Pipistrelle Reviews

Thomas
We loved our stay at Pipistrelle. Great setting, friendly owners and goats!. Lots to do and see and explore for kids. Well definitely be using it as our base for future UK trips
Raymond
Lovely property with really nice owners. The goats are a real pick you up, they do love their ginger nuts. I think they had three packets during the week. The property is extremely well prepared and will jot disappoint.
Absolutely outstanding.
What a lovely property. Well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was amazing as was the provision of extra towels for the hot tub and a heated towel rail to dry them. An added extra was the goats over the fence and the biscuits provided to feed them also an amazing array of food and drink as a welcome gift. Even though we were on a working farm, this did not impact on our stay and we only saw the owners once before we left and didnt see the other guests at all.
Tracey
Perfect and extremely comfortable base. This holiday let has a well equipped kitchen as well as all the little things like washing up liquid, dishwasher and laundry tablets. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels and separate hot tub towels. Hairdryer and hangers. There was a generous welcome basket. We loved watching and feeding the goats with gingernut biscuits at the rear of the property. Lovely friendly and welcoming hosts
Stephen
Really excellent accommodation, well thought out and spacious. First class facilities from the hot tub outside to large very soft towels and a welcome pack of milk, eggs, hot drinks & prosecco. There is a field with friendly goats behind the property. Will definitely stay again.
We had a fabulous stay in this high end specification barn conversion. Phil and Clare were brilliant hosts welcoming us to their lovely family haven.

The property was fabulous, spotless, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was brilliant and very thoughtful. It was in a good location for visiting lots of interesting places and was so nice to come back to the hot tub for a relax after a day out. We definitely recommend this property for a great stay.
Luxury accommodation everything clean and tidy with modern fixtures and fittings. Hosts very friendly and attentive and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Private rear garden with own hot tub and view of playful goats in the field.
This was our second visit to this lovely cottage. Perfect in every way. Hot tub was great after a busy day exploring the local area. The welcome pack was great too
What a fantastic little gem! The cottage is lovely, well equipped, clean and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is great! Location is great! Owners friendly and helpful, they also left us a lovely welcome package with some essentials and treats
Property clean, tidy and very comfortable. Hot tub very good and private. Owners are very friendly and welcoming and the welcome pack in property is a lovely touch. Highly recommend.
Sharon
Lovely holiday cottage that was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. An added 'extra' the delightful goats at the end of the garden! They were so cute and perfect if you have children! The place was very well equipped, though perhaps could have done with a few more instructions on things, i.e how to work the blind in the second bedroom which bin to use for the different types of rubbish etc. Then again, with the lovely, friendly owners right there, it was always easy to ask about such things! All in all, this is a holiday cottage to thoroughly recommend and would be perfect in the summer months.
Rachel
Gorgeous well equipped cottage. The hot tub is such a nice bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Fantastic little place, loved everything about it, the hot tub was amazing and I now want one at home! , the goats were cute and it was fun giving them biscuits in the morning. The little extras on arrival were very much appreciated. Would love to come back at some point in the future.
Michal

