Riviere Barton Reviews

Outstanding property, it had such a relaxing feel from the moment we arrived. Kitchen is fully equipped that you could literally bake a cake if you wanted to! Spotlessly clean. A lovely homemade cake was there on our arrival. I cannot wait to go back.
Timothy
Highly recommend! Spotlessly clean throughout, with incredibly comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need Including all the small touches. The property is full of charm and character, and the hot tub is a real highlight clean, relaxing, and perfect after a day out. A wonderful place to stay and we wouldnt hesitate to return.
Charlie
Ideally situated for access to all areas and destination we wanted to visit. It was much appreciated to find on our arrival Coffey, Milk, and a wonderful Chocolate Cake. The cottage was great and for a working farm very quiet the facility's were superb, I would recommend the cottage to others for a visit . We would like to thank the owners for a great week and would revisit the cottage again for another holiday.
Lauren
We really enjoyed our stay here. It had everything we needed and much more. A beautiful place, with ample room for us. A great base to explore Cornwall and very peaceful to come back to after days adventuring! Would definitely recommend.
Jacqui
We had a wonderful stay house is extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and we were very grateful for the cake, coffee, tea, sugar and milk left for us. All beds super comfy. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could wish for and we just loved the coffee machine!!! The cottage is very tastefully decorated which gave it bags of character with a warm, cosy and homely feel. We loved the decor in the very spacious lounge and the very very comfortable sofas. A great place to all be together at the end of the day. The hot tub was just amazing. So private, so lovely and warm . Just perfect, and we were able to turn the lights off on clear evenings and watch satellites trailing across the night sky. Communication with owners was great, they always responded quickly to any messages I sent. We throughly enjoyed our week away and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cottage in this area. Thank you for a great stay. Jacqui and Mike

We found the cottage to be lovely and comfortable and a great base for getting to lots of local attractions. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and the beds are all very comfortable. The hot tub got used everyday and was a perfect end to our everyday adventures. Weve already considered booking again next year. Our only EBIs would be some towel hooks are needed outside near the hot tub as we found ourselves dragging the heavy garden chairs round everyday to put them on. the garden furniture could do with a good clean down on the patio area its in desperate need of some weeding, sweeping and planting to make it a nicer area.
Couldnt have been better. The house has such a lovely vibe, it feels familiar and homely while still being beautifully decorated, warm, spotlessly clean. The location is brilliant, with so many lovely places to explore nearby. It was perfect for us as two couples, a young child and a baby. The only tiny thing Id mention is the bedroom closest to the living room felt a little plainer than the others, but honestly this is so minor and completely outweighed by how fantastic the rest of the house is. We really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was, and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, milk in the fridge, ice in the freezer and even a little cake on the stand which my nephew loved! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Thanks so much x

