeable fridge and freezer and great utility room. Often in a holiday property there are compromises but as its a short period you are fine with them, but this wasnt the feel of this place it was how I would want my own home to be. My toddler was impressed there was a TV in both bedrooms and the kitchen! The hot tub was a welcome addition and despite being December we managed to enjoy it a few nights. My only recommendation would be to have a few everyday essentials in the property such as salt pepper cooking oil etc as these are things you are less likely to buybring for a short break but all guests would use. The owner was easy to communicate with which made the stay easy to manage. If we were in the area again we would definitely rebook and would recommend to others. Its a short drive to Llangollen where we needed to be but accessible to so many other great areas of North Wales so we will be back!
The cottage was beautiful! So cosy and comfortable. We took our toddler for a long weekend it was a great location to get out and about during the days, some beautiful scenic drives. The accommodation was great to come back to in an evening, cook dinner and relax in the hot tub! The Sonos speakers were a great addition.
Lovely property in a lovely location, stunning views all round, gorgeous balcony from main bedroom. Sound system in kitchen, master and patio was a real bonus. Close to main towns but far enough out to escape when you need.
Natalie
Absolutely stunning accommodation! Such a relaxed week and everything needed that you could think of. The only thing I would say is the main bedroom could do with a new bed but other than that it was perfect.
Stephen
The property itself was lovely, nice location the lower scores for cleanliness and comfort were due to the rather awful smell coming from the septic tank at the rear of the property this was emptied half way through our stay, but the smell remained. Had it not been for this, we would have scored the property very highly. Unfortunately , the smell made the whole stay rather unpleasant whilst there. Hopefully this issue can be sorted for future visitors. We would consider returning if this issue was sorted.
Joanne
A truly amazing property in a stunning location. We had a lovely relaxing holiday with all modern conveniences and many other thoughtful additions... particularly enjoyed curling up with a coffee and a book on the balcony watching the birds swooping morning and evening, plus listening to the owls hooting in the evening and the Cockerell in the morning. The hot tub was so relaxing and we also enjoyed the wood fire in the evening wood included. So many lovely touches around the property, Board games and cards were provided, we enjoyed a few games of Trivial Pursuit! Will definitely be returning!
Rebecca
Beautiful property with amazing starry skies at night! Absolutely perfect for a family of 4, everything you could need in the kitchen, the hot tub was a lovely way to chill out in the evening with a drink. There is no better way to fall asleep than listening to the owls hooting in the night sky!
Pauline
Met at the property by lovely friendly Lauren hosts representative. Very friendly and welcoming and offered lots of useful local info. Evelyns retreat is a fab rural retreat with fantastic aspect to rear of property. Peace and quiet except for sound of sheep, pheasants and owls at night and occasional dog barking. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. The hot tub was lovely to relax in each evening after exploring and walking in the area. We used public transport to get around rather than use the car. Caught T3 to Llangollen and walked to Horseshoe falls one day. Caught bus in the opposite direction Corwen and walked back via Pen Y Pigyn and the Grouse Inn at Carrog. Stunning scenery everywhere you look. Highly recommend this accommodation.
Callum
Everything was perfect will be returning.
A really well equipped cottage set in the perfect location if you looking for peace and quiet but close enough to local amenities and places of interest. Lovely host as well!
Samantha
A proper home away from home. Had everything we needed was beautifully warm, well looked after and a beautiful location.
Stephanie
There was no fuelstarter pack provided for the wood burner. The kitchen lacked quite a lot of essential items including washing up liquid, washing up bowl , only 1 dishwasher tablet provided, oven gloves, bread knife, wooden spoons, serving bowls, casserole dish, bin bags there was a kitchen bin with no bag in it and none to be found. It would have been nice to have a clothes airer. The tin opener could do with an upgrade. The cottage itself was comfortable, clean and warm. Great that you can park right outside. The hot tub was excellent and stargazing from that was awesome! WiFi was reliable and quick.
Fantastic property in an amazing location! Comfortable & clean & the hot tub is a real bonus. Comfortable beds ... albeit the one in the main bedroom with the balcony was a little soft & small for us only a double so we used the other bedroom but that's personal preference. Amazing views from the balcony, just perfect for relaxing with a glass of fizz! Would highly recommend.
Gareth
Great visit thank you
Sean Lee
Great home away from home Beautifully finished to a high quality and so relaxing and peaceful.