We had a fabulous stay, property well equipped and very clean. Amazing welcome basket when we arrived, hot tub maintained everyday and the goats over the garden fence are lovely! We will definitely be back!
Lovely holiday cottage very clean, comfortable and great location, fantastic welcome pack, enjoyed the surroundings and feeding the goats.
The only thing I would say would be clearer signage to the property. Other than this everything was excellent one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Pipistrelle holiday cottage, and I must say, the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped through the door, it was evident that the accommodation was outstanding. My wife and I tend to bring everything with us when traveling to holiday rentals, but at Pipistrelle, we needn't have bothered. These hosts have truly thought of everything, leaving us feeling utterly pampered. The welcome gifts were a delightful surprise, setting the tone for our stay. Moreover, the standard of the cottage itself was exceptional. In fact, I can confidently say that this cottage is the best we have ever rented. It's fully equipped with every amenity imaginable, from the luxurious underfloor heating to the convenience of TVs in both bedrooms. And let's not forget the highlight of our stay the wonderful hot tub in the back garden, which provided the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. One aspect that particularly impressed us was the cleanliness of the cottage. It was spotless upon our arrival, a testament to the care and attention to detail of the hosts. Honestly, we struggled to find anything to criticize. If I had to nitpick, the only thing I would change is the ability to transport the entire cottage to Scotland with us. That's how much we loved it! Overall, our experience at Pipistrelle holiday cottage was nothing short of magical. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable getaway. Huge thanks to the hosts for creating such a haven of relaxation and luxury. We can't wait to return!
The accomodation is set in a very beautiful and serene area. The weather was wet most of the time that we were on our holiday so the comforts of this accommodation helped us keep warm and the facilities provided were everything we needed for a lovely holiday away from home. There were several family games left on the shelf to keep us busy in the evening too. The hot tub helped to warm up after a cold day outside. The welcome package provided by the owners was a huge bonus. How generous of the owners to go out of their way to provide numerous treats for both the grownups and the children in the family a big thank you to them for their very warm welcome. The goats in their paddock adjoining the backyard were a pleasant sight every morning the children loved interacting with them. We would definitely visit again.
Fabulous little cottage, which was warm and cosy and immaculately clean. With added bonus of hot tub and friendly goats in the next field. Situated in the countryside but so near plenty of attractions. i.e. Biddulph gardens NT, Buxton and Peak District, Churnet valley railway, Denby Factory booked tour recommended As well as central Stoke with all its shops and potteries. The owners were nearby and very friendly and helpful if needed but didnt intrude. Two bedrooms each with en suite facilities made this a perfect stay for two couples. Highly recommended.
A perfect place to relax clean, tidy, well appointed, and quiet these are important aspects for us. The owners were available for assistance but were not intrusive. For all these reasons I would stay again in this delightful accommodation. The rural location requires your own transportation to get groceriessupplies but short trips to Tesco are always a treat for Canadians!
Richard
This was a carefully and lovingly converted Barn. The owners have clearly understood the needs of guests by providing relevant quality fixtures and fittungs. The en suites were particularly well appointed, and underfloor heating throughout kept the cottage cosy. Nowadays, we never go anywhere without a hottub! Another bonus was that both rooms were doubles, so no need to toss for the twinbedded!!! The owners were lovely. Even with a full compliment of extended family of their own, they still invited us over for midnight fireworks at New Year.
A lovely cottage . Comfy and immaculately clean . We had everything that we needed . Situated in a peaceful location and we enjoyed relaxing there but also convenient for visiting local attractions . The owners were also very helpful .
This property is the best that we have ever stayed in we wanted for nothing ... This property is the best that we have ever stayed in we wanted for nothing everything was spotless plenty of towels supplied even for the hot tub also a nice little hamper on arrival and all cleaning supplies really great hostesses
Perfect cottage spotless ,1010
Absolutely fantastic holiday let, everything felt brand new and very cosy. The hot tub was a big bonus out children loved it and was nice for us once they were ticked up in bed to relax and have a glass of champagne, generously given by the hosts along side a welcome pack which included an assortment of snacks and some eggs laid by there own chickens. The kids loved saying hello to the goats from the back garden every morning too. I recommend this to anyone, and we will definitely come back again.
Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage it was ideal for what we wanted. It was well presented and probably the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in! Very impressed overall and would highly recommend.
Our two week stay in Pipistrelle was fabulous! The cottage was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities that you could wish for. We have booked holidays with Sykes for many years and I can honestly say that this is the best property that we have ever stayed in. The owners are extremely helpful and nothing is too much bother. The welcome pack was a great surprise and the hot tub is just wonderful! There are lots of places to visit in the area too so no chance of being bored!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pipistrelle. Everything we needed was included, lovely welcome pack on our arrival and exceptionally clean property. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Couldnt have asked for more.
Sharon
Lovely accommodation well equipped and to have the welcome pack and kitchen cleaning things a brilliant bonus. Peaceful location and some nice walks nearby. Hot tub was also great with great views of the little goat's.
The photos online do not do Pipistrelle justice. It was so clean, amazingly well equipped and the goats were very amusing. This is the nicest holiday home we have stayed at. The welcome basket came with chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee, freshly laid eggs, milk, cheese Staffordshire oatcakes and prosecco. Such a lovely touch by the owners.
Really lovely property had everything you needed. Very peaceful place. Hot tub was great and bbq. Had a great time even though it rained most of the week, will go back again. Owner put a bottle of wine, crisps, biscuits, milk, oatcake and cheese
An incredible accommodation. Very spacious, immaculately clean and in a beautiful location. A really thoughtful welcome gift from the very kind owners who were able to help instantly with any queries. This place has everything!
Pauline
A few welcome essentials and treats were there for us on our arrival and we were warmly greeted by the host. The property was spotless! Simple in design and spacious airy rooms with high ceilings! Facilities were as new with every need catered for. Lovely kitchen with quality appliances and the bathrooms with powerful hot showers! We are not normally fans of wet rooms but these were of a good design and with the underfloor heating dried floors quite quickly! The hot tub was that extra special addition which just made the stay even more fun and relaxing! Excellent location! Hidden away yet easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants. The friendly goats in the field at the back provided their own bit of entertainment! . Overall simply a lovely stay and to be recommended.
This was a lovely place to stay with excellent facilities. We appreciated the spotlessly clean cottage with a well appreciated welcome package and we loved the hot tub. It proved to be an ideal place to meet up with family that we hadn't seen for a while and gave us nice comfortable evenings for a chat and catch up followed by a good nights sleep in nice comfortable beds. A lovely quiet location. Thank you
Gloria
It was just as pictured. . beautiful, peaceful and extremely clean. The little extra touches too like milk, cheese & bottle of fizz were much appreciated! Would definitely visit again.
