Meadow Barn Reviews

Nathan
Meadow barn is a beautiful property and on first impression we though amazing! The property is well equipped and has one of the best kitchen setups we've seen in a holiday cottage. The settinglocation is beautiful and it has easy access to local areas and places further afield. Unfortunately a few things let it down for us There are no blindscurtains at all on the bedroom roof windows this makes sleep incredibly challenging as the windows are directly above the bed. It made sleep even more challenging for our 5month old baby. The mattress in the main bedroom has seen much better days my back was glad to return home by the end of the week. Both of these points have been mentioned in previous reviews and the guest book but they remain the same. It's a real shame as Meadow Barn if a fantastic property and could be somewhere we would return to time & time again but sleeping comfortably is important whilst on holiday, and this cannot currently be achieved.
Annette
A lovely comfortable, well equipped, tasteful place to stay in a lovely location.

We found cottage was very cosy and comfortable. Nice and warm, very quiet and private, the days just drifted away pleasantly. A high standard of fittings and furnishings. We found the main ensuite luxurious. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. And just to note, out of the 6 eggs, 5 had double yolks.

Zeer fijn, gezellig ingericht en rustig huisje. Heel netjes. Alles werkte perfect in keuken en badkamer. Vloerverwarming was lekker warm. Voor ons vonden wij dat er iets te weinig potten en pannen waren. De tv was wel ok maar viel telkens uit. Zeker aan te bevelen.

We stayed a fortnight at the Meadow Barn and enjoyed the time there. The Barn is really nice and modern. The place is remote and calm, but handy visits smaller towns and NTproperties in the area. The beds were very comfortable. The outsides, the kitchen and the information folder need a little TLC. Some items of the cookware need a replacement. It would be great, if the smaller bedroom gets a storage for clothes. Over all we had a great time in the Meadow Barn and recommend others to stay there!
Great week spent at Meadow Barn. Cottage fulfilled all of our needs. Freezer as mentioned before needs defrosting as unable to use it properly because of build up of ice. Mostly really quiet although the horse next door obviously gets up earlier than us! But it really wasnt a problem. As mentions by others either roof blinds or the neighbours redirecting their house lights to another direction might be better as they seem to shine directly towards the Barn. We visited the Malvern show twice and then Hereford , Ludlow , Church Stretton and the Clee Hill. Leominster itself is a lovely little town , lots of antique shops to browse. We were lucky with the weather and the barn was lovely and warm at the end of the day. We hope to be back again soon. Many thanks Jen for letting us stay.
Beautifully decorated, exceptional bathroom Kitchen could do with instructions for microwave & cooking pans a little lacking otherwise the kitchen was well equipped. Wanted to use the freezer but badly iced up. We didnt leave any feedback in the visitor book due to us not having a pen That said we would love to stay here again, loved the location & the niggles were minor. The property suited two generations, we had an elderly parent & was excellent being all on the one level & excellent bedroom bathroom facilities Plenty to see in the area & well worth visiting Happy to recommend to others
Kathryn
Lovely and comfortable, the heating coped well with the cold weather which was a concern for me with the high ceilings and travelling with an older couple. plenty of throws provided but we didn't need to use them as we were lucky to have sunshine during the day which warmed up the living room. A shelf or small cupboard would be handy in the larger bathroom as we had to leave our toiletry bags on the floor. The secure garden was great for our small dog, with the gate having mesh at the bottom which wasn't obvious from the pictures. We were able to do a good circular walk from the barn as the roads aren't busy and there were usually verges where we could get out of the way of any traffic. We were able to hear the horses in the barn next door to the larger bedroom at night when they decided to stamp about but it didn't disturb me and luckily our dog didn't take any notice. I would definitely recommend this property for a very relaxing break.
Claire
Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed. Didnt want to leave! The heating we couldnt get on with, very chilly in the evenings the throws came in handy.
Meadow Barn is a stunning place to relax, the location to the attention to detail, Andrew and Jen have gone above and beyond in creating a beautiful place.

Very lovely and spacious barn lot's of room for 4 people it would have been a lot better if I did not pick the coldest weekend this year even so we had a great time would recommend to family and friends for a nice pieceful break
Andrew
Excellent cottage in a great location. The barn has been tastefully renovated and really comfortable with all the things you need for self catering. As well as the under counter fridge, there is a tall fridgefreezer in the utility room which gave plenty of food and drink storage for New Year celebrations!!! There are plenty of areas to explore within 30 minute drive, or further afield if you wish. Also lots of shops within a 15 minute drive in Leominster or Tunberry Wells. Pleasant communications with owner via text. We had a brief water outage after a burst mains and the owner was quick to make sure we were okay. The guest book is full of glowing reports and I can see why. Highly recommended!!!
Heather
Lovely quiet property. We were left eggs, milk, proseco, chocolates and dog biscuits all lovely thanks. Owner was very helpful with one small issue. Secure rear yard was ideal for the dog as well as all the quiet walks close by. The kitchen was well equipped but no potato masher. I would have liked a set of drawers or more storage in the smaller bedroom and brighter bedside reading lights. But we had a really restful stay as very comfy beds. Would stay again.
Stephanie
It's a great conversion and set in a lovely area of Puleston in Herefordshire countryside. Great location for a summer holiday however, having just spent a week there in late September early October and the weather not being great we found that it needs a second heating appliance as the evenings were a bit chilly and had nowhere to dry any clothing etc.
Patricia
Excellent facilities and enjoyed. Only one issue.Slipped in shower so a shower mat would be a good idea.Plus a shelf in shower for items. But everything else was excellent
We had such a lovely stay at Meadow Barn a few weeks ago. Property is beautifully decorated, comfortable & contained everything we needed. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch & included some biscuits for our little dog. Location is remote so we got the much needed peace & quiet. However, not too far from the towns we wanted to visit.
The property is fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there
We had a brilliant stay at Meadow Barn. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for your stay! Located next to a working farm which our toddler loved
A good modern holiday property, set in peaceful countryside. Generous outside area with views and plenty of parking space. The owner was friendly and came promptly to deal with some minor problems. Whilst overall we found the cottage very comfortable, we thought blinds for the rooflights would have been welcome. Also the freezer needed some attention. We enjoyed our stay, thank you. Gill and Alan.
Caroline
Beautiful property, description and reality is spot on. Has everything you would wish for and more. Great location, plenty to see and do but equally nice home to relax in. Would come again
Our stay was perfect, the decor is absolutely gorgeous. This really is a stunning property! Everything has been thought of a true home from home. We had such a relaxing time, the living room is an amazing sun trap, there are stunning views, the bed was super comfy and the roll top bath was bliss all 5 stars! We would highly recommend Meadow Barn and look forward to returning again soon!