Such a wonderful place to stay! The cottage was beautiful, comfy and clean with every amenity you could want. It was in a lovely tranquil setting which meant you could really relax in the hot tub. The grounds were well maintained and the meadow was a great bonus for our dog to run around in. I would definitely recommend this cottage to stay in and would certainly return again.
Amazing property and location. Our family had an amazing stay. Our only gripe was that we needed a secure gardenoutdoor spare due to having young children with additional needs. This property is advertised as enclosed which it is so not mis advertised. However, I made the assumption this meant secure which unfortunately it wasn't. We were lucky enough to have two cars to block the drive to make it secure so didn't ruin us being able to enjoy the outdoor space although making it a bit of an inconvenience.
We had a wonderful stay and the accommodation was comfortable and immaculate offering everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.
Riviere Barton is a lovely cottage just outside Hayle. Extremely comfortable with all the amenities that you would need. Definitely a home from home feel to it.
We all really enjoyed our stay with you. Our granddaughters had plenty of space and freedom and loved going to the meadow climbing frame. The kitchen is equipped with everything thing you could possibly need. The bedrooms and lounge extremely comfortable. The hot tub was enjoyed every day. Thank you for your hospitality.
Riviere Barton is the best holiday property we have stayed in. Cake and flowers on arrival was a nice and welcoming touch. Comfortable, quiet and so well equipped, it was certainly a home away from home. Ideal as a base to explore Cornwall, so many places within a 45 minutes drive. Thankyou so much. We will certainly be back.
There are non negative comments to make, we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Every day we went for a trip, sightseeing the area. And every day we were excited to get back, to spend also time in the cottage. It felt like home. And a very nice, warm welcome by arrival. Some flowers and a cake! Yes, if we would go again to this area, it would be again at Riviere Barton!
The house was lovely and clean. There was everything needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was great. The beds were super comfortable. The WiFi was a bit intermittent at times though. It was lovely to be able to eat outside. The amazing beach and shops were just a few minutes drive away. The Bluff Inn was great for food breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also Cove Cafe was great for lunch and drinks. Would definitely recommend this place and probably will come stay here again.
Alessandra
The property was beautiful! It rained a lot when we were there and there were games and books to read. We loved the cosy, stylish and elegant decoration and it was cosy and felt luxurious at the same time. The only issue was with the outside space. We have a nosy little dachshund to loves to explore and it wasn't enclosed as it stated in the details. We managed to construct a barrier to keep her safe whilst we were in the hottub, but this wouldn't have worked if she had been any bigger, or if she'd spotted a bird on the other side!! It is down a long, bendy driveway, though, and quite far from the main road, so we weren't too worried about it. We had lots of beautiful wanders around the grounds and there are some spectacular sea views from up the hill a bit. The facilities were second to none and we all had a great holiday. Thank you
Lovely stay at Riviere Barton. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable week. Very clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage was child friendly too and the layout makes it easy to toddler proof for future years as we can shut rooms off. Although the driveway is not enclosed it is long and wide and there were very few cars about so there was no issue with the children out the front and walking down to the climbing frame. Sadly we forgot to take wellies and the ground was boggy due to the rain but we're hoping to try out the climbing frame next time! Excellent location for getting out to all our usual stomping grounds. The main road is not far away. We will definitely be back!
Korron
We booked the property specifically as it had a hot tub however this was only partially useable and not suited for 4 due to the damage and decay of the hot tub cover. The owners it seems were met down by the delivery service but the damage was clearly not recent. Boiler packed up part way through the week and the owner was very responsive, resolving it quickly.
Rachel
Such a beautiful property, perfectly located so that you have your own privacy but still within a short drive of towns, shops and days out. We couldnt have possibly asked for more in the way of homely touches, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. We would 100 recommend and stay again our selves.
First time in Cornwall so didnt really know where to stay. We picked the best place and location. Riviere Barton has got absolutely everything you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone first class property
Nicola
Very comfortable holiday cottage with beautiful decor and fixings.
Very comfortable holiday cottage with beautiful decor and fixings.
Charlotte
This is a beautiful house set in a quiet location. This immaculate house had lovely touches everywhere and was equipped with everything you might need. The hot tub was large and easy to operate and the outdoor area was spacious and perfect for a bbq in the warm evenings. I was worried that our young dog would like the freedom too much as the garden was not enclosed, but he stayed close by and if he did wonder, there was a nice, grassy park at the end of the drive which was quiet and safe and nowhere near a main road. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Sahrish
Lovely break, owners were very prompt and responsive to any issues that arose during the visit. Would definitely recommend to friends.
A great place to stay. Lovely clean house. The hot tub was perfect. Close to some beautiful beaches. We had a really relaxing break here.

We had a lovely stay at Riviere Barton . Well maintained with everything you need , lovely decor , very clean . Cannot fault . Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again sometime
Myself and my son have just had a holiday here. We both agree that this property is the most comfortable and well equipped property we have ever stayed in. The furniture and beds are lovely. The place is spotlessly clean and every kitchen utensil you could ever want. The hit tub was an absolute bonus that we used every day. The area is lovely, quiet and very relaxing. All in all we had the perfect break. We both would recommend a stay here. The owners check with us regularly that every thing is ok, very caring.
