The Granary works well for older children who enjoy countryside walks and beach days. The enclosed garden provides safe outdoor space whilst the coastal path leads to sandy beaches 3 miles away. Younger children may find the working farm setting and lack of specific play equipment limiting. The hot tub and open-plan layout suit families with teenagers.
Groups Will Love...
The hot tub at The Granary sits in the private enclosed garden overlooking open farmland. This outdoor feature lets you soak year-round whilst watching stars appear over the Vale of Glamorgan countryside. After coastal walks or beach days, the hot tub provides the perfect way to relax those tired muscles. The rural farm setting means complete peace whilst you unwind.
Pet Friendly
The Granary does not accept pets due to its location on an active working farm with livestock. Dogs cannot stay at this barn conversion. The farm animals and agricultural operations make it unsuitable for visiting pets. If you need dog-friendly accommodation, you'll need to look at alternative barn conversions. The Granary Reviews

We highly recommend booking a stay at The Granary. The property is beautiful and has everything you could need. We especially liked how private the garden is. Another highlight is the direct access onto the coastal path, which is breathtaking! We were happily surprised by all of the information given out prior to our visit and its been the best communication we have had when booking previous holidays, to date. Thank you for making such a wonderful holiday property in this fabulous location. The welcome gifts were also vey kind, and our first time trying Welsh cakes, which went down well ! Best wishes to the whole team.

The Granary provided us with all the ingredients for a peaceful weekend away with our dog. The quality of the information we were given was excellent and we enjoyed local walks using material provided. It is a very quiet cottage, with easy access and good parking in a beautiful part of Glamorgan. We will recommend to family and friends.
We had the best week here, it was really like the perfect home away from home. Beautiful and quiet surroundings, private fenced garden for the dog, impeccably clean, everything was perfectly set up and clear in terms of parking and bins etc, and everything in the house felt really new which was lovely. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area we really loved our stay!
The Granary is a fantastic property. Extremely well appointed with everything we and the dogs could possibly need, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden was perfect and the hot tub was great after long walks along the coastal path and beaches. We have stayed in all three properties at Sealands Farm now. They are all equally good, but the Granary suited us two adults and two dogs perfectly. Hopefully we will be back again soon.

