The Old Sheep Shed Reviews

Louise
Excellent stay, great facilities both in the cottage and on site for all the family, good location, would suggest updating listing with more photos and stating there is a freezer as current description does not do it justice and may put people off when not necessary.
Georgina
A beautiful cottage with lots of living space for my two youngs kids to play. They loved the hot tub! My parents had a wonderful stay as well, perfect for three generations under one roof.
Michael
An absolutely wonderful, relaxing break with our family. Perfect location for visiting Llangollen, Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Birmingham. Many more attractions locally too. Local hostelries are brilliant too, especially the Yockleton Arms. The facilities at the Sheep Shed were superb including a large hot tub. We had the chance to look at other properties on the site and they were equally well appointed, including a huge unit sleeping up to 14 people. Our hosts could not do enough for us, including advice for our then pregnant and very near term daughter about facilities locally if she could not make it to Walsall. We since have a beautiful granddaughter who will be coming with us next time as we will certainly be going back.
Andrew
We had an amazing time at The Old Sheep Shed. Every facility is provided and it is such a relaxing place. We sat out on the decking most evenings and thoroughly enjoyed our surroundings. Thank you very much.
Its been 11 years since we last visited The Old Sheep Shed. And we found it as relaxing & comfortable as the 1st time. It is a bit dated now which we expected but still very clean. We went for comfort relaxation & peace & quite and we got exactly that. Lovely to see also the other accommodations they have built and was lucky enough to be able to have a look round the largest one. Which is fabulous for big family gatherings. I would highly recommend any of the accommodations because they are all lovely. Looking forward to booking again soon
Victoria
A lovely holiday home with strong wifi, excellent facilities. We particularly liked the old barn with badminton court in when the weather wasnt great! Very welcoming hosts. Fab setting away from the other holiday homes overlooking a pond so you can pass your time away on the hot tub in your own little world. Easy access to Shrewsbury and the A5 for days out. Would thoroughly recommend
Rajmanee
We really enjoyed the family holiday. Perfect location. Good facilities. The hot tub was marvellous. The covid cleaning instructions could have been clearer.
Amanda
Exactly what we wanted. A nice peaceful setting for a relaxing break. Would highly recommend. The Barnes family.
Kathryn
Beautiful cottage, with a great view and easy access to both shops and country walks. The hot tub is well located just outside the cottage, was clean and easy to use. Great weekend, would happily recommend andor return.
I had been to the Sheepshed before, so knew that it was a high quality property hence met expectations.
Expectations were generally met, some parts of the Sheep Shed and around the site need some 'freshening up'. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the area is lovely with lots of places to visit and things to do.
Alethea
We had a fantastic Christmas at The Sheep Shed. Both Julie and Robert were so warm, friendly and welcoming. On our first evening we were invited to join the locals at bell ringing and carol singing. What a lovely start to the festive period. The kids loved the surroundings and enjoyed both games rooms. Kept them pretty occupied throughout the day. Brilliant idea. Even going to the local pub on Christmas Day we were welcomed by all there. Such a friendly area. Highly recommend Upper House Farm Cottages fantastic stay. Thank you
We had an awesome stay at The Sheep Shed. It is set back off the road nestling peacefully amongst the Shropshire fields. Robert and Julie so welcoming, friendly, helpful and on hand should you need them. The Sheep Shed is comfortable with lovely leather furniture, just perfect for relaxing in front of the wood burner. The sauna an added bonus as is the hot tub for a real pampering. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. All rooms spotlessly clean with luxury towels and crisp white bedding. Bathroom and shower facilities excellent. The under floor heating is so nice too! The pool table was a big hit. The play barn and badminton barn very well thought out and offers lots of activities to guests. We borrowed some DVDs' from the extensive collection housed there. Loved the honesty shop which is surprisingly well stocked. Millie the farm dog is so sweet. Cannot fault anything or leave negative feedback at all. Can't stress how much we loved our holiday here, so much so we tried to rebook for February '19 but it is already taken by some very lucky people. You will not regret booking to stay here it was a little slice of Heaven.....
Location is brilliant lots to do nearby, including the deer park walk and NT properties, Shrewsbury etc. Hot tub and pool table at the property great fun. Honesty shop and games barns, including retro space invaders and badminton were a bonus. Our grandson just loved the farm dog, Millie, and that you could take her for walks. We loved the fish pond and daily feeding the fish! Very comfortable beds.
We loved the friendly welcome we received on our early arrival being greeted by genuinely friendly the owner and manager and offers of drinks on arrival made a great start to our holiday. We also adored the gorgeous pets who came to visit us, especially Millie the dog and Leftie, the cat. The cottage was very secluded, even from the other cottages, which was great. The cottage experience surpassed our expectations. Thank you
Gillian
Had a great week at The ShhepbShed at Upper Farm, Alderbury. Accommodation is great very comfortable, clean and peaceful. The sauna and hot tub are a lovely extra and the owners are very hospitable and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a wonderful holiday in The Sheep Shed. The property itself is beautiful with everything we could have wished for! There is also so much to do and see in the area. It is right on the border of Wales, so we visited Llangollen and had a canal trip and steam train trip there! We also visited places in the immediate vicinity and had lovely walks in the hills. We would thoroughly recommend it. The owners were extremely helpful and gave us the best welcome we have ever had!
Most friendly owners ever , visited property a few times
