The Dove Cote, Brompton-on-Swale

Loverly clean place with everthing you needed the secure garden was great for our little dog to play we brought a baby gate to stop our dog going up stairs but there was one aready there. This cottage is highly recomeded a great location to explore with loads of history there are two local pubs the Crown on your door step and one further diwn the road that both do great food and were dog friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you so much for the wine and fudge and a great hoilday.

Lovely little cottage. great location. warm welcoming local pub. BnB next door which we have tried to find on line but unfortunately not been able to. Looks like the owners also have a further 2 properties in their portfolio. would make an ideal location for a coupled group looking for a nice relaxing space where they can have a lovely get away yet their on private space. Could do with a few more kitchen utensils eg tong, turner, carving fork

We've had a fantastic week here in Dovecote, Lovely cottage with everything you need, Felt really welcomed and comfortable, Thank you for the wine and fudge, Very yummy, The hot tub was amazing, The enclosed shower in the garden was a god sent especially as I get up alot earlier than hubby so was able to shower each morning without waking him, Both dogs enjoyed the enclosed courtyard the extra round washing up bowl came in very handy for us to pour water over the courtyard every time they did a wee or poo keeping it all fresh and clean We had lovely food at the crown but also had everything we needed for any cooking we did do, The village shop over the road stocks everything you could ever need, even souvenirs to take back home, Thank you for all the information leaflets for places to go, We had really lovely days out, We went on walks along the river in both directions, To Scorton lakes, To keld waterfalls trails, To Raby Castle Gardens and 200 acres deer park and to Saltburn by the sea, So a big thank you for a wonderful week in your fantastic cottage , xxx

Property was excellent, nice and clean, very cosy. We stayed for 5 nights with our dog and was very impressed with it. Would definitely book again and already recommend it to friends.

A beautiful cottage nice and cosy very clean hot tub was amazing. A lovely pub 2mins walk away and a shop opposite. The walks were great and north allerton a place to visit with good shops,will certainly be back again.

The kitchen needs. Proper deep clean. The cooker hood extractor is filthy and stinks of stale grease making the whole downstairs have that awful smell. Floors not clean, stair carpet is filthy at the bottom. Cobwebs etc Towels were marked and like sandpaper . Good location enclosed yard was great. Just needs a real good clean

A beautiful cottage very well appointed and comfortable. Location is perfect for a relaxing break and perfectly situated to explore the surrounding areas. Definitely a wee gem.

The location itself was great for a lot of our favourite hikes in yorkshire, the local pub do delicious desserts everything is easily commutable! Hot tub was the perfect size for two people would be great with the cover in winter. The cottage itself had a really cosy vibe! Only note we have is alot of things need a little update like all the crockery, utensils, outdoor furniture etc maybe a welcome pack would be helpful too, this is the only place we have stayed over the last 5 years that didnt supply a welcome pack with info Would recommend for anyone who doesnt like to be too isolated when in the country as based on a busy estate. Nice change, we really enjoyed our stay

Wow what can I say had a fabulous stay so chilled and relaxing loved the cottage. Everything you needed hot tub just made it too. Would definitely recommend to all will also be back for another visit soon.

A beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage with a lovely kitchen. It's a bit strange having an open toilet and bath in the bedroom but manageable thanks to the outside toilet and shower. Some maintenance issues, particularly with the outside furnishings. The outdoor loungers are in a dangerous condition. The outdoor space is great for dogs but a piece of flat rubber or wood on the bottom of the gates would make it even safer for small dogs. The bed was really comfy but it could do with new pillows. Thank you to the owners for the wine and chocolates. Overall a pleasant stay.

Dove Cote cottage is perfect in every way. Absolutely lovely. Everything you could want, need with extra touches. The hot tub is great after a day out. The village is perfect and a great pub 2 mins away. Riverside walk 5 mins away. Location to exploring the areas around Yorkshire is perfect too.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need. Dave was very reactive to a minor electrical problem and dealt with the issue immediately. Everything was spotless and clean and the hot tub was a lovely addition. The bottle of wine and fudge was a thoughtful welcome gift. The local pub serves lovely pub food and is a short walk away and the locals are very welcoming. A little village shop is across the way with everything you need for your stay. Lovely country and riverside dog walks all 5 minutes away. You won't be disappointed

Lovely and quiet. Excellent Sunday dinner in the pub next door. Very warm and cosy. Excellent Indian takeaway in Richmond that delivered! The only thing that was needed was maybe a book with how to work things. Especially the underfloor heating! I would highly recommend.

This is a fabulous quirky property, which felt so homely, spacious & comfortable. The bedding & towels smelt lovely, thank you. The hot tub was what really sold it to us & didnt disappoint, the tv was a great addition. We would recommend this property, only 3 miles from Richmond, which has a lovely theatre, nice shops.

The Dove Cote is a lovely little cottage. It's clean and well kept, and the owners have provided a substantial list of things to do, places to eat and helpful numbers for during your stay. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone and would love to return in the future!

Beautiful place to stay. Close to pub. Only draw back. You need to travel miles for entertainment. Great place to relax and switch off.

Perfect cottage. 1010 for everything. Location brilliant for exploring. In the village there is a shop that is well stocked and very friendly, there's 2 pubs one a couple of minutes walk away the other a 10 minute stroll, both friendly with lovely, reasonable priced food. We will definitely book the dove cote again.

We loved our stay at dove cove! So quite,relaxing, very welcoming, clean and tidy, we went to some nice restaurants in richmond too.

This cottage is beautiful. Very well equipped & spotlessly clean. The hot tub is glorious. Fran & Dave are such a lovely couple. Nothings too much for them. Everything is just as it should be & more. We loved are stay for the 3rd year running. Will be coming back again

Lovely cottage, could be better with a few things, tv in bedroomhot tub need replacing as showing age. Need a blind over the bedroom window. Better quality towels would be nice feature.

This cottage is stunning, it has everything you need and want . The owners are very friendly and helpful. Two lovely pubs within walking distance. A great little shop just over the road. We will definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful, cozy little cottage in a beautiful location. The village itself is very pretty with a local shop just across the road from the cottage and a lovely local pub just down the road. The cottage is clean and well maintained with almost everything you could need the only things we found lacking were some large glasses we like to take large glasses of water to bed with us to drink throughout the night and an indoor shower! It was a little awkward showering in the bathtub! Other than that, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. The bedroom is cozy with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage. We slept incredibly well during our stay. Dave came and introduced himself to us on arrival and explained a few things before reassuring us that if we needed anything he was only next door. Other than that, we were left to our own devices. There are plenty of places to explore within a reasonable driving distance. We visited Richmond only a few miles away and Whitby, which was well worth the drive. Although we didnt venture there on this visit, we have previously been to Barnard Castle, which is only a few miles away and definitely worth a visit if you havent been before. We came for a weekend away for a quiet, relaxing weekend to get away from the daily grind and thats exactly what we got! The hot tub is great, especially with the outdoor TV to watch whilst chilling out.