We booked to stay at The Granary near St Brides Major back in NovemberDecember 2025 for a birthday treat. We were welcomed to the property to a lovely settling in package with fresh milk and mince pies which was a wonderful touch and very personable. We organised for a food delivery from a local supermarket on our arrival date which worked out well. The driver stated they deliver locally to this location often and found the location easily. There are not local shops within walking distance to grab last minute bits so highly recommend to stock up whenever out or organise a delivery. The property was highly organised, well stocked and had most, if not all amenities available to make you feel at home, down to the smaller touches such as special holiday tags for the dogs, cleaning products and hot tub essentials. The communication with the owners were great, greeting us ahead of our arrival letting us know the property was ready to check in, saying hello whenever they were around the local farm and checking in throughout if we needed it. This was great as it made us feel welcomed and listened to. We raised a concern with the owners about one of the lights in the living room being faulty, and whilst unfortunately they werent able to fix this during our stay, they ensured our feedback was listened to and said they would organise a replacement for the next guest, so you cant ask for more than that. We visited lots of local townsvillages around to get used to the area, including beaches at Barry Island, Ogmore and Porthcawl. The owners gave us great recommendations for cafe and food establishments including Fablas Ice cream parlour who are well known locally. The local donut shop called WhoCult coffee & Donuts was so good we went twice during our stay. Our stern favourites filings were the biscoff cheesecake, cinnamon french toast and kinder bueno! Most of the local beach or villages such as Ogmoreonsea were beautiful, with local attractions and nice walks such as the castle ruins. The property to these locations were anywhere between 1540 minutes by car. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area that is dog friendly, we would highly recommend this property. On arrival we were provided with a dog visitor pack which included waste bags, portable water bottle, treats and holiday dog tags with the property details and phone numbers a very handy thing if you are visiting the area and for safety. The outside space, being so secure was great and we felt we could let the dogs out and not worry about them getting out or upsetting any other properties on the lot as you are not overlooked or have adjoining outdoor space. The welcome booklet was very well written, including details for most appliances, local establishments both dog friendly and non contact details and addresses for local eateries, medical and vet locations, maps for local walks, takeaway leaflets and hot tub instructions. This was useful to go through at the start of our stay to help us settle in right away. Definitely take advantage of this and see all the leaflets for attractions or locations left by other guests too. We tried two local takeout options Rogers Chinese and Lubnas Indian at Llantwit Major, very local to the property and a short drive for collection. Both were great, good value for money and the Indian especially was one of the nicest currys weve had in a long while. Difficult to know where to try if youre not a local but would recommend these to try if you are looking to stay here. Dine in options we enjoyed was the local Mediterranean restaurant called Mezze The Farmers arms and The Fox pub bar side dog friendly, restaurant non dog friendly. Both close to the property at a short drive away. The parking at the pub was adjacent to the building on the opposite side of the road, slightly awkward location but was always fully packed which was good promotion for the quality of the food served. Local shopping was great at Bridgend, having most local high street and supermarket options, drive thru food options as well as the designer outlet shopping centre, which had free parking and was dog friendly. We were able to enter nearly every shop at the outlet centre with the dog which was a great experience and something good to do on a bad weather day. The drive to the outlet shopping centre was around 20 minutes by car. The local walks recommended in the owners packs were great, especially walking past the pigs towards the cliff edge and beach. Beautiful views and a quicker option through the fields. The owner explained that this walk especially was good for dogs as all the fields were secure and allowed for off leash walking. Overall we would highly recommend booking a stay at this property if you are wanting something that is homely, slightly remote, quiet and peaceful. The amenities included were great, especially the kitchen utensil and cleaning supplies, welcome pack for both the humans and the dogs. The booking and communication process was straightforward and the ability for contactless checking in and checkout allowed you to feel at ease. The flexibility was great and we would definitely look to return and stay again. It was a wonderful option for us and our friends with our 2 dogs to stay, we were comfortable and felt right at home for our entire stay. Our one and only negative honestly just to be incredibly picky would be that this specific property doesnt have a downstairs toilet. This is not a deal breaker but would only enhance the space and use, especially for children. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay & we hope to come back in the future!
The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very cosy and comfortable, with the added bonus of a hot tub in which to sit and enjoy the landscape. Lovely quiet location and a very thoughtful welcome pack awaited us on our arrival. Would definitely recommend.
Kathryn
We had the most wonderful stay at The Granary everything was absolutely perfect. The team have truly thought of everything to make it feel like a home away from home. The fully enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog, and its honestly the best cottage weve ever stayed in. We felt so relaxed throughout our visit. Its also a wonderful base, surrounded by gorgeous scenery, making it perfect for exploring the area. We will especially miss Coris and Boris, the farms adorable Kunekune pigs they were such a delight. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our time at the Granary but we were disappointed that there was no wardrobes in which to hang clothes. We were lead by the descendant that there was a wardrobecloset. The hot tub was much to hot at 39degC and we could not locate the chemicals. The signal was extremely poor for the telephone and poor for the internet. There was a lack of cleaning materials and the fact that we had to strip beds etc before we left paying over 257 per night we would have expected it to be included!
Leanne
We had a lovely stay at The Granary. Relaxing in the beautiful setting at Sealands Farm. Peaceful and stunning surrounding would highly reccomend going.
Lyndon
Just had a lovely week at The Granary. This is the first property we have booked that has a truly enclosed garden for our dog. The fence is about 5ft tall, which is great. The walk to the coastal path goes straight from the cottage through Sealands Farm to the coast. It takes about 1520 minutes to walk it. Emma welcomed us to The Granary and then left us to settle in. The Granary was lovely, clean and spacious the sofa was a little low for my wife, but still comfy It had everything we needed. The hot tub was gorgeous. You had to add a spoon of powder in after each use, which was fine as you know it is clean and safe to use. It is also checked once a week by the owners. The farm, although a working farm, was so quiet. It was also very clean and tidy for a working farm. Plenty of well labelled bins for your rubbish too. We only used the one bedroom but the bed was really comfy. One of the best properties we have stayed in and we have already talked about booking again. Thank you. Lyndon and Diane Mills.
It's an amazing place to stay. The whole property was clean and the hosts are super friendly and have great communication. If you're looking for a quite getaway with a hot tub to relax in I would definately recommend Selands cottages.
The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed for a week away, a real home from home. Everyone we met on the farm was really friendly. The cottage is located within easy access to the coastal path and I found this invaluable for accessing some of the less visited beaches.
Natasha
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Granary. Such a perfect, cosy, well equipped holiday home for exploring all the lovely places the local area has to offer. So many fantastic walks with the dogs close by, the garden area was also great for them! Everything exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be looking at coming back
The Granary was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful building, comfortable and dog friendly. Clean and well maintained. Lovely area for dog walking. Host was also lovely and so helpful. The perfect place for our first holiday with our baby.
A lovely location and beautiful property, enhanced by the glorious weather. We did not want to leave it all behind.
Michael
We were extremely impressed by the standard of decor and facilities. The location is ideal for exploring the area and local landmarks. Our two dogs were welcome and well provided for. We would thoroughly recommend Sealands Farm cottages.

Absolutely fantastic holiday in a beautiful cottage. Wonderful setting, friendly and helpful hosts who went above and beyond to make us welcome, but werent at all intrusive. The cottage was spotless and incredibly comfortable for us, our 2 year old and 2 dogs. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return.
Fantastic stay Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location plenty of beaches lovely walks and great for kite flying.

