Parnacott Reviews

We all had a lovely time. John and Rondi greeted us when we arrived. A lovely couple very friendly and welcoming. Lovely house clean and comfortable. The grandchildren loved the grounds.Dave and Jan.
Alan Charles
Enjoyed a lovely week here, everything we needed kitchen wise to cook some delicious meals for our large group. John and Rondi were very helpful and made us very welcome. Everyone relaxed from 83 year old to the youngest aged nearly 2. Added touches we're most appreciated and we all enjoyed the chocolate cake and strawberries especially. Highly recommend.
A lovely comfortable house for a family reunion with very welcoming hosts. Lots of amenities, loads of space and a great location near the Devon Cornwall border.
A gorgeous home with stunning period features and lots of beautiful art and adding character to every room. We enjoyed all the space inside and outside the house. The hot tub was lovely and the kids enjoyed the pool table and the ping pong table in the open barn. John and Rondi were friendly, warm and welcoming and were around to help at any time.

Wonderful time spent here. It gave us a true sense of being in a home rather than being in a holiday house. The hosts were lovely and could not do enough for us. The grandchildren loved there time here, both inside the house and exploring outside. Ideal location to explore Devon with all our family and their young ones.
Deirdre
This property and its grounds are stunning, and the owners are so lovely, friendly and helpful. We couldnt have picked a better place for our 70th birthday celebrations
Andrew
Owners were lovely. The house was great but it felt cluttered and with lots of items that were untouchable, it was like living in a museum for a week. But I would still highly recommend staying in this beautiful house
Victoria
Beautiful house and grounds with lots of history. It fit our party of 12 comfortably. The grounds were full of wildlife and perfect for walking our dog around. House has various rooms to relax and unwind. The kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious nicely decorated in a vintage style. Central heating and water pressure was great throughout the house. There was a barn full of outdoor games which we made use of on the large front lawn. The hot tub was a nice treat. Shops are nearby. Bude and other coastal areas are just a short drive away. And Exmoor Zoo is further but still possible as a daytrip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at Parnacott as a family of three generations this summer, having never visited before. We were so pleased with the 'home from home' feeling of comfort that the property offered and the spacious environment that held something for everyone from the feeling of nature on your doorstep, a plethora of books all around and the table tennis set up in the barn. The teenagers in the family thoroughly enjoyed organising a tournament and 'thrashing' their elders! Thank you John and Rhondi for a lovely stay.
Jennifer
We had a lovely week with three generations of family, the house had a relaxed charm with woodland walks and outdoor dining.
Christine

Owners were lovely, the house has a lot of history. The ten of us aging from 1 to 75 all enjoyed our stay. Location is great and very close to Bude with some lovely beaches.

Parnacott house is an amazing, charming place, full of character and steeped in history, huge bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, lots of fridge and freezer space, double oven so plenty of cooking facilities. The gardens are incredible and spacious. We had an amazing time, 12 of us and we never felt cramped. John and Rondi was so welcoming and gave us a tour of the place, showed us where everything is, and nothing was too much trouble, even complementry cake, chocolates and wine. A lovely touch. We didnt want to leave after our week. Would definitely go back. The weather was glorious so made it even more special.
Wonderful holiday in a beautiful housse.
Nicola
We all had such a wonderful time. A family get together was made so special by the facilities at Parnacott. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. They were on hand if needed and were so generous and thoughtful leaving little flowers for our celebratory meal in the dining room a welcome pack and some chocolates for a special birthday, for which we had hired a chef. The table tennis and lawn games were a great hit with everyone. Thank you Parnacott for bringing us altogether from various countries and different areas of the country. The proximity of Bude was perfect for days on the beach in a beach hut. Everyone had a great time.
Nicola
Fantastic location! beautifully tranquil and relaxing but also not far from towns or beaches. The house was perfect for our family holiday as it easily housed 13 of us and not once did we feel crowded. The great grandparents enjoyed the beautiful grounds which they felt comfortable wandering around whereas the younger members were able to play table tennis or snooker. We visited Bude a few times as the surfing was excellent there. The house itself was clean, comfortable, spacious and full of interesting history. The owners of the property were kind and incredibly helpful, we were sad to leave.
This house is beautiful! The grounds its set in, beautiful! The surrounding area? You guessed it! BEAUTIFUL! John and Rondi are just wonderful! The house feels like a home away from home. Everything you could need is in the house! Travel light, theres ironing facilities, washing machine and dryer, hairdryers! You name it, parnacott has it! Perfect for children, the barn is well stocked with games, beach equipment for all ages and a ping pong table too! We had the most amazing holiday and can not wait to return! If you get the chance, say hi to Wilfie hes great!!!! Thanks Team parnacott!
We had a lovely holiday, the 1st for a while with all the family. Perfect location & with the most beautiful gardens, our Grandchildren loved it. The hosts, John & Rondi are very welcoming & the treats that were waiting for us were very much appreciated. A perfect place to stay, particularly if wanting a beach holiday.
Parnacott is a real treat. A very special place to stay. Close to great walks and fab beaches. Highly recommended.
Little extras such as wine, cake, soap and general basics were very much appreciated. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking. Dogs were made welcome also.
We were a party of ten adults and one child and enjoyed a wonderful week here. The beautiful house is a lovely cosy home. Every possible need is catered for. The bedrooms are large, with comfortable beds. The bathrooms have excellent showers. The kitchen is excellently equipped. The games room has lots of games. The gardens are beautiful with plenty of seating areas. I can highly recommend this property.
An absolutely fabulous weekend the owners of Parnacott House could not have been more welcoming to their home. Brilliant gardens thoroughly recommend for large family get togethers
Colleen
The property is beautiful, set in tranquil grounds. It offers a different experience to most other large highly rated properties. It is densely decorated with old family portraits, much old china and other family heirlooms. The owners and other members of the family live in adjoining and neighbouring cottages, there is an internal interconnecting door between the main house and the owners cottage. The property could perhaps do with some internal decoration and replacements, such as repainting ceilings and replacing threadbare carpets but perhaps this adds to the old country house experience? The property was very clean when we arrived.
