The Hay Barn is an absolute gem of a place, one of the best places weve stayed with Sykes. Beautiful setting, great host and everything you need for a relaxing week. Perfect for the dog too.

The Hay Barn is the perfect location for a lovely relaxing holiday. The accommodation was superb with well thought out details. Great place for beautiful countryside walks, so lovely to see the horses at close range, we certainly weren't disappointed in any way.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful place. Very relaxing and peaceful, with very friendly horses as perfect neighbours. Nicely presented and stocked with everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

I cant speak highly enough of Sharon and the Hay Barn. Whilst the photos are excellent, they do not do the Hay Barn justice. It is a beautifully decorated space. You want for absolutely nothing and there are different areas to sit outside. This was welcomed during the May heat wave. The hot tub and bar area is lovely and a great space to relax. Sharon was an excellent host and even brought us a fan to help cool the property. It was enjoyed by all of us and our dog, who thoroughly enjoyed all of the extras that Sharon provided for him. We will definitely be back! J.

The Hay barn is all it says it is an more The facilities are top notch. Sharon really has thought of everything. From stylish bedrooms to a cocktail bar to doggy treats. No stone has been left unturned. Great location to hit Gloucester, Hereford, an Oxford. So you really cant get the best out off your Cotswolds experience. With are busy lifestyles these days the Haybarn can truly help you unwind a chill out. Certainly did for us ! Weve already recommended the hay barn to our friends Brilliant

Lovely property that had everything we needed and more, I dont think the pictures show how fabulous the Hay Barn is. Sharon, the owner, was very helpful and explained everything we needed to know on arrival. We loved the tranquility of the property with the horses next to us in the fields. The hot tub was great and we made use of the BBQ a couple of times. The Red Lion, Huntley does a fabulous Sunday lunch too. Enjoyed it so much that we are looking to rebook for next year.

The Hay Barn was beautiful! Immaculately decorated and very well equipped with everything you need for a break away. It was nice that it's on its own, so you feel like you're not overlooked at all. Only slight downsides for us were the pillows are extremely soft, but that's personal preference. It was also very hot at night and we couldn't cool the room down. Overall a great find and we'll definitely be back, just with our own pillows

The Hay Barn is a superb property. It has been thoughtfully converted to the highest standard and with no detail overlooked. From the very well equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms, and carefully curated furnishings to the covered hot tub space and immaculately maintained grounds, the stunning property is matched by the very warm welcome from Sharon, who met us on arrival and ensured that we had all the information we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Absolutely stunning accommodation with added touches above & beyond your normal stay . Perfume, Foil, Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar, Candles, Dog bedstoysnibbles.. aside from cosy comfortable furnishings. Great views, handy walk to a beautiful garden centre & tearooms with the dog.

Honestly the best cottagebarn we have ever booked this place is beautiful! The level of detail, the highspec interior, kitchen, bathrooms, the list goes on they really have thought of everything. We will definitely be booking this listing again very soon excited to take friendsfamily to show them!

We had a fabulous stay at the Hay Barn. It was extremely wellequipped and was spotless. The unexpected thoughtful touches bathrobes, some toiletries, a plethora of cleaning products under the sink and fresh flowers were much appreciated, as well as the lovely welcome basket of goodies.

A fabulously kitted out property with all you need for a weekend away. Great host who was very helpful. Secluded spot. Hot tub was perfect for two. So much we didn't get to use such as fire pit, BBQ and fully stocked kitchen

We had a wonderful stay at the hay barn! It was lovely and clean, great location for Gloucester, Forest of Dean and Cheltenham! Great walks around the hay barn to take our mini schnauzer out for his morning walks! Hot tub was fabulous, amenities were great, TVs with all the apps and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise. Sharon met us and showed us everything we needed to know for a carefree relaxing stay! Would definitely recommend

Wonderful 5 days stay, great location and amazing accommodation. Sharon, our host kept nice communication throughout our stay . Everything we needed was in the accommodation and the basket on arrival was an unexpected and welcome treat. Would highly recommend if you wish to explore the cotswolds and Bath.

Fabulous place to stay. Immaculately clean tidy and comfortable with all mod cons. Very quiet area with some nice walks ,perfect for the dog. The hot tub is lovely to relax in especially when the sun going down.

So pleased we found this beautiful barn for a well needed weekend break, it completely exceeded our expectations. Sharon is a fantastic host & every little detail has been thoughtfully catered for , the welcome basket was exceptional ! Great place to stay for exploring local areas as well as the perfect place to relax and unwind , from the gorgeous horses which are so friendly to the fabulous hot tub which we spent every night in , this is a wonderful retreat and we would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here.

