The Stables Reviews

We had a very enjoyable long weekend at The Stables. The accommodation is finished to a high standard, very clean and spacious, making it perfect for our family group of four adults, a fouryearold and a Labrador. The garden is lovely and secure, and we were lucky enough to enjoy some sunny weather and spend time outside. The hot tub was a great bonus too. Set in a rural location, there are plenty of lovely country walks nearby for the dog to enjoy. We especially appreciated the K9 cleaning zone, which came in very handy after a particularly wet and muddy walk!
We all loved our chilled long weekend at the Stables cottage. It was a comfortable size for 6 of us and a golden retriever. He loved the enclosed garden space and local walks. It is located in a remote village, which wasnt a problem for us, and only a short drive to Thirsk and surrounding areas to visit. The showers were hot and powerful, the towels are big and soft, and extra touches like providing dressing gowns was really appreciated, as we made good use of the hot tub too. There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs as fully tiled, slippers indoors shoes recommend. The kitchen has everything, a lot of thought has certainly gone into the little extras that I often take away now. There is enough utility supplies not to run out, a good selection of kitchen items and a welcome basket with tea coffee and milk in the fridge. Overall, we were very impressed with the quality and standard of the cottage and its contents, it is one of the best we have stayed in and would definitely return and recommend. Many thanks
Tracey
This is a lovely property. Most comfortable bed ever ! No expense spared on decor and facilities. Well stocked and generous with welcome basket and condiments. Bathrooms are exquisite. Garden is secure and was perfect for our dog. Well located for many areas. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Absolutely loved our stay at the stables. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The property was very dog friendly too, with a lovely enclosed garden. The hot tub was a great addition and the little extra touches like a basket with treats on arrival were very appreciated. The house is only a 1015 minute drive from Thirsk. Would love to return in the future
Rachel
We had a wonderful weekend at The Stables. Everything we needed was there. Beautifully decorated and a wonderful peaceful location. Just wished we could have stayed longer!
Christopher
Absolutely amazing, everything in the accommodation was excellent and more. Would book again without a second thought.
We fell in love with the Stables as soon as we walked through the door, we could very happily live here permanently! There are 5 properties set around a lovely courtyard. The property was spotless and had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. The attention to detail makes the Stables a 5 property for example, the towels provided are big and so thick, unlike a lot of other properties we have stayed in. They provide a supply of dishwasher and washing machine pods if you need them, there was only 2 of us so we washed up as we went. Fabulous large hot tub to relax in at the end of a busy day, robes are provided to wrap up in when you get out. Our dog loved the big secure garden which is perfect for those zoomies. You will not be disappointed with this property and we will definitely be returning if we stay in the area again.
Elaine
Everything was to a high standard and really beautiful . The only thing for us , as it was a very hot weekend , would have been some garden chairs to sit out in , apart from that perfect for us
Beautiful place so peaceful and relaxing . I will be booking to return
Beverley
A beautiful high quality holiday home. The electric charging point was really useful. The hot tub was great. It would have been nice to have some comfortable seating and a shady area in the garden to sit or eat out. The place was immaculate apart from the oven. If other guests do not clean up after themselves surely the cleaners need to do this.
Jennifer
We had a good stay and facilities were excellent. Lovely and warm and comfortable. It would have been helpful to have had the washing machine and hairdryer listed in info as we could have taken less luggage! Overall it was a very lovely experience. Loved the hot tub.
Lucy was a wonderful host. Always at the end of the phone and happy to help with anything we needed. So clean and tidy. Wish it was pet free just so it stays perfect as we want to come back again and again. Great location and garden is huge. Parking is fab too. Easy reach of everything we needed in the local area too. Thankyou!
Shazad
The stay was excellent and this property was newly built with all you need also dog friendly. The kids loved the hot tub.