Sara is lovely, perfect host totally anonymous even though right next door, but you know if you had any issues, which we didn't, or had a query which we did, response was pretty much immediate. Second time here we absolutely love it and would hope to stay again, would recommend in a heartbeat
Michaela
The property is in a good location for visiting Llangollen and a short walk to the local pub. The upstairs of the accommodation has been done to a high standard. Beautiful large rooms, comfortable bed and the master balcony was lovely to enjoy in the morning. Downstairs however let's the property down. There was a strong smell of gas in the entire downstairs, so much so we had to keep windows open and candles burning. The property is located directly next door to the owner, which is fine, however it lacks privacy when in the outside and hot tub. The property could do with landscaping and larger fences.
Gerard
We had a fantastic week here. The house is very nice with the balcony and the hot tub being our favourite places. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. The wine and chocolate brownies were a very nice touch when we arrived. There is ample parking and the owner was very welcoming. The house is in a quiet lane with the beatiful town of Llangollen just a few minutes drive away. We would Highley recommend this house.
Gillian
We really enjoyed our stay , its a lovely cottage , the hot tub was wonderful after our hill walks . The balcony from the bedroom was a lovely place to relax at any time of the day . We would recommend this cottage and will hopefully find time to go back down someday .
The cottage was great as were the owners who could not be more helpful. The brownies that were delivered by the owner on our arrival where delicious and certainly very moorish. The hot tub was very welcoming after a busy day of waking and site seeing. Many thanks once again.
Holiday property was excellent no problems there. Everything you need was available. Property was in my opinion let down by the inordinate amount of rubbish surrounding the home. Broken fences, building materials, plastic piping and bricks. I understand that the property owners are working on their own home but this is not what I wanted to see from my balcony or hot tub. Would I recommend cottage yes, but would I go back ????
Morgan
We had a lovely stay, the brownies and the wine was an extra touch which made our stay extra special. Good location and right near the town. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. The only thing we would say is that we were disheartened when we could use the hot tub when we arrived as it needed heating up. We tried to go in at 11pm but was still cold, so we just waited till Saturday morning instead after giving up trying to get it. Definitely would return again. Very lovely stay overall.
The inside of the property was perfectly OK. It did say somewhere working farm .I have stayed on many working farms with you .never been a problem and much tideier than this .This was more like a building site ! The picture shown when booking of a lovely bedroom with balcony was very dissapointing .lovely views spoilt by piles of rubbish and building materials .Wasn't able to use hot tub during the day as no privacy due to lots of workmen ..I suggest they clear up a bit or inform future holiday makers of all the building going on ..
We had a fantastic stay. The owner was very kind and helpful. The welcome gift was on another level. So peaceful and lots of lovely walks. Hot tub and balcony were amazing. We will be back.
From one home to another there was honestly not one thing we needed that wasnt in the cottage, the owners have thought of absolutely everything. Great location, loads of nice walks to do near by. Hot tub kept well maintained & the homemade brownies and wine on arrival was a lovely touch. Owner just a text away and responds quickly and couldnt be any more helpful. Such a zen, relaxing few days we cant wait to return already Xx
We had the most wonderful time here. The house is a real home away from home were we were able to relax and destress even with a baby. The views are stunning and so peaceful sitting on the balcony is a real pleasure. The hot tub was a fabulous addition and greatly enjoyed. Cosy evenings bynthe log burner a must. The house was situated slap bang in the middle of nothing yet close enough to everything you could need a short drive away. Great walks available for all ages horseshoe falls, pontcysyllte aqueduc. The host was warm welcoming and super friendly the plate of welcome brownies were a huge hit home made and still warm honestly couldnt ask for more we will be back
The cottage was exactly as described on the website. We met the hosts on arrival who couldnt have been more friendly a bottle of wine and a plate of homemade brownies was a real treat. Everywhere we wanted to visit was an easy drive a day in Chester is well worth considering as is a trip to Llandudno. The Chapel tea room at Trevor was also very good. Thoroughly enjoyed our week and would highly recommend.
Our second time staying there, once again didnt disappoint. Will miss waking up every morning and taking a coffee on the balcony to listen to the stream. Will most definitely book again in the future.
It looked identical to the pictures which was absolutely gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who were so lovely. They thought of the little things that go a long way. We couldnt fault it at all so much so weve already booked to go back.
Such a fantastic property with a host to match, and the welcome gifts from the property owner were such a nice gesture and surprise. Would not hesitate to recommend the property for a relaxing break to anyone visiting the area.