Just what we needed from a break away at the hay barn. It was just perfect. Sharon the host has done a wonderful job with this place. Absolutely immaculate inside, comfortable and peaceful. Everything and more was provided even treats for the dog Location is great with the Forest of Dean just round the corner, Bourton on the water isnt that far either plus plenty of lovely walks to go on. The tea room that Sharon recommended to us 1010. Cannot wait to stay again

The Hay Barn was exactly what we wanted for a break away. It is immaculate throughout and done to a very high standard. Everything was thought of, we especially liked the personal touches, treats and dog bed for our dog and treats for us too! Cannot fault anything and would highly recommend, we are already planning a return.

Great contact by property owner. Lovely property and had everything you needed. Easy to find, great directions and signage. Tried one recommendation for breakfast and we were really impressed. But to be honest the rental was so nice we were happy to stay in.

Wonderful job at bringing an old barn back to life and beautifully restored by owners who are on site. Perfect for 2 bedroom stay with loads of space and everything was immaculate

We have a lovely relaxing stay despite the weather. The outdoor area is a bonus when the weather is not good. The main bedroom and ensuite is amazing. Great location, with plenty of tearooms, farm shop, pub restaurants and places to explore that are dog friendly. We would definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

Outstanding property, thoughtfully and intuitively managed to the highest of standards. We and our son loved every minute of our stay af the Hay Barn and appreciated all of the many, many touches that made it special. The horses were adorable and hugely entertaining. We hope to return and there are very few places that make us feel like that.

Amazing barn! Luxury finish, the best bedroom Ive ever slept in!! Beautiful setting, well equipped, attention to detail, and a super friendly host who came to greet us and was on hand with any questions. I almost dont want to share a review because I want to make sure its available for next year!! Will 110 be back and hope to book a full week next time!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hay Barn, Thank you Sharon for your hospitality and excellent local knowledge finding us some great things to do! We had our two cocker spaniels with us, it is super dog friendly with walks straight from the barn. Great location to explore both the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean would 100 recommend and we will certainly be back.

I'd like to say that the place was awful, poorly maintained and the host was a nightmare so that no one would book it and we can return again whenever we wanted to ! ! However...... The place was wonderful perfect to retreat and unwind from the world for a few days. The barn itself is just wonderful, high spec and has everything you would need and was very clean. Lovely outdoor space under cover so that even if the weather isn't great you can sit outside, read, eat and drink. Would highly recommend...just not on the weeks I want to return !!

On our recent trip to Gloucestershire we were lucky to find the Hay Barn. Having stayed in many cottages, this was by far the most outstanding, luxurious accommodation to date. Our host Sharon greeted us on arrival and was very informative, not only about the accommodation and its facilities but also about the surrounding area, places to eat and visit. The Hay Barn is fully equipped with everything, from a fully equipped kitchen, to luxury bed linen and towels provided.. There was a welcome pack on arrival, which was much appreciated. The outdoor facilities were outstanding with a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ. We visited the Forest of Dean Collier Trail and sculpture trail, Symonds Yat and May Hill, all a short drive away. Outstanding 5 star accommodation, with a superb host.

It's not often that you find expectations are exceeded! A stunning impact when I first saw the Hay Barn and its outdoors. There is a careful eye to detail, not just in the finishing touches but in every aspect of consideration given to guests' needs. The Hay Barn is extremely well equipped and I can't think of anything that would improve it. The huge bed was of excellent quality and gave a wonderful night's sleep. The decor, indoors and outdoors in the covered area, is very pleasing, as are the welcome packs and added extras discovered in various places. Our two dogs greyhound and staffiecross were in their element, loving the free flow between indoors and outdoors which was completely enclosed and safe for them. The beds, treats, throws, towels....... what more could they want?! The hottub, with its changing LED Lights and bluetooth link to all our music was all that was relaxing, especially under the night sky. This is a great place, too, for discovering surrounding towns and areas, good eateries in close proximity as well as further afield. Sharon is very approachable, easy to communicate with and wants nothing more than to ensure her guests have a wonderful time. She certainly achieved that! She has created by far and away the best holiday home we have stayed in. Thank you so much, Sharon.

We had such a relaxing time at the hay barn. All of our needs were catered for and we used it as a base to explore the surrounding areas, including Gloucester, the forest of Dean and Ross on wye. Our 2 little dogs loved the outside area, which was fully enclosed and safe for them. We had a lovely little welcome hamper on arrival, and the hottub was a nice touch too. Sharon the owner lives at the end of the drive, and was on hand straight away if there was any issues or quiries. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely holiday home. We had a lovely week in this beautiful property in a wonderful, peaceful and picturesque setting. The Barn was extremely comfortable, and there was nothing that hadn't been thought of extremely wellequipped property. Sharon was very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. She even managed to provide great weather too!! Amazing! The Barn was situated right on the edge of the Forest of Dean, and the Cotswold towns of Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water etc. were all within an easy drive. Recommendations of The Glasshouse Inn and the Fairview Garden Centre for a garden centre and tea roombreakfastlunch across the road were on point and wellworth a visit. Would definitely return to this property if holidaying in the area again, and would highly recommend. Thank you Sharon x