We had the best week at The Granary. Every detail has been thought about by the wonderful hosts Emma and David, making our stay comfortable and easy. The hot tub is super, with an enclosed and private garden, and a lovely view. Many an evening sat out in the garden enjoying the peace and quiet! Lovely location with lots of lovely places to eat including coffee and cake. Lots to do for our teenage girls, and the dog had a super holiday too. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed! We will be back!
The granary is outstanding, we had the best time whilst staying there. Emma the owner went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. We didnt want to come home and will definitely stay again.

Helena
We had a lovely stay. The Granary was extremely well stocked and we wanted for nothing. Lovely location and great walk down to the coastal path. We would definitely return. A downstairs toilet would be the only thing we would add to make it perfect and an extra couple of dishwasher tablets
Nicola
Lovely, comfortable and wellequipped cottage. Perfect for exploring a beautiful part of the Welsh coast.
It was absolutely amazing so relaxing every little detail thought of beautiful week away.
Luxury, excellent fixtures and fittings, peaceful location, close to beaches, fully enclosed gardens excellent for small children and dogs. Private hot tub which is not overlooked. We really enjoyed our stay, David and Emma were available if needed.

We loved staying at The Granary. It was in a lovely locaton where a walk across a few fields to the coast path brings you to a view of the sea and access to great walks. The owners had thought of every little detail for us and our dog, with lovely welcome packs for us all. The hottub was a real treat, and the towelling robes made it easy to enjoy a dip even when the weather was a bit nippy. The beds were comfortable and the location is very quiet at night so we slept well. We would definitely recommend staying here, and will return in future. Thank you!

Wow wow wow wow wow! ! Sealands Farm Cottages are absolutely beautiful. From the moment you turn down the drive and pull up outside your own holiday cottage your vacation begins. The cottages are absolutely beautiful and so cosy. Everything has been so well thought out and considered. We stayed for a week and didnt want to leave. We stayed in the Byre and it was stunning. Gorgeous furnishings and super comfy beds and a hot tub with plenty of room to stretch out. We loved the welcome pack of Prosecco Mince pies and treats for the dogs. These cottages are a gem. Emma and David have really gone all out and it shows. I want to tell all of my friends to stay but I dont want it to be booked up so I cant go lol. Honestly if you are looking for an amazing dog friendly cottage then this is the place for you. You will not be disappointed if you book here you will only be looking to book your next stay while you are here its that nice. Thank you so much for all of your hospitality and kindness. We cant wait to come back.

The Granery is stunning. Always warm, with under floor heating and log burner. Hot Tub is lovely as was the outdoor seating, just needed covers for the seat pads when it rainded. Beds were firm but perfect. Location amazing with cliff top walks with dog friendly beaches not far either. It would be difficult to find a better dog friendly property in the UK.
The Granary was a great location, very clean and comfortable, owners David and Emma were great and on hand if needed quick to sort out queries. Lots to do in the area . Would 100 recommend the cottages and will definitely return.
The Granary has everything you could need in a holiday cottage. The owners live close by and are very helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. We had truly awful weather for midSeptember, but The Granary was warm and cosy. The garden would be completely dogproof for any size of dog. The owners are very dogfriendly. It was my first time in a hot tub and I decided it was good! It's an easy drive to various places for walks along the coast path. We also enjoyed a visit to Dyffryn Gardens NT.
A really lively and convenient place to stay
We were blown away with all the extra things they provided that we didn't expect. Even for the dogs. There attention to detail to make our stay extra special was appreciated. From the bed linen, comfort, cleanliness was all 5 star. The accommodation is perfectly situated for amazing walks and trips to the beach.
What a gem this cottage is, clean and well equipped, my dogs absolutely loved the cottage and the ability to use a kennel when it wasnt best to take them with us was fantastic. Set in a farm setting surrounded by lovely walks and spectacular coastal towns just a short drive away it was a wonderful location to unwind from the stresses of life. Will be returning asap thanks Emma for making the stay perfect
Hannah
This cottage is outstanding ! !! Beautiful location, stunning decor, spotlessly clean and perfect for dogs as fully enclosed with high fences. The owners are amazing, very friendly and polite. The cottage is fully equipped with every small detail you can think of. Examples include a dog tag, saying Im on holiday, with the cottages address, dog gate to prevent dogs going upstairs. The setting is remote, however Bridgend is only 10 mins away. We had the most amazing holiday, accompanied by hot weather. Lots of recommendations for things to do see week commencing 9th June 2023 in the guest book. To name a few local milkshake vending machines Designer outlet lots of beaches The star Inn, burger night was so reasonable with delicious food. Cowbridge Farm track coastal walk to Dunraven Castle and beach Whocult coffee and donuts Ogmore by sea Lots of retail parks close by Couldnt recommend the Granary enough, nothing was done cheaply all lovely furnishing and good quality makes of utensils and accessories.
